Ez 21, 1-37

1 (UKJV) And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
1 (KAT) Pán prehovoril ku mne takto:
1 (RIV) (H21-6) E la parola dell’Eterno mi fu rivolta in questi termini:

2 (UKJV) Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and drop your word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
2 (KAT) „Syn človeka, obráť si tvár smerom na juh a káž proti juhu, prorokuj proti lesu južného poľa
2 (RIV) (H21-7) "Figliuol d’uomo, vòlta la faccia verso Gerusalemme, e rivolgi la parola ai luoghi santi, e profetizza contro il paese d’Israele;

3 (UKJV) "And say to the land of Israel, Thus says the LORD; Behold, I am against you, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked. "

4 (UKJV) Seeing then that I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
4 (KAT) Vtedy uvidí každé telo, že ja, Pán, som ho zapálil, i nevyhasne.“
4 (RIV) (H21-9) Appunto perché voglio sterminare in mezzo a te giusti e malvagi, la mia spada uscirà dal suo fodero per colpire ogni carne dal mezzogiorno al settentrione;

5 (UKJV) That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.

6 (UKJV) "Sigh therefore, you son of man, with the breaking of your loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes. "
6 (KAT) Pán prehovoril ku mne takto:
6 (RIV) (H21-11) E tu, figliuol d’uomo, gemi!

7 (UKJV) "And it shall be, when they say unto you, Wherefore sigh you? that you shall answer, For the tidings; because it comes: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it comes, and shall be brought to pass, says the Lord GOD. "

8 (UKJV) Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
8 (KAT) Povedz krajine Izraela: Toto hovorí Pán: Pozri, som proti tebe, vytiahnem z pošvy svoj meč a vyhubím z teba spravodlivých i hriešnych.
8 (RIV) (H21-13) E la parola dell’Eterno mi fu rivolta in questi termini:

9 (UKJV) "Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: "

10 (UKJV) "It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make delight? it despises the rod of my son, as every tree. "

11 (UKJV) And he has given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.

12 (UKJV) Cry and wail, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: strike therefore upon your thigh.
12 (KAT) A ak sa ťa spýtajú: Prečo ty vzdycháš?

13 (UKJV) Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, says the Lord GOD.
13 (KAT) Potom prehovoril Pán ku mne takto:

14 (UKJV) You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike your hands together. and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which enters into their privy chambers.
14 (KAT) „Syn človeka, prorokuj a povedz: Toto hovorí Pán: Meč, meč, ostrý a brúsený!

15 (UKJV) I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.
15 (KAT) Naostrený je, by žertvy zabíjal, nabrúsený je, by blýskal bleskami.

16 (UKJV) Go you one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, anywhere your face is set.
16 (KAT) Dal som ho vybrúsiť, nech ho chytia do päste, je to ostrený meč a je brúsený, aby ho dali do rúk vrahovi.
16 (RIV) (H21-21) Spada! raccogliti! volgiti a destra, attenta! Volgiti a sinistra, dovunque è diretto il tuo filo!

17 (UKJV) I will also strike mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.

18 (UKJV) The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
18 (KAT) Áno, je to skúška; a čo, keď už ani opovrhnutého žezla nebude? - hovorí Pán, Jahve.
18 (RIV) (H21-23) E la parola dell’Eterno mi fu rivolta in questi termini:

19 (UKJV) Also, you son of man, appoint you two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both two shall come forth out of one land: and choose you a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.

20 (UKJV) Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.

21 (UKJV) For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.

22 (UKJV) At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort.
22 (KAT) Ja tiež budem tlieskať ruku o ruku a utíšim svoj hnev; ja, Pán, som to riekol.“

23 (UKJV) And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.
23 (KAT) Potom Pán prehovoril ku mne takto:

24 (UKJV) "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because all of you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that all of you are come to remembrance, all of you shall be taken with the hand. "

25 (UKJV) And you, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day has come, when iniquity shall have an end,
25 (KAT) Urob cestu, aby meč prišiel do Raby Amonových synov a do Júdska, do opevneného Jeruzalema.
25 (RIV) (H21-30) E tu, o empio, dannato alla spada, o principe d’Israele, il cui giorno è giunto al tempo del colmo dell’iniquità;

26 (UKJV) "Thus says the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and bring low him that is high. "
26 (KAT) Lebo babylonský kráľ stojí na rázcestí, na križovatke oboch ciest, chce dostať veštby: natriasa šípy, vypytuje sa bôžikov, pozerá pečeň.
26 (RIV) (H21-31) così parla il Signore, l’Eterno: La tiara sarà tolta, il diadema sarà levato; tutto sarà mutato; ciò che in basso sarà innalzato; ciò ch’è in alto sarà abbassato.

27 (UKJV) "I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he comes whose right it is; and I will give it him. "
27 (KAT) V pravici má žreb: »Jeruzalem;« chce postaviť barany, otvoriť ústa na krik, povýšiť hlas na volanie, postaviť barany proti bránam, nakopiť násyp, postaviť val.
27 (RIV) (H21-32) Ruina! ruina! ruina!

28 (UKJV) "And you, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say you, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering: "

29 (UKJV) While they see vanity unto you, while they divine a lie unto you, to bring you upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day has come, when their iniquity shall have an end.

30 (UKJV) Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge you in the place where you were created, in the land of your nativity.
30 (KAT) Ty však, rúhač, zločinec, knieža Izraela, ktorého deň prichádza v čase, keď bude koniec hriechu,
30 (RIV) (H21-35) Riponi la spada nel suo fodero! Io ti giudicherò nel luogo stesso dove fosti creata, nel paese della tua origine;

31 (UKJV) And I will pour out mine indignation upon you, I will blow against you in the fire of my wrath, and deliver you into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.
31 (KAT) toto hovorí Pán, Jahve: Odstráň tiaru, odlož korunu! To už nie je to.

32 (UKJV) "You shall be for fuel to the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land; you shall be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it. "
32 (KAT) Trosky, trosky, trosky z neho urobím. A nebude ho, kým nepríde ten, ktorému patrí právo, jemu (ho) dám.

33 ----
33 (KAT) A ty, syn človeka, prorokuj a povedz: Toto hovorí Pán, Jahve, proti Amonovým synom a proti ich nadutosti. Povedz: Meč, meč vytasený zabíjať, vybrúsený ničiť, blyští sa!
33 ----

34 ----
34 (KAT) Videli ti márnosť, veštili ti klam, aby ho dali na krk zločinným rúhačom, ktorým prišiel deň v čase, keď bude koniec zločinu.
34 ----

35 ----
35 (KAT) Späť do pošvy! V mieste, kde ťa stvorili, v mieste, kde máš pôvod, budem ťa súdiť.
35 ----

36 ----
36 (KAT) Vylejem na teba svoj hnev, vo svojom prudkom ohni dýchnem na teba, potom ťa dám do rúk zbesilých ľudí, ktorí kujú záhubu.
36 ----

37 ----
37 (KAT) Ohňu budeš pokrmom, tvoja krv potečie po zemi, nebudú na teba spomínať, lebo ja, Pán, som to povedal.“
37 ----

Ez 21, 1-37

Verš 15
I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.
Ez 21:28 - "And you, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say you, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering: "

Verš 12
Cry and wail, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: strike therefore upon your thigh.
Ez 7:27 - "The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD. "
Ez 6:11 - "Thus says the Lord GOD; Strike with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence. "

Verš 13
Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, says the Lord GOD.
Iz 1:5 - Why should all of you be stricken any more? all of you will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
Jer 6:28 - "They are all grievous apostates, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters. "

Verš 22
At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort.
Ez 4:2 - "And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about. "
Ez 17:17 - Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:

Verš 7
"And it shall be, when they say unto you, Wherefore sigh you? that you shall answer, For the tidings; because it comes: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it comes, and shall be brought to pass, says the Lord GOD. "
Jer 49:23 - "Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet. "
Jer 6:24 - We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish has taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
Ez 7:17 - All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.
Ez 4:17 - That they may lack bread and water, and be astonished one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.
Ez 7:17 - All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.

Ez 21,1-5 - Tieto verše sú vo Vulg ešte 20,45–49. V číslovaní veršov je teda v hl. 21 rozdiel medzi hebrejskou osnovou a Vulg; 21,6–37 hebr. = 21,1–32 Vulg.

Ez 21,3-5 - Lesný požiar zvýrazňuje spustošenie Júdska a Jeruzalema; porov. Iz 9,17; 10,17 n. Jer 21,14.

Veštili mu až trojakým spôsobom: do osudia dali najprv dva šípy, jeden s menom Jeruzalema, druhý s menom Raby. Osudie so šípmi potriasli a jeden z nich vytiahli. Vytiahli šíp s menom Jeruzalema (verš 27). Potom sa vypytujú domácich bôžikov, zvaných teráfim, ktorých menšie sošky nosievali so sebou.

Nech sa utiahnu do svojich miest; no ani tam nebudú v bezpečí, i tam ich dostihne Boží súd.
