Gal 2, 1-21

1 Next, after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, taking with me Barnabas and Titus. 2 And I went up according to revelation, and I debated with them about the Gospel that I am preaching among the Gentiles, but away from those who were pretending to be something, lest perhaps I might run, or have run, in vain. 3 But even Titus, who was with me, though he was a Gentile, was not compelled to be circumcised, 4 but only because of false brothers, who were brought in unknowingly. They entered secretly to spy on our liberty, which we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might reduce us to servitude. 5 We did not yield to them in subjection, even for an hour, in order that the truth of the Gospel would remain with you, 6 and away from those who were pretending to be something. (Whatever they might have been once, it means nothing to me. God does not accept the reputation of a man.) And those who were claiming to be something had nothing to offer me. 7 But it was to the contrary, since they had seen that the Gospel to the uncircumcised was entrusted to me, just as the Gospel to the circumcised was entrusted to Peter. 8 For he who was working the Apostleship to the circumcised in Peter, was also working in me among the Gentiles. 9 And so, when they had acknowledged the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, who seemed like pillars, gave to me and to Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we would go to the Gentiles, while they went to the circumcised, 10 asking only that we should be mindful of the poor, which was the very thing that I also was solicitous to do. 11 But when Cephas had arrived at Antioch, I stood against him to his face, because he was blameworthy. 12 For before certain ones arrived from James, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they had arrived, he drew apart and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. 13 And the other Jews consented to his pretense, so that even Barnabas was led by them into that falseness. 14 But when I had seen that they were not walking correctly, by the truth of the Gospel, I said to Cephas in front of everyone: “If you, while you are a Jew, are living like the Gentiles and not the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to keep the customs of the Jews?” 15 By nature, we are Jews, and not of the Gentiles, sinners. 16 And we know that man is not justified by the works of the law, but only by the faith of Jesus Christ. And so we believe in Christ Jesus, in order that we may be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law. For no flesh will be justified by the works of the law. 17 But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves are also found to be sinners, would then Christ be the minister of sin? Let it not be so! 18 For if I rebuild the things that I have destroyed, I establish myself as a prevaricator. 19 For through the law, I have become dead to the law, so that I may live for God. I have been nailed to the cross with Christ. 20 I live; yet now, it is not I, but truly Christ, who lives in me. And though I live now in the flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and who delivered himself for me. 21 I do not 670 reject the grace of God. For if justice is through the law, then Christ died in vain.

Gal 2, 1-21

Verš 1
Next, after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, taking with me Barnabas and Titus.
Sk 15:2 - Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas made no small uprising against them, they decided that Paul and Barnabas, and some from the opposing side, should go up to the Apostles and priests in Jerusalem concerning this question.

Sk 16:3 - Paul wanted this man to travel with him, and taking him, he circumcised him, because of the Jews who were in those places. For they all knew that his father was a Gentile.
1Kor 9:21 - To those who are under the law, I became as if I were under the law, (though I was not under the law) so that I might gain those who were under the law. To those who were without the law, I became as if I were without the law, (though I was not without the law of God, being in the law of Christ) so that I might gain those who were without the law.

Verš 4
but only because of false brothers, who were brought in unknowingly. They entered secretly to spy on our liberty, which we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might reduce us to servitude.
Sk 15:24 - Since we have heard that some, going out from among us, have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, to whom we gave no commandment,

Verš 6
and away from those who were pretending to be something. (Whatever they might have been once, it means nothing to me. God does not accept the reputation of a man.) And those who were claiming to be something had nothing to offer me.
Dt 10:17 - For the Lord your God himself is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, a God great and powerful and terrible, who favors no person and accepts no bribe.
2Krn 19:7 - Let the fear of the Lord be with you, and do all things with diligence. For there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor desire for gifts.”
Jób 34:19 - He does not accept the reputation of leaders; nor does he recognize the tyrant as he contends against the poor. For all are the work of his hands.

1Pt 1:17 - And if you invoke as Father him who, without showing favoritism to persons, judges according to each one’s work, then act in fear during the time of your sojourning here.

Verš 8
For he who was working the Apostleship to the circumcised in Peter, was also working in me among the Gentiles.

Verš 10
asking only that we should be mindful of the poor, which was the very thing that I also was solicitous to do.

2Kor 9:1 - Now, concerning the ministry that is done toward the saints, it is not necessary for me to write to you.

Verš 14
But when I had seen that they were not walking correctly, by the truth of the Gospel, I said to Cephas in front of everyone: “If you, while you are a Jew, are living like the Gentiles and not the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to keep the customs of the Jews?”
Sk 10:28 - And he said to them: “You know how abominable it would be for a Jewish man to be joined with, or to be added to, a foreign people. But God has revealed to me to call no man common or unclean.

Verš 16
And we know that man is not justified by the works of the law, but only by the faith of Jesus Christ. And so we believe in Christ Jesus, in order that we may be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law. For no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.
Sk 13:38 - Therefore, let it be known to you, noble brothers, that through him is announced to you remission from sins and from everything by which you were not able to be justified in the law of Moses.
Rim 3:28 - For we judge a man to be justified by faith, without the works of the law.

Rim 3:20 - For in his presence no flesh shall be justified by the works of the law. For knowledge of sin is through the law.
Gal 3:11 - And, since in the law no one is justified with God, this is manifest: “For the just man lives by faith.”

Verš 19
For through the law, I have become dead to the law, so that I may live for God. I have been nailed to the cross with Christ.
Rim 7:4 - And so, my brothers, you also have become dead to the law, through the body of Christ, so that you may be another one who has risen from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.
Rim 14:7 - For none of us lives for himself, and none of us dies for himself.
2Kor 5:15 - And Christ died for all, so that even those who live might not now live for themselves, but for him who died for them and who rose again.
1Sol 5:10 - who died for us, so that, whether we watch, or whether we sleep, we may live in union with him.

1Pt 4:2 - so that now he may live, for the remainder of his time in the flesh, not by the desires of men, but by the will of God.

Verš 20

Verš 21
I do not 670 reject the grace of God. For if justice is through the law, then Christ died in vain.
Heb 7:11 - Therefore, if consummation had occurred through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), then what further need would there be for another Priest to rise up according to the order of Melchizedek, one who was not called according to the order of Aaron?

Gal 2,1-9 - Porov. Sk 15.

Rim 7, 4; 6, 6; 8, 3–4).
