1 (HEM) לדוד משכיל אשרי נשוי פשע כסוי חטאה׃
1 (UKJV) Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2 (HEM) אשרי אדם לא יחשב יהוה לו עון ואין ברוחו רמיה׃
2 (UKJV) Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

3 (HEM) כי החרשתי בלו עצמי בשאגתי כל היום׃
3 (UKJV) When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

4 (HEM) כי יומם ולילה תכבד עלי ידך נהפך לשדי בחרבני קיץ סלה׃
4 (UKJV) For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

5 (HEM) חטאתי אודיעך ועוני לא כסיתי אמרתי אודה עלי פשעי ליהוה ואתה נשאת עון חטאתי סלה׃
5 (UKJV) "I acknowledge my sin unto you, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. "

6 (HEM) על זאת יתפלל כל חסיד אליך לעת מצא רק לשטף מים רבים אליו לא יגיעו׃
6 (UKJV) For this shall every one that is godly pray unto you in a time when you may be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

7 (HEM) אתה סתר לי מצר תצרני רני פלט תסובבני סלה׃
7 (UKJV) "You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. "

8 (HEM) אשכילך ואורך בדרך זו תלך איעצה עליך עיני׃
8 (UKJV) I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with mine eye.

9 (HEM) אל תהיו כסוס כפרד אין הבין במתג ורסן עדיו לבלום בל קרב אליך׃
9 (UKJV) Be all of you not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto you.

10 (HEM) רבים מכאובים לרשע והבוטח ביהוה חסד יסובבנו׃
10 (UKJV) Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

11 (HEM) שמחו ביהוה וגילו צדיקים והרנינו כל ישרי לב׃
11 (UKJV) Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, all of you righteous: and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart.
