1 (KAT) Potom sa Jakub vydal na cestu a šiel do krajiny synov Východu.
1 (UKJV) Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.
1 (LS) Jacob se mit en marche, et s'en alla au pays des fils de l'Orient.

2 (KAT) I zadíval sa (raz) a hľa, na poli studňa a pri nej ležali tri kŕdle oviec, lebo z tejto studne napájavali stáda. Lenže kameň na otvore studne bol veľký
2 (UKJV) "And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth. "
2 (LS) Il regarda. Et voici, il y avait un puits dans les champs; et voici, il y avait à côté trois troupeaux de brebis qui se reposaient, car c'était à ce puits qu'on abreuvait les troupeaux. Et la pierre sur l'ouverture du puits était grande.

3 (KAT) a len keď ta zohnali všetky stáda, odvaľovali kameň z otvoru studne a tak napájali ovce. Potom dávali kameň opäť na svoje miesto na otvor studne.
3 (UKJV) And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's mouth in his place.
3 (LS) Tous les troupeaux se rassemblaient là; on roulait la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, on abreuvait les troupeaux, et l'on remettait la pierre à sa place sur l'ouverture du puits.

4 (KAT) Jakub sa ich opýtal: „Bratia moji, odkiaľ ste?“ Oni odvetili: „My sme z Haranu.“
4 (UKJV) And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be all of you? And they said, Of Haran are we.
4 (LS) Jacob dit aux bergers: Mes frères, d'où êtes-vous? Ils répondirent: Nous sommes de Charan.

5 (KAT) Nato im povedal: „Poznáte Nachorovho syna Labana?“ Oni odpovedali: „Poznáme.“
5 (UKJV) And he said unto them, Know all of you Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.
5 (LS) Il leur dit: Connaissez-vous Laban, fils de Nachor? Ils répondirent: Nous le connaissons.

6 (KAT) A keď sa ich pýtal: „Vodí sa mu dobre?“, oni odvetili: „Dobre. Hľa, práve prichádza jeho dcéra Ráchel s ovcami.“
6 (UKJV) And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter comes with the sheep.
6 (LS) Il leur dit: Est-il en bonne santé? Ils répondirent: Il est en bonne santé; et voici Rachel, sa fille, qui vient avec le troupeau.

7 (KAT) On im povedal: „Veď je ešte deň dosť dlhý a ešte nie je čas zohnať dobytok dovedna. Napojte ovce a nechajte sa im ešte popásť!“
7 (UKJV) And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water all of you the sheep, and go and feed them.
7 (LS) Il dit: Voici, il est encore grand jour, et il n'est pas temps de rassembler les troupeaux; abreuvez les brebis, puis allez, et faites-les paître.

8 (KAT) Oni však povedali: „To nemôžeme, kým nebudú zohnaté dovedna všetky stáda. Až potom sa odvaľuje kameň z otvoru studne a napájame stáda.“
8 (UKJV) "And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well's mouth; then we water the sheep. "
8 (LS) Ils répondirent: Nous ne le pouvons pas, jusqu'à ce que tous les troupeaux soient rassemblés; c'est alors qu'on roule la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, et qu'on abreuve les brebis.

9 (KAT) Kým on s nimi rozprával, došla Ráchel s ovcami svojho otca. Ona ich totiž pásla.
9 (UKJV) "And while he yet spoke with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep; for she kept them. "
9 (LS) Comme il leur parlait encore, survint Rachel avec le troupeau de son père; car elle était bergère.

10 (KAT) Keď Jakub videl Ráchel, dcéru brata svojej matky Labana, a ovce brata svojej matky Labana, pristúpil a odvalil kameň z otvoru studne a napojil ovce matkinho brata Labana.
10 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother.
10 (LS) Lorsque Jacob vit Rachel, fille de Laban, frère de sa mère, et le troupeau de Laban, frère de sa mère, il s'approcha, roula la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, et abreuva le troupeau de Laban, frère de sa mère.

11 (KAT) Potom Jakub pobozkal Ráchel a začal hlasno plakať.
11 (UKJV) And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
11 (LS) Et Jacob baisa Rachel, il éleva la voix et pleura.

12 (KAT) A Jakub rozprával Ráchel, že je príbuzným jej otca a že je Rebekiným synom. Tu ona utekala a oznámila to svojmu otcovi.
12 (UKJV) And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father's brother, and that he was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told her father.
12 (LS) Jacob apprit à Rachel qu'il était parent de son père, qu'il était fils de Rebecca. Et elle courut l'annoncer à son père.

13 (KAT) Keď Laban počul zvesť o Jakubovi, synovi svojej sestry, ponáhľal sa mu naproti, pobozkal ho a voviedol ho do svojho domu. A on vyrozprával Labanovi všetko, čo sa prihodilo.
13 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.
13 (LS) Dès que Laban eut entendu parler de Jacob, fils de sa soeur, il courut au-devant de lui, il l'embrassa et le baisa, et il le fit venir dans sa maison. Jacob raconta à Laban toutes ces choses.

14 (KAT) Tu mu povedal Laban: „Ty si naozaj moja kosť a moje mäso!“ A ostal uňho na mesiac.
14 (UKJV) And Laban said to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.
14 (LS) Et Laban lui dit: Certainement, tu es mon os et ma chair. Jacob demeura un mois chez Laban.

15 (KAT) Potom Laban hovoril Jakubovi: „Ty si môj príbuzný. Vari mi budeš zadarmo slúžiť? Povedz mi, aká má byť tvoja odmena?“
15 (UKJV) And Laban said unto Jacob, Because you are my brother, should you therefore serve me for nothing? tell me, what shall your wages be?
15 (LS) Puis Laban dit à Jacob: Parce que tu es mon parent, me serviras-tu pour rien? Dis-moi quel sera ton salaire.

16 (KAT) Laban mal dve dcéry: staršia sa volala Lia a mladšia Ráchel.
16 (UKJV) And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
16 (LS) Or, Laban avait deux filles: l'aînée s'appelait Léa, et la cadette Rachel.

17 (KAT) Lia mala oči bez lesku, Ráchel však bola krásna i postavou i tvárou.
17 (UKJV) "Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured. "
17 (LS) Léa avait les yeux délicats; mais Rachel était belle de taille et belle de figure.

18 (KAT) Jakub sa zamiloval do Ráchel a povedal: „Za tvoju mladšiu dcéru ti budem slúžiť sedem rokov.“
18 (UKJV) "And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter. "
18 (LS) Jacob aimait Rachel, et il dit: Je te servirai sept ans pour Rachel, ta fille cadette.

19 (KAT) Laban odvetil: „Radšej ju dám tebe ako cudziemu mužovi. Ostaň pri mne!“
19 (UKJV) And Laban said, It is better that I give her to you, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me.
19 (LS) Et Laban dit: J'aime mieux te la donner que de la donner à un autre homme. Reste chez moi!

20 (KAT) Tak Jakub slúžil za Ráchel sedem rokov a videlo sa mu to len niekoľko dní. Tak ju mal rád.
20 (UKJV) "And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her. "
20 (LS) Ainsi Jacob servit sept années pour Rachel: et elles furent à ses yeux comme quelques jours, parce qu'il l'aimait.

21 (KAT) Potom povedal Jakub Labanovi: „Daj mi teraz moju ženu, lebo môj čas je už tu. Nech k nej vojdem.“
21 (UKJV) And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.
21 (LS) Ensuite Jacob dit à Laban: Donne-moi ma femme, car mon temps est accompli: et j'irai vers elle.

22 (KAT) Vtedy Laban pozval všetkých ľudí z miesta a pripravil hostinu.
22 (UKJV) And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
22 (LS) Laban réunit tous les gens du lieu, et fit un festin.

23 (KAT) Večer však zobral svoju dcéru Liu a voviedol ju k Jakubovi a on s ňou obcoval.
23 (UKJV) "And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her. "
23 (LS) Le soir, il prit Léa, sa fille, et l'amena vers Jacob, qui s'approcha d'elle.

24 (KAT) Laban dal svoju slúžku Zelfu svojej dcére Lii za slúžku.
24 (UKJV) And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.
24 (LS) Et Laban donna pour servante à Léa, sa fille, Zilpa, sa servante.

25 (KAT) Ale ráno videl, že to bola Lia, a povedal Labanovi: „Prečo si mi to urobil?! Neslúžil som ti za Ráchel?! Prečo si ma podviedol?“
25 (UKJV) And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this you have done unto me? did not I serve with you for Rachel? wherefore then have you misled me?
25 (LS) Le lendemain matin, voilà que c'était Léa. Alors Jacob dit à Laban: Qu'est-ce que tu m'as fait? N'est-ce pas pour Rachel que j'ai servi chez toi? Pourquoi m'as-tu trompé?

26 (KAT) Laban mu odpovedal: „V našom kraji sa nerobí tak, aby sa mladšia vydala pred staršou.
26 (UKJV) And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
26 (LS) Laban dit: Ce n'est point la coutume dans ce lieu de donner la cadette avant l'aînée.

27 (KAT) Dokonči tento (svadobný) týždeň a potom ti dám aj tú za službu, ktorú mi budeš robiť ešte ďalších sedem rokov.“
27 (UKJV) Fulfill her week, and we will give you this also for the service which you shall serve with me yet seven other years.
27 (LS) Achève la semaine avec celle-ci, et nous te donnerons aussi l'autre pour le service que tu feras encore chez moi pendant sept nouvelles années.

28 (KAT) A Jakub to urobil, dokončil (svadobný) týždeň a on mu dal svoju dcéru Ráchel za ženu.
28 (UKJV) And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
28 (LS) Jacob fit ainsi, et il acheva la semaine avec Léa; puis Laban lui donna pour femme Rachel, sa fille.

29 (KAT) Laban dal svoju slúžku Balu svojej dcére Ráchel za slúžku.
29 (UKJV) And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.
29 (LS) Et Laban donna pour servante à Rachel, sa fille, Bilha, sa servante.

30 (KAT) A on obcoval aj s Ráchel, lebo Ráchel mal radšej ako Liu, a slúžil uňho ešte ďalších sedem rokov.
30 (UKJV) And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.
30 (LS) Jacob alla aussi vers Rachel, qu'il aimait plus que Léa; et il servit encore chez Laban pendant sept nouvelles années.

31 (KAT) Keď však Pán videl, že Lia je odstrčená, otvoril jej život, kým Ráchel bola neplodná.
31 (UKJV) And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.
31 (LS) L'Eternel vit que Léa n'était pas aimée; et il la rendit féconde, tandis que Rachel était stérile.

32 (KAT) Lia počala a porodila syna a nazvala ho Rubenom, vraviac: „Pán zhliadol na moje poníženie, teraz ma môj muž bude už ľúbiť.“
32 (UKJV) "And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD has looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me. "
32 (LS) Léa devint enceinte, et enfanta un fils, à qui elle donna le nom de Ruben; car elle dit: L'Eternel a vu mon humiliation, et maintenant mon mari m'aimera.

33 (KAT) A opäť počala a porodila syna a povedala: „Pán počul, že som odstrčená, a tak mi dal aj tohto.“ A nazvala ho Simeonom.
33 (UKJV) "And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD has heard I was hated, he has therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon. "
33 (LS) Elle devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un fils, et elle dit: L'Eternel a entendu que je n'étais pas aimée, et il m'a aussi accordé celui-ci. Et elle lui donna le nom de Siméon.

34 (KAT) Opäť počala a porodila syna a hovorila: „Teraz už môj muž prilipne ku mne, keď som mu porodila troch synov.“ Preto ho nazvala Lévi.
34 (UKJV) "And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi. "
34 (LS) Elle devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un fils, et elle dit: Pour cette fois, mon mari s'attachera à moi; car je lui ai enfanté trois fils. C'est pourquoi on lui donna le nom de Lévi.

35 (KAT) A počala ešte raz a porodila syna a povedala: „Teraz velebím Pána!“ Preto ho nazvala Júda. Potom prestala rodiť.
35 (UKJV) "And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing. "
35 (LS) Elle devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un fils, et elle dit: Cette fois, je louerai l'Eternel. C'est pourquoi elle lui donna le nom de Juda. Et elle cessa d'enfanter.
