1 (VUL) Filii quoque Ruben primogeniti Israel: ipse quippe fuit primoge nitus eius, sed, cum violasset torum patris sui, data sunt primogenita eius filiis Ioseph filii Israel, ut non computaretur in primogenitum,
1 (KJV) Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
1 (ROH) A synovia Rúbena, prvorodeného Izraelovho, lebo on bol prvorodeným. Ale keď poškvrnil ložu svojho otca, jeho prvorodenstvo bolo dané synom Jozefa, syna Izraelovho, a prvenstvo rodu nemalo sa počítať podľa prvorodenstva.

2 (VUL) quia Iuda erat quidem fortissimus inter fratres suos et de stirpe eius principes germinati sunt, primogenita autem reputata sunt Ioseph.
2 (KJV) For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)
2 (ROH) A pretože Júda bol najmocnejší medzi svojimi bratmi, za vojvodu bol vzatý z neho; ale prvorodenstvo sa dostalo Jozefovi.

3 (VUL) Filii ergo Ruben primogeniti Israel: Henoch et Phallu, Hesron et Charmi.
3 (KJV) The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hannoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
3 (ROH) Synovia Rúbena, prvorodeného Izraelovho: Enoch, Pallu, Ezron a Karmi.

4 (VUL) Filii Ioel: Semeia filius eius, Gog filius eius, Semei filius eius,
4 (KJV) The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
4 (ROH) Synovia Joelovi: Šemaiáš, jeho syn; Góg, jeho syn; Šimei, jeho syn;

5 (VUL) Micha filius eius, Reaia filius eius, Baal filius eius,
5 (KJV) Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
5 (ROH) Mícha, jeho syn; Reaiáš, jeho syn; Bál, jeho syn;

6 (VUL) Beera filius eius, quem captivum duxit Theglathphalasar rex Assyriorum, et fuit princeps in tribu Ruben.
6 (KJV) Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
6 (ROH) Béra, jeho syn, ktorého zaviedol Tilgat-pilnezer, assýrsky kráľ do zajatia. Ten bol kniežaťom Rúbenovcov.

7 (VUL) Fratres autem eius in cognationibus eius, quando numerabantur in genealogiis suis, erant: caput Iehiel, deinde Zacharias;
7 (KJV) And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
7 (ROH) A jeho bratia, každý podľa svojich čeľadí, keď boli popísaní po svojich rodoch: hlavou bol Jehiel a Zachariáš.

8 (VUL) porro Bela filius Azaz filii Samma filii Ioel, ipse habitavit in Aroer usque ad Nabo et Baalmeon.
8 (KJV) And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal-meon:
8 (ROH) A Bela, syn Azaza, syna Šemu, syna Joelovho. Ten býval v Aroere až po Nébo a po Bálmeon.

9 (VUL) Contra orientalem quoque plagam habitavit usque ad introitum eremi, quae est inde a flumine Euphrate; multum quippe gregum eorum numerus creverat in terra Galaad.
9 (KJV) And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
9 (ROH) A na východ býval až potiaľ, ako sa ide na púšť od rieky Eufrata, lebo ich stáda sa boly rozmnožily v zemi Gileáda.

10 (VUL) In diebus autem Saul proeliati sunt contra Agarenos et interfecerunt illos; habitaveruntque pro eis in tabernaculis eorum in omni plaga, quae respicit ad orientem Galaad.
10 (KJV) And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
10 (ROH) A vo dňoch Saulových robili vojnu s Hagaranmi, ktorí padli do ich ruky, a tak bývali v ich stánoch na celej tvári zeme východne od Gileáda.

11 (VUL) Filii vero Gad e regione eorum habitaverunt in terra Basan usque Salcha:
11 (KJV) And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:
11 (ROH) A synovia Gádovi bývali naproti nim v zemi Bázana až po Salchu.

12 (VUL) Ioel in capite et Sapham secundus, porro Ianai et Saphat in Basan;
12 (KJV) Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
12 (ROH) Joel bol hlavou a Šafan bol druhý, a Jaanai a Šafat v Bázane.

13 (VUL) fratres vero eorum secundum familias suas: Michael et Mosollam et Seba et Iorai et Iachan et Zie et Heber, septem.
13 (KJV) And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
13 (ROH) A ich bratia podľa domu svojich otcov: Michael, Mešullam, Šeba, Jorai, Jaakán, Zia a Héber, siedmi.

14 (VUL) Hi filii Abihail filii Huri filii Iaroe filii Galaad filii Michael filii Iesesi filii Ieddo filii Buz.
14 (KJV) These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
14 (ROH) Toto boli synovia Abichailovi, syna Chúriho, syna Jaroacha, syna Gileáda, syna Michaela, syna Ješíšaiho, syna Jachda, syna Búzovho;

15 (VUL) Ahi filius Abdiel filii Guni princeps familiarum eorum.
15 (KJV) Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
15 (ROH) Achi, syn Abdielov, syna Gúniho, hlava domu ich otcov.

16 (VUL) Et habitaverunt in Galaad et in Basan et in viculis eius et in cunctis suburbanis Saron usque ad terminos.
16 (KJV) And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
16 (ROH) A bývali v Gileáde, v Bázane a v jeho mestách a vo všetkých predmestiach Sárona, na ich výbežkoch.

17 (VUL) Omnes hi numerati sunt in diebus Ioatham regis Iudae et in diebus Ieroboam regis Israel.
17 (KJV) All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
17 (ROH) Tí všetci boli popísaní po svojich rodoch vo dňoch Jotáma, judského kráľa, a vo dňoch Jeroboáma, izraelského kráľa.

18 (VUL) Filii Ruben et Gad et dimidiae tribus Manasse viri bellatores scuta portantes et gladios et tendentes arcum eruditique ad proelia, quadraginta quattuor milia et septingenti sexaginta procedentes ad pugnam;
18 (KJV) The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
18 (ROH) Synov Rúbenových a Gádovcov a polovica pokolenia Manassesovho, silných mužov, mužov, ktorí nosili štít a meč a naťahovali lučište a boli vycvičení v boji, bolo štyridsaťštyri tisíc a sedemsto šesťdesiat, ktorí vychádzali von do boja.

19 (VUL) dimicaverunt contra Agarenos et Ituraeos et Naphisaeos et Nodabaeos.
19 (KJV) And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
19 (ROH) A robili vojnu s Hagaranmi, i s Jetúrom, Nafíšom a s Nodábom.

20 (VUL) Et datum est eis auxilium, traditique sunt in manus eorum Agareni et universi, qui fuerant cum eis, quia Deum invocaverunt cum proeliarentur, et exaudivit eos, eo quod credidissent in eum.
20 (KJV) And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
20 (ROH) A bolo im pomožené proti nim, a Hagarania bolo daní do ich ruky jako i všetci, ktorí boli s nimi, lebo volali k Bohu v boji, a dal sa im uprosiť, lebo sa nadejali na neho.

21 (VUL) Ceperuntque omnia, quae possederant, camelorum quinquaginta milia et ovium ducenta quinquaginta milia, asinos duo milia et animas hominum centum milia;
21 (KJV) And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
21 (ROH) A zajali ich stáda, ich veľblúdov, päťdesiat tisíc a oviec dvesto päťdesiat tisíc, oslov dva tisíce a ľudských duší sto tisíc.

22 (VUL) vulnerati autem multi corruerunt; fuit enim bellum Domini. Habitaveruntque pro eis usque ad transmigrationem.
22 (KJV) For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
22 (ROH) Lebo pobitých padlo mnoho, pretože vojna bola od Boha. A tak bývali miesto nich až do prestehovania.

23 (VUL) Filii quoque dimidiae tribus Manasse possederunt terram a Basan usque Baalhermon et Sanir et montem Hermon; ingens quippe numerus erat.
23 (KJV) And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal-hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
23 (ROH) A synovia polovice pokolenia Manassesovho bývali v zemi od Bázana až po Bálhermon a po Senír a po vrch Hermon; tých bolo mnoho.

24 (VUL) Et hi fuerunt principes familiarum eorum: Epher et Iesi et Eliel et Azriel et Ieremia et Odovia et Iediel; viri bellatores fortissimi et nominati, duces in familiis suis.
24 (KJV) And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
24 (ROH) Toto boly hlavy domu ich otcov, a to: Éfer, Jiši, Eliel, Azriel, Jirmiáš, Hodaviáš a Jachdiel, chrabrí mužovia silní, slovutní mužovia, hlavy domu svojich otcov.

25 (VUL) Reliquerunt autem Deum patrum suorum et fornicati sunt post deos populorum terrae, quos abstulit Deus coram eis.
25 (KJV) And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
25 (ROH) Ale keď sa prehrešili proti Bohu svojich otcov a smilnili idúc za bohmi národov tej zeme, ktoré zahladil Bôh zpred ich tvári,

26 (VUL) Et suscitavit Deus Israel spiritum Phul regis Assyriorum et spiritum Theglathphalasar regis Assur; et transtulit Ruben et Gad et dimidium tribus Manasse et adduxit eos in Hala et Habor et Ara et fluvium Gozan usque ad diem hanc.
26 (KJV) And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
26 (ROH) vzbudil Bôh Izraelov ducha Púla, assýrskeho kráľa, a ducha Tilgat-pilnezera, assýrskeho kráľa, a prestehoval ich odvedúc do zajatia, Rúbenovcov, Gádovcov a polovicu pokolenia Manassesovho a doviedol ich do Chelachu do Chábora a do Háry a k rieke Gózanu, kde sú až do tohoto dňa.
