1 (HEM) ויקבצו פלשתים את כל מחניהם אפקה וישראל חנים בעין אשר ביזרעאל׃
1 (KAT) Filištínci zhromaždili celé svoje vojsko do Afeku, Izraeliti táborili pri prameni, ktorý je v Jezraeli.
1 (UKJV) Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel.

2 (HEM) וסרני פלשתים עברים למאות ולאלפים ודוד ואנשיו עברים באחרנה עם אכיש׃
2 (KAT) Filištínske kniežatá postupovali po stovkách a tisíckach, Dávid však a jeho mužovia postupovali vzadu s Achisom.
2 (UKJV) And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rear guard with Achish.

3 (HEM) ויאמרו שרי פלשתים מה העברים האלה ויאמר אכיש אל שרי פלשתים הלוא זה דוד עבד שאול מלך ישראל אשר היה אתי זה ימים או זה שנים ולא מצאתי בו מאומה מיום נפלו עד היום הזה׃
3 (KAT) Vtedy hovorili filištínske kniežatá: „Čo chcú títo Hebrejci?“ Achis odpovedal filištínskym kniežatám: „Veď je to Dávid, sluha izraelského kráľa Šaula, ktorý je už dni a roky u mňa, a odo dňa, čo prišiel, až po dnešný deň som nenašiel nič proti nemu.“
3 (UKJV) Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which has been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?

4 (HEM) ויקצפו עליו שרי פלשתים ויאמרו לו שרי פלשתים השב את האיש וישב אל מקומו אשר הפקדתו שם ולא ירד עמנו במלחמה ולא יהיה לנו לשטן במלחמה ובמה יתרצה זה אל אדניו הלוא בראשי האנשים ההם׃
4 (KAT) Ale filištínske kniežatá sa nahnevali naň a hovorili mu: „Pošli toho chlapa nazad, nech ide na svoje miesto, na ktoré si ho zadelil! Ale do boja nech s nami nejde, aby sa nám vo vojne nestal nepriateľom. Čím iným by si tento mohol získať priazeň svojho pána ako hlavami týchto ľudí?
4 (UKJV) "And the princes of the Philistines were angry with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which you have appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men? "

5 (HEM) הלוא זה דוד אשר יענו לו במחלות לאמר הכה שאול באלפו ודוד ברבבתו׃
5 (KAT) Alebo to nie je Dávid, ktorému s tancom vyspevovali: »Porazil Šaul svojich tisíc, ale Dávid svojich desaťtisíc«?“
5 (UKJV) Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

6 (HEM) ויקרא אכיש אל דוד ויאמר אליו חי יהוה כי ישר אתה וטוב בעיני צאתך ובאך אתי במחנה כי לא מצאתי בך רעה מיום באך אלי עד היום הזה ובעיני הסרנים לא טוב אתה׃
6 (KAT) Nato Achis zavolal Dávida a povedal mu: „Ako žije Pán, ty si úprimný a je veľmi milé mojim očiam, že v tábore chodíš všade so mnou, lebo odo dňa, čo si ku mne prišiel, až po dnešný deň som nič zlé na tebe nenašiel. Ale kniežatám sa nepáčiš.
6 (UKJV) Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour you not.

7 (HEM) ועתה שוב ולך בשלום ולא תעשה רע בעיני סרני פלשתים׃
7 (KAT) Preto sa vráť a choď v pokoji, aby si neurobil niečo, čo by sa filištínskym kniežatám nepáčilo.“
7 (UKJV) Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that you displease not the lords of the Philistines.

8 (HEM) ויאמר דוד אל אכיש כי מה עשיתי ומה מצאת בעבדך מיום אשר הייתי לפניך עד היום הזה כי לא אבוא ונלחמתי באיבי אדני המלך׃
8 (KAT) Dávid povedal Achisovi: „Ale čože som urobil a čo si našiel na svojom služobníkovi odo dňa, čo som vstúpil do tvojej služby, až po dnešný deň, že nemám ísť a nemám bojovať proti nepriateľom svojho pána, kráľa?“
8 (UKJV) And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what have you found in your servant so long as I have been with you unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?

9 (HEM) ויען אכיש ויאמר אל דוד ידעתי כי טוב אתה בעיני כמלאך אלהים אך שרי פלשתים אמרו לא יעלה עמנו במלחמה׃
9 (KAT) Achis odvetil Dávidovi: „Viem, že mne si príjemný ako Boží anjel, ale filištínske kniežatá povedali: »Nech nejde s nami do boja!«
9 (UKJV) And Achish answered and said to David, I know that you are good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.

10 (HEM) ועתה השכם בבקר ועבדי אדניך אשר באו אתך והשכמתם בבקר ואור לכם ולכו׃
10 (KAT) Preto teraz ráno vstaň, aj sluhovia tvojho pána, ktorí s tebou prišli! A keď ráno, len čo sa rozvidnie, vstanete, odíďte!“
10 (UKJV) Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with your master's servants that are come with you: and as soon as all of you be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.

11 (HEM) וישכם דוד הוא ואנשיו ללכת בבקר לשוב אל ארץ פלשתים ופלשתים עלו יזרעאל׃
11 (KAT) A Dávid - on i jeho družina - ráno vstali, aby sa vrátili do krajiny Filištíncov. Filištínci však vystupovali do Jezraelu.
11 (UKJV) So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
