1 (HEM) ויהי כאשר זקן שמואל וישם את בניו שפטים לישראל׃
1 (KAT) Keď Samuel ostarel, ustanovil za sudcov Izraela svojich synov.
1 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.

2 (HEM) ויהי שם בנו הבכור יואל ושם משנהו אביה שפטים בבאר שבע׃
2 (KAT) Jeho prvorodený sa volal Joel, druhý mal meno Abia; boli sudcami v Bersabe.
2 (UKJV) "Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beersheba. "

3 (HEM) ולא הלכו בניו בדרכו ויטו אחרי הבצע ויקחו שחד ויטו משפט׃
3 (KAT) Jeho synovia však nekráčali jeho cestami, išli za ziskom, prijímali dary a prevrátili právo.
3 (UKJV) And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after illegal gain, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.

4 (HEM) ויתקבצו כל זקני ישראל ויבאו אל שמואל הרמתה׃
4 (KAT) Vtedy sa zhromaždili všetci starší Izraela a išli k Samuelovi do Rámy.
4 (UKJV) Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,

5 (HEM) ויאמרו אליו הנה אתה זקנת ובניך לא הלכו בדרכיך עתה שימה לנו מלך לשפטנו ככל הגוים׃
5 (KAT) A povedali mu: „Ty si ostarel a tvoji synovia nekráčajú po tvojich cestách. Nuž ustanov nám kráľa, nech panuje nad nami, ako je to u všetkých národov!“
5 (UKJV) And said unto him, Behold, you are old, and your sons walk not in your ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

6 (HEM) וירע הדבר בעיני שמואל כאשר אמרו תנה לנו מלך לשפטנו ויתפלל שמואל אל יהוה׃
6 (KAT) Ale Samuelovi sa nepáčilo, keď mu hovorili: „Daj nám kráľa, nech panuje nad nami!“ Preto sa Samuel modlil k Pánovi.
6 (UKJV) But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.

7 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה אל שמואל שמע בקול העם לכל אשר יאמרו אליך כי לא אתך מאסו כי אתי מאסו ממלך עליהם׃
7 (KAT) A Pán povedal Samuelovi: „Vypočuj hlas ľudu vo všetkom, čo ti povedia, veď nie tebou opovrhli, opovrhli mnou, aby som nekraľoval nad nimi.
7 (UKJV) And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto you: for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

8 (HEM) ככל המעשים אשר עשו מיום העלתי אתם ממצרים ועד היום הזה ויעזבני ויעבדו אלהים אחרים כן המה עשים גם לך׃
8 (KAT) Podobne, ako robili odo dňa, keď som ich vyviedol z Egypta, až po tento deň, že ma opustili a slúžili iným bohom, tak robia aj tebe.
8 (UKJV) According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto you.

9 (HEM) ועתה שמע בקולם אך כי העד תעיד בהם והגדת להם משפט המלך אשר ימלך עליהם׃
9 (KAT) Vypočuj ich hlas, ale dôrazne ich upozorni a vylož im právo kráľa, ktorý bude nad nimi kraľovať!“
9 (UKJV) Now therefore hearken unto their voice: nevertheless yet protest solemnly unto them, and show them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.

10 (HEM) ויאמר שמואל את כל דברי יהוה אל העם השאלים מאתו מלך׃
10 (KAT) Samuel oznámil všetky Pánove slová ľudu, ktorý od neho požadoval kráľa.
10 (UKJV) And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.

11 (HEM) ויאמר זה יהיה משפט המלך אשר ימלך עליכם את בניכם יקח ושם לו במרכבתו ובפרשיו ורצו לפני מרכבתו׃
11 (KAT) I povedal: „Toto bude právo kráľa, ktorý bude nad vami panovať: Vašich synov vezme a postaví ich k svojim vozom a k svojim koňom a budú bežať pred jeho vozom.
11 (UKJV) "And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. "

12 (HEM) ולשום לו שרי אלפים ושרי חמשים ולחרש חרישו ולקצר קצירו ולעשות כלי מלחמתו וכלי רכבו׃
12 (KAT) (Vezme ich), aby ich ustanovil za veliteľov nad tisíc mužmi a za veliteľov nad päťdesiatimi, aby orali jeho oráčinu a žali jeho žeň, aby zhotovovali jeho vojnový výstroj a výstroj jeho vozov.
12 (UKJV) "And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. "

13 (HEM) ואת בנותיכם יקח לרקחות ולטבחות ולאפות׃

13 (UKJV) And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.

14 (HEM) ואת שדותיכם ואת כרמיכם וזיתיכם הטובים יקח ונתן לעבדיו׃
14 (KAT) Zoberie vaše najlepšie polia, vinohrady a olivy a dá ich svojim sluhom.
14 (UKJV) And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your olive yards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.

15 (HEM) וזרעיכם וכרמיכם יעשר ונתן לסריסיו ולעבדיו׃
15 (KAT) Z vášho zrna a vašich viníc vezme desiatky a dá ich svojim komorníkom a svojim sluhom.
15 (UKJV) And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.

16 (HEM) ואת עבדיכם ואת שפחותיכם ואת בחוריכם הטובים ואת חמוריכם יקח ועשה למלאכתו׃
16 (KAT) Zoberie vašich sluhov, vaše slúžky, najlepšiu vašu mládež a vaše osly a použije ich na svoje práce.
16 (UKJV) And he will take your male servants, and your maidservants, and your best young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.

17 (HEM) צאנכם יעשר ואתם תהיו לו לעבדים׃
17 (KAT) Z vašich stád vezme desiatok a vy sami mu budete sluhami.
17 (UKJV) He will take the tenth of your sheep: and all of you shall be his servants.

18 (HEM) וזעקתם ביום ההוא מלפני מלככם אשר בחרתם לכם ולא יענה יהוה אתכם ביום ההוא׃
18 (KAT) A keď budete v ten deň stenať pre kráľa, ktorého ste si vyvolili, Pán vás v ten deň nevyslyší.“
18 (UKJV) "And all of you shall cry out in that day because of your king which all of you shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day. "

19 (HEM) וימאנו העם לשמע בקול שמואל ויאמרו לא כי אם מלך יהיה עלינו׃
19 (KAT) Ľud však nechcel ani počuť Samuelov hlas a vravel: „Nie, ale nech je nad nami kráľ!
19 (UKJV) "Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; "

20 (HEM) והיינו גם אנחנו ככל הגוים ושפטנו מלכנו ויצא לפנינו ונלחם את מלחמתנו׃
20 (KAT) Budeme ako všetky národy, bude nás súdiť náš kráľ, bude pred nami tiahnuť a bude viesť naše vojny.“
20 (UKJV) "That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. "

21 (HEM) וישמע שמואל את כל דברי העם וידברם באזני יהוה׃
21 (KAT) Samuel vypočul všetky reči ľudu a predniesol ich Pánovi.
21 (UKJV) And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD.

22 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה אל שמואל שמע בקולם והמלכת להם מלך ויאמר שמואל אל אנשי ישראל לכו איש לעירו׃
22 (KAT) A Pán povedal Samuelovi: „Vypočuj ich hlas a ustanov im kráľa!“ Tu Samuel povedal mužom Izraela: „Nech ide každý do svojho mesta!“
22 (UKJV) And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go all of you every man unto his city.
