1 (KJV) And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months.
1 (SVD) وكان تابوت الله في بلاد الفلسطينيين سبعة اشهر.
1 (B21) Hospodinova truhla zůstala ve filištínském kraji sedm měsíců.

2 (KJV) And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place.
2 (SVD) فدعا الفلسطينيون الكهنة والعرّافين قائلين ماذا نعمل بتابوت الرب. اخبرونا بماذا نرسله الى مكانه.
2 (B21) Filištíni svolali své kněze a věštce: "Co máme dělat s Hospodinovou truhlou?" ptali se. "Oznamte nám, jak ji máme poslat, kam patří."

3 (KJV) And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.
3 (SVD) فقالوا اذا ارسلتم تابوت اله اسرائيل فلا ترسلوه فارغا بل ردّوا له قربان اثم. حينئذ تشفون ويعلم عندكم لماذا لا ترتفع يده عنكم.
3 (B21) Ti odpověděli: "Až budete odesílat truhlu izraelského boha, neodesílejte ji s prázdnou. Rozhodně ji musíte poslat zpátky s odškodněním. Tak se uzdravíte a poznáte, proč se jeho ruka od vás neodvracela."

4 (KJV) Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.
4 (SVD) فقالوا وما هو قربان الاثم الذي نرده له. فقالوا حسب عدد اقطاب الفلسطينيين خمسة بواسير من ذهب وخمسة فيران من ذهب. لان الضربة واحدة عليكم جميعا وعلى اقطابكم.
4 (B21) "A jaké odškodnění s ní máme poslat zpět?" otázali se. "Pět zlatých nádorů a pět zlatých krys podle počtu filištínských vládců," zněla odpověď, "neboť tatáž pohroma postihla všechny včetně vašich vládců.

5 (KJV) Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.
5 (SVD) واصنعوا تماثيل بواسيركم وتماثيل فيرانكم التي تفسد الارض واعطوا اله اسرائيل مجدا لعله يخفف يده عنكم وعن آلهتكم وعن ارضكم.
5 (B21) Zhotovte podobizny svých nádorů a podobizny krys, které ničí vaši zem, a vzdejte čest bohu Izraele. Snad nadlehčí svou ruku nad vámi, vašimi bohy i vaší zemí.

6 (KJV) Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharoah hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?
6 (SVD) ولماذا تغلظون قلوبكم كما اغلظ المصريون وفرعون قلوبهم. أليس على ما فعل بهم اطلقوهم فذهبوا.
6 (B21) Proč byste měli zatvrzovat své srdce, jako to udělali Egypťané a farao? Když se s nimi tento bůh vypořádal, nakonec je stejně propustili a oni šli.

7 (KJV) Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:
7 (SVD) فالآن خذوا واعملوا عجلة واحدة جديدة وبقرتين مرضعتين لم يعلهما نير واربطوا البقرتين الى العجلة وارجعوا ولديهما عنهما الى البيت
7 (B21) Proto teď připravte jeden nový vůz a dvě otelené krávy, na něž nebylo nikdy vloženo jho. Obě krávy zapřáhněte do vozu a jejich telata od nich odveďte domů.

8 (KJV) And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.
8 (SVD) وخذوا تابوت الرب واجعلوه على العجلة وضعوا امتعة الذهب التي تردونها له قربان اثم في صندوق بجانبه واطلقوه فيذهب.
8 (B21) Vezměte Hospodinovu truhlu, naložte ji na vůz, ty zlaté předměty, které s ní vracíte jako odškodnění, přidejte do mošny po straně a pošlete ji pryč.

9 (KJV) And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Beth-shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.
9 (SVD) وانظروا فان صعد في طريق تخمه الى بيتشمس فانه هو الذي فعل بنا هذا الشر العظيم والا فنعلم ان يده لم تضربنا. كان ذلك علينا عرضا
9 (B21) Pak uvidíte: Zamíří-li do svého kraje směrem k Bet-šemeši, pak nám toto hrozné neštěstí způsobil on. Pokud ne, budete vědět, že nás nezasáhla jeho ruka, ale stalo se nám to náhodou."

10 (KJV) And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:
10 (SVD) ففعل الرجال كذلك واخذوا بقرتين مرضعتين وربطوهما الى العجلة وحبسوا ولديهما في البيت
10 (B21) A tak to udělali. Vzali dvě otelené krávy, zapřáhli je do vozu a jejich telata zavřeli doma.

11 (KJV) And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods.
11 (SVD) ووضعوا تابوت الرب على العجلة مع الصندوق وفيران الذهب وتماثيل بواسيرهم.
11 (B21) Hospodinovu truhlu naložili na vůz spolu s mošnou, v níž byly ty zlaté krysy a podobizny nádorů.

12 (KJV) And the kine took the straight way to the way of Beth-shemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Beth-shemesh.
12 (SVD) فاستقامت البقرتان في الطريق الى طريق بيتشمس وكانتا تسيران في سكة واحدة وتجأران ولم تميلا يمينا ولا شمالا واقطاب الفلسطينيين يسيرون وراءهما الى تخم بيتشمس.
12 (B21) Krávy zamířily rovnou k Bet-šemeši. Šly stále stejným směrem po téže silnici. Bučely, ale neuhnuly napravo ani nalevo. Filištínští vládci kráčeli za nimi až k hranici u Bet-šemeše.

13 (KJV) And they of Beth-shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.
13 (SVD) وكان اهل بيتشمس يحصدون حصاد الحنطة في الوادي. فرفعوا اعينهم ورأوا التابوت وفرحوا برؤيته.
13 (B21) Obyvatelé Bet-šemeše právě v údolí sklízeli pšenici. Když pozvedli zrak a spatřili Truhlu, ten pohled je rozradostnil.

14 (KJV) And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Beth-shemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD.
14 (SVD) فأتت العجلة الى حقل يهوشع البيتشمسي ووقفت هناك. وهناك حجر كبير. فشقّقوا خشب العجلة واصعدوا البقرتين محرقة للرب.
14 (B21) Vůz dojel až k poli Jošuy Betšemešského a zastavil tam u velikého kamene. Místní pak ten vůz rozštípali na dříví a krávy přinesli jako zápalnou oběť Hospodinu.

15 (KJV) And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.
15 (SVD) فانزل اللاويون تابوت الرب والصندوق الذي معه الذي فيه امتعة الذهب ووضعوهما على الحجر الكبير. واصعد اهل بيتشمس محرقات وذبحوا ذبائح في ذلك اليوم للرب.
15 (B21) Levité hned složili Truhlu Hospodinovu a s ní i mošnu, ve které byly ony zlaté předměty, a položili je u toho velikého kamene. Obyvatelé Bet-šemeše toho dne přinášeli zápalné oběti a připravili obětní hody Hospodinu.

16 (KJV) And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.
16 (SVD) فرأى اقطاب الفلسطينيين الخمسة ورجعوا الى عقرون في ذلك اليوم
16 (B21) Když to pětice filištínských vládců viděla, vrátili se toho dne zpátky do Ekronu.

17 (KJV) And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;
17 (SVD) وهذه هي بواسير الذهب التي ردها الفلسطينيون قربان اثم للرب. واحد لاشدود وواحد لغزّة وواحد لاشقلون وواحد لجتّ وواحد لعقرون.
17 (B21) Toto jsou zlaté nádory, které Filištíni vrátili jako odškodné Hospodinu: jeden za Ašdod, jeden za Gazu, jeden za Aškelon, jeden za Gat a jeden za Ekron.

18 (KJV) And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Beth-shemite.
18 (SVD) وفيران الذهب بعدد جميع مدن الفلسطينيين للخمسة الاقطاب من المدينة المحصّنة الى قرية الصحراء. وشاهد هو الحجر الكبير الذي وضعوا عليه تابوت الرب. هو الى هذا اليوم في حقل يهوشع البيتشمسي
18 (B21) I zlatých krys bylo do počtu podle všech filištínských měst náležejících oněm pěti vladařům od opevněného města až po venkovskou obec. Onen veliký kámen, na který složili Hospodinovu truhlu, je toho svědkem až dodnes na poli Jošuy Betšemešského.

19 (KJV) And he smote the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.
19 (SVD) وضرب اهل بيتشمس لانهم نظروا الى تابوت الرب. وضرب من الشعب خمسين الف رجل وسبعين رجلا فناح الشعب لان الرب ضرب الشعب ضربة عظيمة.
19 (B21) Hospodin ale srazil ty obyvatele Bet-šemeše, kteří nahlíželi do Truhly Hospodinovy. Ranil sedmdesát mužů (vždy pět mužů z tisíce). Lid pak držel smutek, protože Hospodin ranil lid tou hroznou ranou.

20 (KJV) And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?
20 (SVD) وقال اهل بيتشمس من يقدر ان يقف امام الرب الاله القدوس هذا والى من يصعد عنا.
20 (B21) Proto si obyvatelé Bet-šemeše říkali: "Kdo může obstát před Hospodinem, tak svatým Bohem? A ke komu má zamířit od nás?"

21 (KJV) And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.
21 (SVD) وارسلوا رسلا الى سكان قرية يعاريم قائلين قد ردّ الفلسطينيون تابوت الرب فانزلوا واصعدوه اليكم
21 (B21) Vyslali tedy posly k obyvatelům Kiriat-jearimu: "Filištíni vrátili Truhlu Hospodinovu! Pojďte si ji odnést k sobě."
