Gn 41, 1-57

1 (UKJV) And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

2 (UKJV) "And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured cattle and well fed; and they fed in a meadow. "

3 (UKJV) "And, behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and thin; and stood by the other cattle upon the brink of the river. "

4 (UKJV) And the ill favoured and thin cattle did eat up the seven well favoured and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.
4 (ROH) A tie na pohľad šeredné kravy chudé zožraly tých sedem kráv, pekných na pohľad a tučných. A v tom sa zobudil faraon.

5 (UKJV) And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.

6 (UKJV) And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
6 (ROH) A zase hľa, za nimi vyrastalo sedem klasov, tenkých a vysušených východným vetrom.

7 (UKJV) And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.
7 (ROH) A tie tenké klasy pohltily tých sedem klasov tučných a plných. A zase sa prebudil faraon. A hľa, bol to sen.

8 (UKJV) "And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh. "
A faraon im rozprával svoje sny. Ale nebolo toho, kto by ich vyložil faraonovi.

9 (UKJV) Then spoke the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:
9 (ROH) Vtedy hovoril náčelník čašníkov s faraonom a riekol: Rozpomínam sa dnes na svoje previnenia.

10 (UKJV) Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker:
10 (ROH) Faraon sa bol rozhneval na svojich služobníkov a bol ma dal pod stráž do domu náčelníka kráľovej stráže, mňa i náčelníka pekárov.

11 (UKJV) "And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. "
11 (ROH) A sníval sa nám sen jednej a tej istej noci, mne i jemu, obidvom sa nám snívalo podľa vlastného výkladu jeho i môjho sna.

12 (UKJV) "And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. "
12 (ROH) A bol tam s nami nejaký hebrejský mládenec, služobník náčelníka kráľovskej stráže, a keď sme mu porozprávali, čo sa nám snívalo, vyložil nám naše sny, obidvom vyložil podľa toho, jaký bol ktorého sen.

13 (UKJV) "And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged. "

14 (UKJV) Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
14 (ROH) Vtedy poslal faraon a zavolal Jozefa, a vyviedol ho behom z jamy. A keď sa oholil a zmenil svoje rúcho, prišiel k faraonovi.

15 (UKJV) And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it.

16 (UKJV) And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
16 (ROH) A Jozef odpovedal faraonovi a riekol: Nie je to moja vec; Bôh odpovie faraonovi to, čo mu bude na pokoj.

17 (UKJV) And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:
17 (ROH) A tedy hovoril faraon Jozefovi: Videl som vo svojom sne, že hľa stojím na brehu rieky.

18 (UKJV) "And, behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, well fed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow: "

19 (UKJV) And, behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
19 (ROH) A hľa, za nimi vychádzalo sedem iných kráv, biednych a veľmi šeredných čo do postavy, a chudobných. Nevidel som takých šeredných kráv nikde v zemi Egyptskej.

20 (UKJV) And the lean and the ill favoured cattle did eat up the first seven fat cattle:
20 (ROH) A tie chudé kravy šeredné zožraly tých prvých sedem kráv tučných.

21 (UKJV) "And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke. "

22 (UKJV) And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:
22 (ROH) A zase som videl vo svojom sne, že hľa, sedem klasov vyrastalo na jednom steble plných a krásnych.

23 (UKJV) And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
23 (ROH) A hľa, za nimi vyrastalo sedem scvrklých klasov tvrdých, tenkých a vysušených východným vetrom.

24 (UKJV) "And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me. "
24 (ROH) A tie tenké klasy pohltily tých sedem krásnych klasov. A povedal som to učencom, ale neni toho, kto by mi oznámil, čo to znamená.

25 (UKJV) And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God has showed Pharaoh what he is about to do.
25 (ROH) A Jozef riekol faraonovi: Sen faraonov znamená jedno a to isté. Bôh oznámil faraonovi to, čo bude činiť.

26 (UKJV) "The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one. "
26 (ROH) Sedem krásnych kráv je sedem rokov, a sedem krásnych klasov je tiež sedem rokov; je to jeden sen.

27 (UKJV) "And the seven thin and ill favoured cattle that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine. "
27 (ROH) A sedem chudých kráv šeredných, vychádzajúcich za nimi, je sedem rokov, a sedem klasov prázdnych, vysušených východným vetrom, bude sedem rokov hladu.

28 (UKJV) This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he shows unto Pharaoh.
28 (ROH) To je to, čo som hovoril faraonovi. Bôh to, čo bude činiť, ukázal faraonovi.

29 (UKJV) Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:
29 (ROH) Hľa, prijde sedem rokov veľkej hojnosti v celej Egyptskej zemi.

30 (UKJV) "And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land; "
30 (ROH) A po nich nastane sedem rokov hladu, a zabudne sa všetka tá hojnosť v Egyptskej zemi, a hlad zahubí zem.

31 (UKJV) "And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous. "

32 (UKJV) "And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. "

33 (UKJV) Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
33 (ROH) A tak teraz nech si vyhľadá faraon rozumného a múdreho muža a nech ho ustanoví nad Egyptom.

34 (UKJV) Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven abundant years.
34 (ROH) Nech to učiní faraon! A nech ustanoví úradníkov nad zemou a bude brať piaty diel úrody z Egyptskej zeme po sedem rokov hojnosti.

35 (UKJV) And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.
35 (ROH) A nech nashromaždia všelijakej potravy za tých sedem dobrých rokov, ktoré prijdú teraz, a nahromadia obilia pod ruku faraonovu, potravy po mestách, a strážiac zachovajú to.

36 (UKJV) "And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine. "
36 (ROH) A tie potraviny budú odložené zemi na sedem rokov hladu, ktoré budú v Egyptskej zemi, a nebude zem vyplienená hladom.

37 (UKJV) And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

38 (UKJV) And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
38 (ROH) V tedy povedal faraon svojim služobníkom: Či najdeme iného takého muža, v ktorom by bol Duch Boží?

39 (UKJV) And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God has showed you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are:
39 (ROH) A faraon povedal Jozefovi: Pretože dal Bôh tebe znať všetko toto, nieto iného tak rozumného a múdreho človeka, jako si ty.

40 (UKJV) You shall be over my house, and according unto your word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than you.
40 (ROH) Ty budeš nad mojím domom, a podľa toho, čo rieknu tvoje ústa, bude sa spravovať všetok môj ľud; len o kráľovský prestol budem väčší od teba.

41 (UKJV) And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.
41 (ROH) A ďalej povedal faraon Jozefovi: Hľaď, ustanovil som ťa nad celou zemou Egyptskou.

42 (UKJV) "And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; "
42 (ROH) A faraon sňal svoj pečatný prsteň so svojej ruky a dal ho na ruku Jozefovu, obliekol ho do kmentového rúcha a na jeho hrdlo dal zlatú reťaz.

43 (UKJV) "And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. "
43 (ROH) A dal ho voziť na svojom druhom voze, a volali pred ním: Klaňajte sa! A tak ho ustanovil nad celou zemou Egyptskou.

44 (UKJV) And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.
44 (ROH) A faraon povedal Jozefovi: Ja som faraon. Bez tvojho dovolenia nikto nepozdvihne ani svojej ruky ani svojej nohy v celej zemi Egyptskej.

45 (UKJV) "And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt. "
45 (ROH) A faraon nazval meno Jozefovo: Safenat-paneach , a dal mu Azenatu, dcéru Putifera, kňaza-kniežaťa z Óna, za ženu. A Jozef vyšiel na Egyptskú zem.

46 (UKJV) And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.
46 (ROH) A Jozefovi bolo tridsať rokov, keď sa postavil pred faraona, kráľa Egypta. A Jozef vyšiel zpred tvári faraonovej a pochodil po celej zemi Egyptskej.

47 (UKJV) And in the seven abundant years the earth brought forth by handfuls.
47 (ROH) A zem pracovala za sedem rokov hojnosti dávajúc plodiny plnými rukami.

48 (UKJV) And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

49 (UKJV) "And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number. "
49 (ROH) A tak nahromadil Jozef obilia ako morského piesku, veľmi mnoho, takže prestal i počítať, lebo mu nebolo počtu.

50 (UKJV) And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.
50 (ROH) A Jozefovi sa narodili dvaja synovia, prv ako prišiel rok hladu, ktorých mu porodila Azenata, dcéra Putiferova, kňaza-kniežaťa z Óna.

51 (UKJV) And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, has made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.
51 (ROH) A Jozef nazval meno prvorodeného Manasses ; lebo vraj Bôh mi dal zabudnúť na všetko moje trápenie i na celý dom môjho otca.

52 (UKJV) And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
52 (ROH) Meno druhého nazval Efraim ; lebo vraj Bôh mi dal, aby som sa rozplodil v zemi môjho trápenia.

53 (UKJV) And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.

54 (UKJV) "And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. "

55 (UKJV) "And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he says to you, do. "
55 (ROH) No, potom hladovala i celá zem Egyptská, a ľud kričal na faraona o chlieb. A faraon povedal všetkým Egypťanom: Iďte k Jozefovi, a to, čo vám povie, budete robiť.

56 (UKJV) "And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt. "
Vtedy otvoril Jozef všetko, čo bolo u nich, a predával Egypťanom obilie, a hlad sa vše viacej rozmáhal v Egyptskej zemi.

57 (UKJV) "And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph in order to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands. "
