(CPDV - Anglický - Catholic PD)

Mt 12, 1-50

1 (CPDV) At that time, Jesus went out through the ripe grain on the Sabbath. And his disciples, being hungry, began to separate the grain and to eat.
1 (KAT) V tom čase išiel Ježiš v sobotu cez obilné pole. Jeho učeníci boli hladní a začali trhať klasy a jesť.

2 (CPDV) Then the Pharisees, seeing this, said to him, “Behold, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbaths.”
2 (KAT) Keď to videli farizeji, povedali mu: „Pozri, tvoji učeníci robia, čo neslobodno robiť v sobotu.“

3 (CPDV) But he said to them: “Have you not read what David did, when he was hungry, and those who were with him:
3 (KAT) On im povedal: „Nečítali ste, čo urobil Dávid, keď bol hladný on i jeho družina?

4 (CPDV) how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
4 (KAT) Ako vošiel do Božieho domu a jedol obetované chleby, ktoré nesmel jesť ani on, ani tí, čo boli s ním, ale iba kňazi?

5 (CPDV) Or have you not read in the law, that on the Sabbaths the priests in the temple violate the Sabbath, and they are without guilt?

6 (CPDV) But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here.
6 (KAT) No hovorím vám: Tu je niekto väčší než chrám.

7 (CPDV) And if you knew what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would never have condemned the innocent.
7 (KAT) Keby ste vedeli, čo to znamená: »Milosrdenstvo chcem, a nie obetu,« neboli by ste odsúdili nevinných.

8 (CPDV) For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

9 (CPDV) And when he had passed from there, he went into their synagogues.
9 (KAT) Keď odtiaľ odišiel, vošiel do ich synagógy.

10 (CPDV) And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand, and they questioned him, so that they might accuse him, saying, “Is it lawful to cure on the Sabbaths?”
10 (KAT) Tam bol človek s vyschnutou rukou. Oni sa ho pýtali: „Slobodno v sobotu uzdraviť?“ Chceli ho totiž obžalovať.

11 (CPDV) But he said to them: “Who is there among you, having even one sheep, if it will have fallen into a pit on the Sabbath, would not take hold of it and lift it up?

12 (CPDV) How much better is a man than a sheep? And so, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbaths.”

13 (CPDV) Then he said to the man, “Extend your hand.” And he extended it, and it was restored to health, just like the other one.
13 (KAT) Potom povedal človeku: „Vystri ruku!“ On ju vystrel a bola zasa zdravá ako druhá.

14 (CPDV) Then the Pharisees, departing, took council against him, as to how they might destroy him.

15 (CPDV) But Jesus, knowing this, withdrew from there. And many followed him, and he cured them all.
15 (KAT) Ježiš to vedel, preto odtiaľ odišiel. Mnohí šli za ním a on ich všetkých uzdravil,

16 (CPDV) And he instructed them, lest they make him known.
16 (KAT) len im pohrozil, aby ho neprezradili.

17 (CPDV) Then what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah was fulfilled, saying:
17 (KAT) Tak sa splnilo, čo povedal prorok Izaiáš:

18 (CPDV) “Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased. I will place my Spirit over him, and he shall announce judgment to the nations.
18 (KAT) „Hľa, môj služobník, ktorého som si vyvolil, môj miláčik, v ktorom mám zaľúbenie. Vložím na neho svojho Ducha a oznámi právo národom.

19 (CPDV) He shall not contend, nor cry out, neither shall anyone hear his voice in the streets.

20 (CPDV) He shall not crush the bruised reed, and he shall not extinguish the smoking wick, until he sends forth judgment unto victory.
20 (KAT) Nalomenú trsť nedolomí, hasnúci knôtik nedohasí, kým neprivedie právo k víťazstvu.

21 (CPDV) And the Gentiles shall hope in his name.”
21 (KAT) V jeho meno budú dúfať národy.“

22 (CPDV) Then one who had a demon, who was blind and mute, was brought to him. And he cured him, so that he spoke and saw.
On ho uzdravil a nemý rozprával a videl.

23 (CPDV) And all the crowds were stupefied, and they said, “Could this be the son of David?”

24 (CPDV) But the Pharisees, hearing it, said, “This man does not cast out demons, except by Beelzebub, the prince of the demons.”
24 (KAT) Ale počuli to farizeji a hovorili: „Tento len mocou Belzebula, kniežaťa zlých duchov, vyháňa zlých duchov.“

25 (CPDV) But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself will become desolate. And every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
25 (KAT) Ale on poznal ich myšlienky a povedal im: „Každé kráľovstvo vnútorne rozdelené spustne a nijaké mesto ani dom vnútorne rozdelené neobstoja.

26 (CPDV) So if Satan casts out Satan, then he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

27 (CPDV) And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your own sons cast them out? Therefore, they shall be your judges.
27 (KAT) Ak ja vyháňam zlých duchov mocou Belzebula, čou mocou ich vyháňajú vaši synovia? Preto oni budú vašimi sudcami.

28 (CPDV) But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has arrived among you.
28 (KAT) Ale ak ja Božím Duchom vyháňam zlých duchov, potom k vám prišlo Božie kráľovstvo.

29 (CPDV) Or how can anyone enter into the house of a strong man, and plunder his belongings, unless he first restrains the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.
29 (KAT) Alebo ako môže niekto vniknúť do domu silného človeka a ulúpiť mu veci, kým toho silného nezviaže? Až potom mu vyplieni dom.

30 (CPDV) Whoever is not with me, is against me. And whoever does not gather with me, scatters.
30 (KAT) Kto nie je so mnou, je proti mne, a kto nezhromažďuje so mnou, rozhadzuje.

31 (CPDV) For this reason, I say to you: Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.

32 (CPDV) And anyone who will have spoken a word against the Son of man shall be forgiven. But whoever will have spoken against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven, neither in this age, nor in the future age.

33 (CPDV) Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree evil and its fruit evil. For certainly a tree is known by its fruit.

34 (CPDV) Progeny of vipers, how are you able to speak good things while you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
34 (KAT) Hadie plemeno, ako môžete hovoriť dobre, keď ste zlí? Veď z plnosti srdca hovoria ústa.

35 (CPDV) A good man offers good things from a good storehouse. And an evil man offers evil things from an evil storehouse.
35 (KAT) Dobrý človek vynáša z dobrého pokladu dobré veci a zlý človek vynáša zo zlého pokladu zlé.

36 (CPDV) But I say to you, that for every idle word which men will have spoken, they shall render an account in the day of judgment.

37 (CPDV) For by your words shall you be justified, and by your words shall you be condemned.”
37 (KAT) Lebo podľa svojich slov budeš ospravedlnený a podľa svojich slov budeš odsúdený.“

38 (CPDV) Then certain ones from the scribes and the Pharisees responded to him, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”
38 (KAT) Vtedy mu povedali niektorí zákonníci a farizeji: „Učiteľ, chceme vidieť nejaké znamenie od teba.“

39 (CPDV) And answering, he said to them: “An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign. But a sign will not be given to it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
39 (KAT) On im povedal: „Zlé a cudzoložné pokolenie žiada znamenie. Ale znamenie nedostane, iba ak znamenie proroka Jonáša.

40 (CPDV) For just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights, so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

41 (CPDV) The men of Nineveh shall arise in judgment with this generation, and they shall condemn it. For, at the preaching of Jonah, they repented. And behold, there is a greater than Jonah here.

42 (CPDV) The Queen of the South shall arise in judgment with this generation, and she shall condemn it. For she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. And behold, there is a greater than Solomon here.

43 (CPDV) Now when an unclean spirit departs from a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and he does not find it.

44 (CPDV) Then he says, ‘I will return to my house, from which I departed’. And arriving, he finds it vacant, swept clean, and decorated.
44 (KAT) Vtedy si povie: »Vrátim sa do svojho domu, odkiaľ som vyšiel.« Keď ta príde, nájde ho prázdny, vymetený a vyzdobený.

45 (CPDV) Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and live there. And in the end, the man becomes worse than he was at first. So, too, shall it be with this most wicked generation.”

46 (CPDV) While he was still speaking to the crowds, behold, his mother and his brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak with him.

47 (CPDV) And someone said to him: “Behold, your mother and your brothers are standing outside, seeking you.”
47 (KAT) Ktosi mu povedal: „Vonku stojí tvoja matka a tvoji bratia a chcú sa s tebou rozprávať.“

48 (CPDV) But responding to the one speaking to him, he said, “Which one is my mother, and who are my brothers?”

49 (CPDV) And extending his hand to his disciples, he said: “Behold: my mother and my brothers.
49 (KAT) Vystrel ruku nad svojich učeníkov a povedal: „Hľa, moja matka a moji bratia.

50 (CPDV) For anyone who does the will of my Father, who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

Gal 5:6 - For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision prevails over anything, but only faith which works through charity.
Gal 6:15 - For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision prevails in any way, but instead there is a new creature.
Kol 3:11 - where there is neither Gentile nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian nor Scythian, servant nor free. Instead, Christ is everything, in everyone.

Mt 12,1-8 - Mk 2, 23–28; Lk 6, 1–5.

Mt 12,2 - Farizeji nezazlievali, že apoštoli trhali klasy na cudzom poli, keďže to zákon chudobným dovoľoval (Dt 23, 25). No pohoršujú sa nad tým, že Ježišovi učeníci porušujú sobotný odpočinok.

Mt 12,4 - 1 Sam 21, 2–7.

Mt 12,5 - Nm 28, 9.

Mt 12,7 - Oz 6, 6.

Mt 12,9-14 - Mk 3, 1–6; Lk 6, 6–11.

Mt 12,18 - Iz 42, 1–4.

Mt 12,22-30 - Mk 3, 22–27; Lk 11, 14–15. 17–23.

Mt 12,23 - Podľa proroctiev Mesiáš mal pochádzať z Dávidovho rodu (porov. 1, 1).

Mt 12,31-32 - Mk 3, 28–29; Lk 12, 10.

13, 55). V Starom zákone je mnoho podobných miest (napr. Abrahám a jeho synovec Lot sa volajú bratmi – Gn 13, 8; 14, 12. 14. 16).

Mt 12,50 - Ježiš dáva prednosť duchovnému pokrvenstvu pred telesným (porov. Lk 11, 28). Aj v tomto duchovnom pokrvenstve zaujíma Mária, Ježišova matka, prvé miesto, lebo vo všetkom plnila Božiu vôľu.
