1 (HEM) וילך דוד משם וימלט אל מערת עדלם וישמעו אחיו וכל בית אביו וירדו אליו שמה׃
1 (KAT) Dávid odišiel odtiaľ a utiekol do jaskyne Odolam. Keď sa to dopočuli jeho bratia a celá rodina, zostúpili ta za ním
1 (UKJV) David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him.

2 (HEM) ויתקבצו אליו כל איש מצוק וכל איש אשר לו נשא וכל איש מר נפש ויהי עליהם לשר ויהיו עמו כארבע מאות איש׃
2 (KAT) a zhromaždili sa k nemu všetci utláčaní, všetci, čo mali veriteľa aj všetci zatrpknutí a on sa im stal veliteľom. Bolo s ním asi štyristo mužov.
2 (UKJV) "And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men. "

3 (HEM) וילך דוד משם מצפה מואב ויאמר אל מלך מואב יצא נא אבי ואמי אתכם עד אשר אדע מה יעשה לי אלהים׃
3 (KAT) Odtiaľto Dávid odišiel do moabskej Masfy a povedal moabskému kráľovi: „Nech ostane, prosím, môj otec a moja matka u vás, kým sa nedozviem, ako so mnou naloží Boh.“
3 (UKJV) And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray you, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.

4 (HEM) וינחם את פני מלך מואב וישבו עמו כל ימי היות דוד במצודה׃
4 (KAT) I nechal ich u moabského kráľa. Bývali u neho celý čas, čo bol Dávid v pevnosti.
4 (UKJV) And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.

5 (HEM) ויאמר גד הנביא אל דוד לא תשב במצודה לך ובאת לך ארץ יהודה וילך דוד ויבא יער חרת׃
5 (KAT) Vtedy prorok Gad povedal Dávidovi: „Neostávaj v pevnosti, ale zober sa a choď do júdskej krajiny!“ A tak Dávid odišiel a prišiel do hory Háret.
5 (UKJV) "And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get you into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth. "

6 (HEM) וישמע שאול כי נודע דוד ואנשים אשר אתו ושאול יושב בגבעה תחת האשל ברמה וחניתו בידו וכל עבדיו נצבים עליו׃
6 (KAT) Šaul sa dopočul, že objavili Dávida a mužov, ktorí sú s ním. Šaul sedel práve v Gabae na výšine pod tamariškou. V ruke mal kopiju a všetko jeho služobníctvo stálo okolo neho.
6 (UKJV) "When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;) "

7 (HEM) ויאמר שאול לעבדיו הנצבים עליו שמעו נא בני ימיני גם לכלכם יתן בן ישי שדות וכרמים לכלכם ישים שרי אלפים ושרי מאות׃
7 (KAT) A Šaul povedal sluhom, ktorí stáli pri ňom: „Čujte, Benjamínci! Dá vám všetkým Izaiho syn polia a vinice?! Alebo vás všetkých urobí plukovníkmi a stotníkmi?!
7 (UKJV) "Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, all of you Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds; "

8 (HEM) כי קשרתם כלכם עלי ואין גלה את אזני בכרת בני עם בן ישי ואין חלה מכם עלי וגלה את אזני כי הקים בני את עבדי עלי לארב כיום הזה׃
8 (KAT) Lebo ste sa všetci sprisahali proti mne a nebolo toho, kto by mi oznámil, keď sa môj syn spojil so synom Izaiho. Nebolo z vás nikoho, kto by bol mal so mnou súcit a bol by mi oznámil, keď môj syn postavil proti mne môjho sluhu, aby mi strojil úklady, ako je tomu dnes.“
8 (UKJV) That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that shows me that my son has made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or shows unto me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

9 (HEM) ויען דאג האדמי והוא נצב על עבדי שאול ויאמר ראיתי את בן ישי בא נבה אל אחימלך בן אחטוב׃
9 (KAT) Nato sa ozval Edomčan Doeg - stál totiž medzi Šaulovými sluhami - a povedal: „Videl som Izaiho syna, keď prišiel do Nobu k Achitobovmu synovi Achimelechovi.
9 (UKJV) Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.

10 (HEM) וישאל לו ביהוה וצידה נתן לו ואת חרב גלית הפלשתי נתן לו׃
10 (KAT) On sa dopytoval v jeho veci Pána, dal mu jedlo a dal mu aj meč Filištínca Goliáša.“
10 (UKJV) And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.

11 (HEM) וישלח המלך לקרא את אחימלך בן אחיטוב הכהן ואת כל בית אביו הכהנים אשר בנב ויבאו כלם אל המלך׃
11 (KAT) Nato dal Šaul zavolať Achitobovho syna, kňaza Achimelecha i celú jeho rodinu, kňazov, ktorí boli v Nobe. A prišli všetci ku kráľovi.
11 (UKJV) Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.

12 (HEM) ויאמר שאול שמע נא בן אחיטוב ויאמר הנני אדני׃
12 (KAT) Tu Šaul povedal: „Počúvaj, Achitobov syn!“ On odvetil: „Tu som, môj pane!“
12 (UKJV) And Saul said, Hear now, you son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.

13 (HEM) ויאמר אלו שאול למה קשרתם עלי אתה ובן ישי בתתך לו לחם וחרב ושאול לו באלהים לקום אלי לארב כיום הזה׃
13 (KAT) Šaul mu povedal: „Prečo ste sa sprisahali proti mne, ty a Izaiho syn, keď si mu dal chlieb a meč a dopytoval si sa v jeho veci u Boha, aby povstal proti mne a aby mi strojil úklady, ako je tomu dnes?!“
13 (UKJV) And Saul said unto him, Why have all of you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread, and a sword, and have enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

14 (HEM) ויען אחימלך את המלך ויאמר ומי בכל עבדיך כדוד נאמן וחתן המלך וסר אל משמעתך ונכבד בביתך׃
14 (KAT) Tu Achimelech odvetil kráľovi: „A ktože je spomedzi všetkých tvojich sluhov verný ako Dávid? Kráľov zať, veliteľ tvojej stráže a vážený v tvojom dome!
14 (UKJV) Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all your servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goes at your bidding, and is honourable in your house?

15 (HEM) היום החלתי לשאול לו באלהים חלילה לי אל ישם המלך בעבדו דבר בכל בית אבי כי לא ידע עבדך בכל זאת דבר קטן או גדול׃
15 (KAT) Azda som sa len dnes začal dopytovať v jeho veci u Boha? Ani zďaleka! Nech teda kráľ neupodozrieva svojho sluhu a celý dom môjho otca, lebo tvoj sluha nevie vonkoncom nič o tejto veci.“
15 (UKJV) Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for your servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.

16 (HEM) ויאמר המלך מות תמות אחימלך אתה וכל בית אביך׃
16 (KAT) Kráľ odpovedal: „Určite zomrieš, Achimelech, ty aj celý rod tvojho otca.“
16 (UKJV) And the king said, You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you, and all your father's house.

17 (HEM) ויאמר המלך לרצים הנצבים עליו סבו והמיתו כהני יהוה כי גם ידם עם דוד וכי ידעו כי ברח הוא ולא גלו את אזנו ולא אבו עבדי המלך לשלח את ידם לפגע בכהני יהוה׃
17 (KAT) Nato kráľ povedal drabantom, ktorí stáli pri ňom: „Napred! Zabite Pánových kňazov, lebo sú ruka v ruke s Dávidom! Veď vedeli, že utiekol, a neoznámili mi to!“ Ale kráľovi sluhovia nechceli zdvihnúť ruku a zabiť Pánových kňazov.
17 (UKJV) And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD: because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not show it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.

18 (HEM) ויאמר המלך לדויג סב אתה ופגע בכהנים ויסב דויג האדמי ויפגע הוא בכהנים וימת ביום ההוא שמנים וחמשה איש נשא אפוד בד׃
18 (KAT) Vtedy kráľ oslovil Doega: „Napred ty, a zabi kňazov!“ A Edomčan Doeg vykročil a pozabíjal kňazov. V ten deň zavraždil osemdesiatpäť mužov, ktorí nosili plátenný efód.
18 (UKJV) And the king said to Doeg, Turn you, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

19 (HEM) ואת נב עיר הכהנים הכה לפי חרב מאיש ועד אשה מעולל ועד יונק ושור וחמור ושה לפי חרב׃
19 (KAT) A mesto kňazov Nobe pozrážal ostrím meča, mužov i ženy, dojčence i nemluvňatá, voly, osly i ovce.
19 (UKJV) And Nob, the city of the priests, stroke he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and infants, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.

20 (HEM) וימלט בן אחד לאחימלך בן אחטוב ושמו אביתר ויברח אחרי דוד׃
20 (KAT) Zachránil sa jediný syn Achitobovho syna Achimelecha, menom Abiatar, a ušiel k Dávidovi.
20 (UKJV) And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.

21 (HEM) ויגד אביתר לדוד כי הרג שאול את כהני יהוה׃
21 (KAT) Abiatar oznámil Dávidovi, že Šaul pozabíjal Pánových kňazov.
21 (UKJV) And Abiathar showed David that Saul had slain the LORD's priests.

22 (HEM) ויאמר דוד לאביתר ידעתי ביום ההוא כי שם דויג האדמי כי הגד יגיד לשאול אנכי סבתי בכל נפש בית אביך׃
22 (KAT) Dávid povedal Abiatarovi: „Vedel som v ten deň, že je tam Edomčan Doeg, že to určite oznámi Šaulovi. Ja mám na svedomí všetky životy rodu tvojho otca.
22 (UKJV) And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of your father's house.

23 (HEM) שבה אתי אל תירא כי אשר יבקש את נפשי יבקש את נפשך כי משמרת אתה עמדי׃
23 (KAT) Ostaň so mnou; neboj sa! Veď kto číha na môj život, číha aj na tvoj život, u mňa si v bezpečí!“
23 (UKJV) Abide you with me, fear not: for he that seeks my life seeks your life: but with me you shall be in safeguard.
