1 (UKJV) Praise all of you the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
1 (LS) Louez l'Eternel! Chantez à l'Eternel un cantique nouveau! Chantez ses louanges dans l'assemblée des fidèles!
2 (UKJV) Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
2 (LS) Qu'Israël se réjouisse en celui qui l'a créé! Que les fils de Sion soient dans l'allégresse à cause de leur roi!
3 (UKJV) Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
3 (LS) Qu'ils louent son nom avec des danses, Qu'ils le célèbrent avec le tambourin et la harpe!
4 (UKJV) For the LORD takes pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
4 (LS) Car l'Eternel prend plaisir à son peuple, Il glorifie les malheureux en les sauvant.
5 (UKJV) Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
5 (LS) Que les fidèles triomphent dans la gloire, Qu'ils poussent des cris de joie sur leur couche!
6 (UKJV) "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; "
6 (LS) Que les louanges de Dieu soient dans leur bouche, Et le glaive à deux tranchants dans leur main,
7 (UKJV) "To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; "
7 (LS) Pour exercer la vengeance sur les nations, Pour châtier les peuples,
8 (UKJV) "To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; "
8 (LS) Pour lier leurs rois avec des chaînes Et leurs grands avec des ceps de fer,
9 (UKJV) To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise all of you the LORD.
9 (LS) Pour exécuter contre eux le jugement qui est écrit! C'est une gloire pour tous ses fidèles. Louez l'Eternel!

"To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; "
Mt 18:18 - Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever all of you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise all of you the LORD.
Dt 4:6 - "Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. "

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
Ž 100:3 - "Know all of you that the LORD he is God: it is he that has made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. "

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
Ž 81:2 - Take a psalm, and bring here the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

"Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; "
2Sol 2:8 - And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit (o. pneuma) of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Heb 4:12 - For the word (o. logos) of God is active, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, (o. pneuma) and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Zjv 1:16 - And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength.
Z 149,1 - Zhromaždenie svätých môže označovať všetkých Izraelitov napospol a môže byť pomenovaním nejakej náboženskej slávnosti, ktorá sa konala v chráme (Ž 148,14).
Z 149,3 - "Tanec" patril k bohoslužobným úkonom. Vo Svätom písme máme o tom neraz zmienku (Jer 31,4; pozri aj 2 Sam 6,14; Sdc 11,34; Ž 87,7 atď.).
Z 149,5 - Izraeliti sa majú radovať z víťazstva, majú sa tešiť v pokoji a istote -"nech sa veselia na svojich lôžkach" - veď bolo dosť utrpenia, dosť sĺz za dlhých nocí trpkej nevoľnosti (Ž 4,5; 6,6; porov. aj Ž 43,9; Iz 30,29; Oz 7,14 atď.).
Z 149,6 - Porov. Neh 4,10-11; pozri aj 2 Mach 15,27, kde sa cituje 6. verš tohto žalmu.
Z 149,8-9 - Izrael bude nástrojom Božej spravodlivosti, bude však aj nositeľom spásy pre všetky národy. A to mu bude na slávu.
