Sk 18,1 - Korint bol hlavným mestom provincie Achájsko a dôležitý prístav.

Sk 18,2 - Cisár Klaudius to urobil roku 49 alebo 50. Túto udalosť spomína aj historik Suetonius. Pontus je severná maloázijská krajina na brehu Čierneho mora.

Sk 18,22 - "Vystúpil, pozdravil cirkev", pravdepodobne cirkev v Jeruzaleme.

Sk 18,23 - Tu sa začína tretia Pavlova misijná cesta (roky 53–58). Jej hlavným cieľom a strediskom bolo mesto Efez, odkiaľ zašiel cez Macedónsko do Korinta a tým istým smerom späť do Jeruzalema.
