1 (KJV) And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
1 (SVD) وقال داود في قلبه اني ساهلك يوما بيد شاول فلا شيء خير لي من ان افلت الى ارض الفلسطينيين فييأس شاول مني فلا يفتش عليّ بعد في جميع تخوم اسرائيل فانجو من يده.
1 (B21) David si ale pomyslel: "Teď mohu kdykoli Saulovou rukou zahynout. Nezbývá mi nic lepšího než utéct do filištínské země. Pak mě Saul nechá a přestane mě hledat po celém Izraeli. Takhle mu uniknu z rukou."

2 (KJV) And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that were with him unto Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.
2 (SVD) فقام داود وعبر هو والست مئة الرجل الذين معه الى اخيش بن معوك ملك جتّ
2 (B21) Proto David vyrazil na cestu a se šesti sty svými muži přešel ke gatskému králi Achišovi, synu Maochovu.

3 (KJV) And David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife.
3 (SVD) واقام داود عند اخيش في جتّ هو ورجاله كل واحد وبيته داود وامرأتاه اخينوعم اليزرعيلية وابيجايل امرأة نابال الكرملية.
3 (B21) David i jeho muži se tedy usadili u Achiše v Gatu. Každý měl s sebou svoji rodinu, David pak obě své ženy, Achinoam Jizreelskou a Abigail, vdovu po Nábalovi Karmelském.

4 (KJV) And it was told Saul that David was fled to Gath: and he sought no more again for him.
4 (SVD) فأخبر شاول ان داود قد هرب الى جتّ فلم يعد ايضا يفتش عليه
4 (B21) Když bylo Saulovi oznámeno, že David utekl do Gatu, přestal ho hledat.

5 (KJV) And David said unto Achish, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee?
5 (SVD) فقال داود لاخيش ان كنت قد وجدت نعمة في عينيك فليعطوني مكانا في احدى قرى الحقل فاسكن هناك. ولماذا يسكن عبدك في مدينة المملكة معك.
5 (B21) David řekl Achišovi: "Mohl bys mi prokázat laskavost? Prosím, ať mi poskytnou místo v některém venkovském městečku, abych se tam usadil. Proč by měl tvůj služebník bydlet s tebou v královském městě?"

6 (KJV) Then Achish gave him Ziklag that day: wherefore Ziklag pertaineth unto the kings of Judah unto this day.
6 (SVD) فاعطاه اخيش في ذلك اليوم صقلغ. لذلك صارت صقلغ لملوك يهوذا الى هذا اليوم.
6 (B21) Toho dne mu tedy Achiš dal Ciklag. Proto Ciklag patří až dodnes judským králům.

7 (KJV) And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and four months.
7 (SVD) وكان عدد الايام التي سكن فيها داود في بلاد الفلسطينيين سنة واربعة اشهر.
7 (B21) David strávil ve filištínském kraji celkem rok a čtyři měsíce.

8 (KJV) And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.
8 (SVD) وصعد داود ورجاله وغزوا الجشوريين والجرزيين والعمالقة لان هؤلاء من قديم سكان الارض من عند شور الى ارض مصر.
8 (B21) David se svými muži podnikal nájezdy na Gešurejce, Girzejce i Amalekovce. (Ti totiž odpradávna bydleli v tom kraji, který se táhne až k Šuru směrem k egyptské k zemi.)

9 (KJV) And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.
9 (SVD) وضرب داود الارض ولم يستبق رجلا ولا امرأة واخذ غنما وبقرا وحميرا وجمالا وثيابا ورجع وجاء الى اخيش.
9 (B21) David útočil na celý ten kraj a nenechával naživu muže ani ženy, zabíral brav i skot, osly, velbloudy i oděvy. Potom se vracel k Achišovi.

10 (KJV) And Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
10 (SVD) فقال اخيش اذا لم تغزوا اليوم. فقال داود بلى. على جنوبي يهوذا وجنوبي اليرحمئيليين وجنوبي القينيين.
10 (B21) Když se Achiš ptal: "Na koho jste dnes podnikli nájezd?" David odpovídal: "Do judského Negevu," nebo "do Negevu Jerachmeelců," nebo "do kenijského Negevu."

11 (KJV) And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell on us, saying, So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines.
11 (SVD) فلم يستبق داود رجلا ولا امرأة حتى يأتي الى جتّ اذ قال لئلا يخبروا عنا قائلين هكذا فعل داود. وهكذا عادته كل ايام اقامته في بلاد الفلسطينيين.
11 (B21) David nenechával naživu muže ani ženy, aby je nemusel vodit do Gatu. Říkal si: "Aby na nás nevyzradili, co vlastně David dělá." Tak si David počínal celou dobu, kdy bydlel ve filištínském kraji.

12 (KJV) And Achish believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever.
12 (SVD) فصدّق اخيش داود قائلا قد صار مكروها لدى شعبه اسرائيل فيكون لي عبدا الى الابد
12 (B21) Achiš ale Davidovi věřil; myslel si: "Ten se svému lidu Izraeli nadobro zprotivil. Zůstane mým služebníkem už napořád."
