Žalmy

1 (UKJV) IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO Your NAME, O MOST HIGH:
1 (ROH) Žalm. Pieseň na sobotný deň.

2 (UKJV) To show forth your loving kindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night,
2 (ROH) Dobre je oslavovať Hospodina a spievať tvojmu menu žalmy, ó, Najvyšší!

3 (UKJV) "Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. "
3 (ROH) Zvestovať za rána tvoju milosť a tvoju pravdu po nociach

4 (UKJV) For you, LORD, have made me glad through your work: I will triumph in the works of your hands.
4 (ROH) pri nástroji o desiatich strunách, pri harfe, pri ľúbezných zvukoch hudby na citaru.

5 (UKJV) O LORD, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep.
5 (ROH) Lebo si ma obveselil, Hospodine, svojím dielom; plesať budem pre skutky tvojich rúk.

6 (UKJV) "A brutish man knows not; neither does a fool understand this. "
6 (ROH) Aké veľké sú tvoje skutky, Hospodine! Preveľmi hlboké sú tvoje myšlienky.

7 (UKJV) "When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: "
7 (ROH) Hovädný človek toho nezná, a blázon tomu nerozumie.

8 (UKJV) But you, LORD, are most high for evermore.
8 (ROH) Keď aj rastú bezbožníci jako bylina, a kvitnú všetci činitelia neprávosti, je to nato, aby boli vyhladení na večné veky.

9 (UKJV) "For, lo, your enemies, O LORD, for, lo, your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. "
9 (ROH) Ale ty, Hospodine, si najvyšší na veky!

10 (UKJV) But my horn shall you exalt like the horn of an unicorn (p. ox): I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
10 (ROH) Lebo hľa, tvoji nepriatelia, Hospodine, lebo hľa, tvoji nepriatelia zahynú. Rozpŕchnu sa všetci činitelia neprávosti.

11 (UKJV) Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
11 (ROH) A vyzdvihneš môj roh ako roh jednorožca; budem poliaty čerstvým olejom.

12 (UKJV) The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
12 (ROH) A moje oko sa podíva na tých, ktorí ma strežú; moje uši počujú o zlostníkoch, ktorí povstávajú proti mne.

13 (UKJV) Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
13 (ROH) Spravedlivý bude kvitnúť ako palma, porastie do vysoka jako cedra na Libanone.

14 (UKJV) "They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; "
14 (ROH) Tí, ktorí sú zasadení v dome Hospodinovom, budú kvitnúť vo dvoroch nášho Boha.

15 (UKJV) To show that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
15 (ROH) Ešte aj v šedinách ponesú ovocie a budú svieži a zelení,

16 (ROH) aby zvestovali, že je Hospodin priamy, moja skala, a že niet pri ňom nijakej neprávosti.
