1 (HEM) ויגדו לדוד לאמר הנה פלשתים נלחמים בקעילה והמה שסים את הגרנות׃
1 (KAT) Dávidovi oznámili: „Hľa, Filištínci obliehajú Keilu a vyplieňujú humná.“
1 (UKJV) Then they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshing floors.

2 (HEM) וישאל דוד ביהוה לאמר האלך והכיתי בפלשתים האלה ויאמר יהוה אל דוד לך והכית בפלשתים והושעת את קעילה׃
2 (KAT) Dávid sa dopytoval Pána: „Mám ísť a poraziť týchto Filištíncov?“ A Pán odpovedal Dávidovi: „Choď, poraz Filištíncov a osloboď Keilu!“
2 (UKJV) Therefore David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go and strike these Philistines? And the LORD said unto David, Go, and strike the Philistines, and save Keilah.

3 (HEM) ויאמרו אנשי דוד אליו הנה אנחנו פה ביהודה יראים ואף כי נלך קעלה אל מערכות פלשתים׃
3 (KAT) Ale Dávidovi ľudia mu hovorili: „Veď my sa už tu v Júdsku bojíme a mali by sme ísť do Keily proti šíkom Filištíncov?!“
3 (UKJV) And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be afraid here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?

4 (HEM) ויוסף עוד דוד לשאל ביהוה ויענהו יהוה ויאמר קום רד קעילה כי אני נתן את פלשתים בידך׃
4 (KAT) Nato sa Dávid opätovne dopytoval Pána. A Pán mu povedal: „Vstaň, zostúp do Keily, lebo ti Filištíncov vydám do ruky!“
4 (UKJV) "Then David enquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into your hand. "

5 (HEM) וילך דוד ואנשו קעילה וילחם בפלשתים וינהג את מקניהם ויך בהם מכה גדולה וישע דוד את ישבי קעילה׃
5 (KAT) Dávid teda šiel so svojimi ľuďmi do Keily, bojoval proti Filištíncom, odohnal ich dobytok a zapríčinil im veľkú porážku. Tak Dávid oslobodil obyvateľov Keily.
5 (UKJV) So David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and stroke them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.

6 (HEM) ויהי בברח אביתר בן אחימלך אל דוד קעילה אפוד ירד בידו׃
6 (KAT) (Keď Achimelechov syn Abiatar utiekol k Dávidovi [a zostúpil do Keily, mal efód v ruke].)
6 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.

7 (HEM) ויגד לשאול כי בא דוד קעילה ויאמר שאול נכר אתו אלהים בידי כי נסגר לבוא בעיר דלתים ובריח׃
7 (KAT) Vtedy oznámili Šaulovi, že Dávid prišiel do Keily. Šaul povedal: „Pán ho vydal do mojej ruky, zatvoril sa (sám), keď vošiel do mesta s bránami a závorami.“
7 (UKJV) "And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God has delivered him into mine hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that has gates and bars. "

8 (HEM) וישמע שאול את כל העם למלחמה לרדת קעילה לצור אל דוד ואל אנשיו׃
8 (KAT) Šaul vyzval všetok ľud do boja, aby zostúpili do Keily a obkľúčili Dávida.
8 (UKJV) And Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.

9 (HEM) וידע דוד כי עליו שאול מחריש הרעה ויאמר אל אביתר הכהן הגישה האפוד׃
9 (KAT) Keď sa Dávid dozvedel, že Šaul kuje proti nemu zlo, povedal kňazovi Abiatarovi: „Prines efód!“
9 (UKJV) "And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring here the ephod. "

10 (HEM) ויאמר דוד יהוה אלהי ישראל שמע שמע עבדך כי מבקש שאול לבוא אל קעילה לשחת לעיר בעבורי׃
10 (KAT) Potom Dávid povedal: „Pane, Bože Izraela, tvoj sluha počul, že Šaul chce prísť do Keily, aby pre mňa zničil mesto.
10 (UKJV) Then said David, O LORD God of Israel, your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake.

11 (HEM) היסגרני בעלי קעילה בידו הירד שאול כאשר שמע עבדך יהוה אלהי ישראל הגד נא לעבדך ויאמר יהוה ירד׃
11 (KAT) Vydajú ma obyvatelia Keily do jeho ruky? Zostúpi Šaul do Keily, ako počul tvoj sluha? Pane, Bože Izraela, oznám to svojmu sluhovi!“ A Pán odpovedal: „Zostúpi.“
11 (UKJV) Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? O LORD God of Israel, I plead to you, tell your servant. And the LORD said, He will come down.

12 (HEM) ויאמר דוד היסגרו בעלי קעילה אתי ואת אנשי ביד שאול ויאמר יהוה יסגירו׃
12 (KAT) Dávid sa spýtal: „Vydajú obyvatelia Keily mňa a mojich ľudí do Šaulovej ruky?“ A Pán odpovedal: „Vydajú.“
12 (UKJV) Then said David, Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul? And the LORD said, They will deliver you up.

13 (HEM) ויקם דוד ואנשיו כשש מאות איש ויצאו מקעלה ויתהלכו באשר יתהלכו ולשאול הגד כי נמלט דוד מקעילה ויחדל לצאת׃
13 (KAT) Nato sa Dávid zobral, i jeho ľudia, asi šesťsto mužov, vytiahli z Keily a chodili sem i tam. Keď Šaulovi oznámili, že Dávid z Keily ušiel, zastavil výpravu.
13 (UKJV) "Then David and his men, which were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went anywhere they could go. And it was told Saul that David was escaped from Keilah; and he ceased to go forth. "

14 (HEM) וישב דוד במדבר במצדות וישב בהר במדבר זיף ויבקשהו שאול כל הימים ולא נתנו אלהים בידו׃
14 (KAT) Dávid sa zdržoval na púšti v pevnostiach. Zdržoval sa na kopci na púšti Zif. Šaul ho hľadal celý čas, ale Boh mu ho nevydal do ruky.
14 (UKJV) And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand.

15 (HEM) וירא דוד כי יצא שאול לבקש את נפשו ודוד במדבר זיף בחרשה׃
15 (KAT) Dávid videl, že Šaul vyšiel a číhal mu na život. Dávid bol na púšti Zif v Horese.
15 (UKJV) And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life: and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a wood.

16 (HEM) ויקם יהונתן בן שאול וילך אל דוד חרשה ויחזק את ידו באלהים׃
16 (KAT) Vtedy sa Šaulov syn Jonatán vybral, išiel za Dávidom do Horesy a posmeľoval Dávida v Bohu.
16 (UKJV) And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.

17 (HEM) ויאמר אליו אל תירא כי לא תמצאך יד שאול אבי ואתה תמלך על ישראל ואנכי אהיה לך למשנה וגם שאול אבי ידע כן׃
17 (KAT) Vravel mu: „Neboj sa, nedostane ťa ruka môjho otca Šaula. Ty budeš kraľovať nad Izraelom a ja budem po tebe druhý. To vie aj môj otec Šaul.“
17 (UKJV) "And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you; and you shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto you; and that also Saul my father knows. "

18 (HEM) ויכרתו שניהם ברית לפני יהוה וישב דוד בחרשה ויהונתן הלך לביתו׃
18 (KAT) A obaja uzavreli zmluvu pred Pánom. Potom Dávid ostal v Horese, Jonatán však išiel domov.
18 (UKJV) And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house.

19 (HEM) ויעלו זפים אל שאול הגבעתה לאמר הלוא דוד מסתתר עמנו במצדות בחרשה בגבעת החכילה אשר מימין הישימון׃
19 (KAT) Zifania vyšli k Šaulovi do Gabay a hovorili: „Veď sa Dávid schováva u nás v pevnostiach, v Horese na kopci Hachila, ktorý je na juh od pustatiny!
19 (UKJV) Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Does not David hide himself with us in strong holds in the wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon?

20 (HEM) ועתה לכל אות נפשך המלך לרדת רד ולנו הסגירו ביד המלך׃
20 (KAT) Ak teda celou dušou túžiš zostúpiť, kráľ, zostúp a našou vecou bude vydať ho kráľovi do ruky.“
20 (UKJV) "Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of your soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king's hand. "

21 (HEM) ויאמר שאול ברוכים אתם ליהוה כי חמלתם עלי׃
21 (KAT) Šaul odpovedal: „Nech vás požehná Pán, lebo cítite so mnou!
21 (UKJV) "And Saul said, Blessed be all of you of the LORD; for all of you have compassion on me. "

22 (HEM) לכו נא הכינו עוד ודעו וראו את מקומו אשר תהיה רגלו מי ראהו שם כי אמר אלי ערום יערם הוא׃
22 (KAT) Choďte ešte a pozorujte, dozveďte sa a prezrite miesto, kde sa zdržuje, kde sa usídlil!
22 (UKJV) Go, I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who has seen him there: for it is told me that he deals very subtlely.

23 (HEM) וראו ודעו מכל המחבאים אשר יתחבא שם ושבתם אלי אל נכון והלכתי אתכם והיה אם ישנו בארץ וחפשתי אתו בכל אלפי יהודה׃
23 (KAT) Kto ho uvidí, nech mi to povie, lebo je veľmi úlisný! Stopujte a prehliadnite všetky úkryty, v ktorých sa schováva, a vráťte sa ku mne s určitou správou! Potom pôjdem s vami a ak je v tom kraji, vyhľadám ho medzi všetkými júdskymi rodmi.“
23 (UKJV) See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hides himself, and come all of you again to me with the certainty, and I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the land, that I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah.

24 (HEM) ויקומו וילכו זיפה לפני שאול ודוד ואנשיו במדבר מעון בערבה אל ימין הישימון׃
24 (KAT) Zobrali sa a išli pred Šaulom do Zifu. Dávid bol však so svojimi ľuďmi na púšti Máon, na rovine južne od pustatiny.
24 (UKJV) And they arose, and went to Ziph before Saul: but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the plain on the south of Jeshimon.

25 (HEM) וילך שאול ואנשיו לבקש ויגדו לדוד וירד הסלע וישב במדבר מעון וישמע שאול וירדף אחרי דוד מדבר מעון׃
25 (KAT) Šaul sa vybral so svojimi ľuďmi hľadať Dávida. Keď to oznámili Dávidovi, zostúpil ku skale a zdržoval sa na púšti Máon. Keď sa to Šaul dozvedel, tiahol za Dávidom na púšť Máon.
25 (UKJV) "Saul also and his men went to seek him. And they told David; wherefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon. "

26 (HEM) וילך שאול מצד ההר מזה ודוד ואנשיו מצד ההר מזה ויהי דוד נחפז ללכת מפני שאול ושאול ואנשיו עטרים אל דוד ואל אנשיו לתפשם׃
26 (KAT) Šaul a jeho ľudia tiahli popri vrchu z jednej strany, Dávid však a jeho družina popri vrchu z druhej strany. Dávid sa usiloval uniknúť Šaulovi, Šaul však a jeho ľudia obkolesovali Dávida a jeho družinu a chceli ich chytiť.
26 (UKJV) "And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them. "

27 (HEM) ומלאך בא אל שאול לאמר מהרה ולכה כי פשטו פלשתים על הארץ׃
27 (KAT) Ale k Šaulovi prišiel posol so správou: „Rýchle poď, lebo Filištínci vpadli do krajiny!“
27 (UKJV) "But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste you, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land. "

28 (HEM) וישב שאול מרדף אחרי דוד וילך לקראת פלשתים על כן קראו למקום ההוא סלע המחלקות׃
28 (KAT) Šaul teda nechal prenasledovanie Dávida a išiel proti Filištíncom. Preto volajú to miesto „Skala oddelenia“.
28 (UKJV) Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth.

29 (HEM) ויעל דוד משם וישב במצדות עין גדי׃

29 (UKJV) And David went up from thence, and dwelt in strong holds at Engedi.
