1 (HEM) ויהי היום ויאמר יונתן בן שאול אל הנער נשא כליו לכה ונעברה אל מצב פלשתים אשר מעבר הלז ולאביו לא הגיד׃
1 (KAT) Ktorýsi deň povedal Šaulov syn Jonatán svojmu zbrojnošovi: „Nože, prejdime k posádke Filištíncov, ktorá je na druhej strane!“ Svojmu otcovi to však neoznámil.
1 (UKJV) Now it came to pass on a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines' garrison, that is on the other side. But he told not his father.

2 (HEM) ושאול יושב בקצה הגבעה תחת הרמון אשר במגרון והעם אשר עמו כשש מאות איש׃
2 (KAT) Šaul sa zdržoval na okraji Gabay pod granátovou jabloňou, ktorá bola v Magrone. Ľudí, ktorí boli s ním, bolo okolo šesťsto mužov.
2 (UKJV) "And Saul tarried in the uttermost part of Gibeah under a pomegranate tree which is in Migron: and the people that were with him were about six hundred men; "

3 (HEM) ואחיה בן אחטוב אחי איכבוד בן פינחס בן עלי כהן יהוה בשלו נשא אפוד והעם לא ידע כי הלך יונתן׃
3 (KAT) Achiáš, syn Ichabodovho brata Achitoba, ktorý bol synom Finésa, Héliho syna, Pánovho kňaza v Šíle, nosil efód. - Ľud však nevedel, že Jonatán odišiel.
3 (UKJV) And Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, Ichabod's brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the LORD's priest in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. And the people knew not that Jonathan was gone.

4 (HEM) ובין המעברות אשר בקש יונתן לעבר על מצב פלשתים שן הסלע מהעבר מזה ושן הסלע מהעבר מזה ושם האחד בוצץ ושם האחד סנה׃
4 (KAT) Vprostred prechodu, cez ktorý sa Jonatán usiloval prejsť k posádke Filištíncov, bol z jednej i druhej strany skalný výbežok, jeden sa volal Bóses (lesklý), druhý Séne (pichľavý).
4 (UKJV) And between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines' garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.

5 (HEM) השן האחד מצוק מצפון מול מכמש והאחד מנגב מול גבע׃
5 (KAT) Jeden výbežok bol na sever oproti Machmasu, druhý na juh oproti Gabae.
5 (UKJV) The forefront of the one was situated northward opposite to Michmash, and the other southward opposite to Gibeah.

6 (HEM) ויאמר יהונתן אל הנער נשא כליו לכה ונעברה אל מצב הערלים האלה אולי יעשה יהוה לנו כי אין ליהוה מעצור להושיע ברב או במעט׃
6 (KAT) Jonatán povedal chlapcovi, svojmu zbrojnošovi: „Nože, prejdime k posádke tých neobrezancov, azda Pán urobí (niečo) v náš prospech. Veď Pánovi nič neprekáža zachrániť pomocou veľkého alebo nepatrného počtu!“
6 (UKJV) And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.

7 (HEM) ויאמר לו נשא כליו עשה כל אשר בלבבך נטה לך הנני עמך כלבבך׃
7 (KAT) Zbrojnoš mu odpovedal: „Urob, čokoľvek je v tvojom srdci! Rozhodni sa a ja som s tebou, ako si len praješ!“
7 (UKJV) "And his armour bearer said unto him, Do all that is in your heart: turn you; behold, I am with you according to your heart. "

8 (HEM) ויאמר יהונתן הנה אנחנו עברים אל האנשים ונגלינו אליהם׃
8 (KAT) Jonatán vravel: „Prejdime tamto k tým chlapom a ukážeme sa im.
8 (UKJV) Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them.

9 (HEM) אם כה יאמרו אלינו דמו עד הגיענו אליכם ועמדנו תחתינו ולא נעלה אליהם׃
9 (KAT) Ak nám povedia: »Stojte, kým neprídeme k vám!«, ostaneme stáť a nepôjdeme k nim.
9 (UKJV) "If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them. "

10 (HEM) ואם כה יאמרו עלו עלינו ועלינו כי נתנם יהוה בידנו וזה לנו האות׃
10 (KAT) Ale ak nám povedia: »Poďte!«, pôjdeme, lebo nám ich Pán vydal do ruky. Toto nám bude znamením.“
10 (UKJV) "But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the LORD has delivered them into our hand: and this shall be a sign unto us. "

11 (HEM) ויגלו שניהם אל מצב פלשתים ויאמרו פלשתים הנה עברים יצאים מן החרים אשר התחבאו שם׃
11 (KAT) Vtom sa obaja ukázali posádke Filištíncov. Filištínci vraveli: „Aha, Hebrejci vychádzajú z dier, do ktorých sa poschovávali!“
11 (UKJV) And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.

12 (HEM) ויענו אנשי המצבה את יונתן ואת נשא כליו ויאמרו עלו אלינו ונודיעה אתכם דבר ויאמר יונתן אל נשא כליו עלה אחרי כי נתנם יהוה ביד ישראל׃
12 (KAT) A mužovia posádky hovorili Jonatánovi a jeho zbrojnošovi: „Poďte k nám, voľačo vám porozprávame!“ Nato Jonatán povedal svojmu zbrojnošovi: „Poď za mnou, lebo ich Pán vydal do ruky Izraela!“
12 (UKJV) And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armour bearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will show you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armour bearer, Come up after me: for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel.

13 (HEM) ויעל יונתן על ידיו ועל רגליו ונשא כליו אחריו ויפלו לפני יונתן ונשא כליו ממותת אחריו׃
13 (KAT) Jonatán sa teda škriabal nahor rukami a nohami a jeho zbrojnoš za ním. I padali pred Jonatánom a jeho zbrojnoš ich za ním zabíjal.
13 (UKJV) "And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armour bearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armour bearer slew after him. "

14 (HEM) ותהי המכה הראשנה אשר הכה יונתן ונשא כליו כעשרים איש כבחצי מענה צמד שדה׃
14 (KAT) Prvá porážka, ktorú zapríčinil Jonatán a jeho zbrojnoš, čítala okolo dvadsať mužov, asi na pol jutre oráčiny.
14 (UKJV) And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armour bearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow.

15 (HEM) ותהי חרדה במחנה בשדה ובכל העם המצב והמשחית חרדו גם המה ותרגז הארץ ותהי לחרדת אלהים׃
15 (KAT) I rozšíril sa zmätok v tábore, na poli a v celom ľude. Posádka a koristníci sa tiež triasli, lebo sa chvela zem; to bol strach Boží.
15 (UKJV) And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.

16 (HEM) ויראו הצפים לשאול בגבעת בנימן והנה ההמון נמוג וילך והלם׃
16 (KAT) Keď sa Šaulove hliadky pozreli do Benjamínovej Gabay, tábor sa vlnil sem i tam.
16 (UKJV) "And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the multitude melted away, and they went on beating down one another. "

17 (HEM) ויאמר שאול לעם אשר אתו פקדו נא וראו מי הלך מעמנו ויפקדו והנה אין יונתן ונשא כליו׃
17 (KAT) Vtedy Šaul povedal ľudu, ktorý bol s ním: „Spočítajte a zistite, kto odišiel spomedzi nás!“ Spočítali a hľa, nebolo Jonatána a jeho zbrojnoša!
17 (UKJV) Then said Saul unto the people that were with him, Number now, and see who is gone from us. And when they had numbered, behold, Jonathan and his armour bearer were not there.

18 (HEM) ויאמר שאול לאחיה הגישה ארון האלהים כי היה ארון האלהים ביום ההוא ובני ישראל׃
18 (KAT) Vtedy Šaul povedal Achiášovi: „Prines Božiu archu!“ Božia archa bola totiž v ten deň pri synoch Izraela.
18 (UKJV) And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring here the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel.

19 (HEM) ויהי עד דבר שאול אל הכהן וההמון אשר במחנה פלשתים וילך הלוך ורב ויאמר שאול אל הכהן אסף ידך׃
19 (KAT) A kým Šaul hovoril s veľkňazom, zmätok, ktorý bol v tábore Filištíncov, rozrastal sa čoraz viac. Vtedy povedal Šaul veľkňazovi: „Stiahni ruku späť!“
19 (UKJV) And it came to pass, while Saul talked unto the priest, that the noise that was in the host of the Philistines went on and increased: and Saul said unto the priest, Withdraw your hand.

20 (HEM) ויזעק שאול וכל העם אשר אתו ויבאו עד המלחמה והנה היתה חרב איש ברעהו מהומה גדולה מאד׃
20 (KAT) Tu sa Šaul a všetok ľud, ktorý bol s ním, zhromaždil, došli až k bitke a hľa, meče mali obrátené vzájomne proti sebe vo veľmi veľkom zmätku!
20 (UKJV) And Saul and all the people that were with him assembled themselves, and they came to the battle: and, behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great discomfiture.

21 (HEM) והעברים היו לפלשתים כאתמול שלשום אשר עלו עמם במחנה סביב וגם המה להיות עם ישראל אשר עם שאול ויונתן׃
21 (KAT) Aj Hebrejci, ktorí už dávnejšie boli s Filištíncami a ktorí s nimi tiahli do poľa, sa obrátili a chceli byť s Izraelitmi, ktorí boli so Šaulom a Jonatánom.
21 (UKJV) Moreover the Hebrews that were with the Philistines before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also turned to be with the Israelites that were with Saul and Jonathan.

22 (HEM) וכל איש ישראל המתחבאים בהר אפרים שמעו כי נסו פלשתים וידבקו גם המה אחריהם במלחמה׃
22 (KAT) Aj všetci izraelskí mužovia, čo boli schovaní v Efraimskom pohorí, počuli, že sa Filištínci dali na útek, a zapojili sa do boja proti nim.
22 (UKJV) Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.

23 (HEM) ויושע יהוה ביום ההוא את ישראל והמלחמה עברה את בית און׃
23 (KAT) Tak Pán zachránil v ten deň Izrael. Boj sa však preniesol až k Bethavenu.
23 (UKJV) So the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over unto Bethaven.

24 (HEM) ואיש ישראל נגש ביום ההוא ויאל שאול את העם לאמר ארור האיש אשר יאכל לחם עד הערב ונקמתי מאיבי ולא טעם כל העם לחם׃
24 (KAT) V ten deň boli mužovia Izraela unavení, lebo Šaul zaprisahal ľud slovami: „Nech je prekliaty muž, ktorý by požil jedlo do večera, kým sa nevypomstí na svojich nepriateľoch!“ Preto nik z ľudu neokúsil jedla.
24 (UKJV) And the men of Israel were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eats any food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.

25 (HEM) וכל הארץ באו ביער ויהי דבש על פני השדה׃
25 (KAT) Tu prišiel všetok ľud k plástom; na poli bol med.
25 (UKJV) "And all they of the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground. "

26 (HEM) ויבא העם אל היער והנה הלך דבש ואין משיג ידו אל פיו כי ירא העם את השבעה׃
26 (KAT) Keď ľud došiel k plástom, tie pretekali medom, ale nebolo nikoho, kto by bol ruku zdvihol k ústam, lebo ľud sa bál prísahy.
26 (UKJV) "And when the people were come into the wood, behold, the honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the oath. "

27 (HEM) ויונתן לא שמע בהשביע אביו את העם וישלח את קצה המטה אשר בידו ויטבל אותה ביערת הדבש וישב ידו אל פיו ותראנה עיניו׃
27 (KAT) Lenže Jonatán nepočul, keď jeho otec zaprisahal ľud, preto vystrel koniec palice, ktorú mal v ruke, namočil ju do medového plásta, potom si obrátil ruku k ústam a rozsvietili sa mu oči.
27 (UKJV) "But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened. "

28 (HEM) ויען איש מהעם ויאמר השבע השביע אביך את העם לאמר ארור האיש אשר יאכל לחם היום ויעף העם׃
28 (KAT) Ktosi z ľudu ho však oslovil: „Tvoj otec prísne zaprisahal ľud slovami: Nech je prekliaty muž, ktorý dnes požije pokrm!“ Ľud však bol unavený.
28 (UKJV) Then answered one of the people, and said, Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man that eats any food this day. And the people were faint.

29 (HEM) ויאמר יונתן עכר אבי את הארץ ראו נא כי ארו עיני כי טעמתי מעט דבש הזה׃
29 (KAT) Jonatán odpovedal: „Môj otec vrhá krajinu do nešťastia, pozrite, rozsvietili sa mi oči, hoci som požil len trochu tohto medu.
29 (UKJV) Then said Jonathan, My father has troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.

30 (HEM) אף כי לוא אכל אכל היום העם משלל איביו אשר מצא כי עתה לא רבתה מכה בפלשתים׃
30 (KAT) O koľko viac, keby bol ľud dnes jedol z koristi svojich nepriateľov, ktorú našiel; nebola by teraz porážka Filištíncov väčšia?“
30 (UKJV) How much more, if lest by any means the people had eaten freely to day of the spoil of their enemies which they found? for had there not been now a much greater slaughter among the Philistines?

31 (HEM) ויכו ביום ההוא בפלשתים ממכמש אילנה ויעף העם מאד׃
31 (KAT) V ten deň teda porazili Filištíncov od Machmasu po Ajalon. Ale ľud sa veľmi unavil.
31 (UKJV) And they stroke the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people were very faint.

32 (HEM) ויעש העם אל שלל ויקחו צאן ובקר ובני בקר וישחטו ארצה ויאכל העם על הדם׃
32 (KAT) Preto sa ľud vrhol na korisť, zajali ovce, hovädá a teľce, zabíjali ich na zemi a ľud jedol aj s krvou.
32 (UKJV) And the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground: and the people did eat them with the blood.

33 (HEM) ויגידו לשאול לאמר הנה העם חטאים ליהוה לאכל על הדם ויאמר בגדתם גלו אלי היום אבן גדולה׃
33 (KAT) Oznámili to Šaulovi: „Hľa, ľud hreší proti Pánovi, lebo je s krvou!“ I povedal: „Zhrešili ste! Privaľte teraz ku mne veľký kameň!“
33 (UKJV) Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against the LORD, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, All of you have transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.

34 (HEM) ויאמר שאול פצו בעם ואמרתם להם הגישו אלי איש שורו ואיש שיהו ושחטתם בזה ואכלתם ולא תחטאו ליהוה לאכל אל הדם ויגשו כל העם איש שורו בידו הלילה וישחטו שם׃
34 (KAT) Potom Šaul povedal: „Zamiešajte sa medzi ľudí a povedzte im: Priveďte si každý ku mne svojho vola a svoju ovcu, zabíjajte na tomto (kameni) a tak jedzte! Nehrešte proti Pánovi, že jete s krvou!“ A všetok ľud privádzal, každý vola, ktorého mal poruke, a zabíjali tam až do noci.
34 (UKJV) "And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me here every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against the LORD in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there. "

35 (HEM) ויבן שאול מזבח ליהוה אתו החל לבנות מזבח ליהוה׃
35 (KAT) Šaul však postavil Pánovi oltár. To bol prvý oltár, ktorý postavil Pánovi.
35 (UKJV) And Saul built an altar unto the LORD: the same was the first altar that he built unto the LORD.

36 (HEM) ויאמר שאול נרדה אחרי פלשתים לילה ונבזה בהם עד אור הבקר ולא נשאר בהם איש ויאמרו כל הטוב בעיניך עשה ויאמר הכהן נקרבה הלם אל האלהים׃
36 (KAT) Potom Šaul povedal: „Poďme za Filištíncami v noci a spustošme ich, kým zasvitne ráno, aby z nich nezostal nik!“ Odpovedali: „Urob všetko, čo sa ti páči!“ Veľkňaz však povedal: „Pristúpme sem, k Bohu!“
36 (UKJV) And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and spoil them until the morning light, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatsoever seems good unto you. Then said the priest, Let us draw near here unto God.

37 (HEM) וישאל שאול באלהים הארד אחרי פלשתים התתנם ביד ישראל ולא ענהו ביום ההוא׃
37 (KAT) A Šaul sa radil Boha: „Mám prenasledovať Filištíncov? Vydáš ich do ruky Izraela?“ Ale v ten deň mu nedal odpoveď.
37 (UKJV) And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? will you deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.

38 (HEM) ויאמר שאול גשו הלם כל פנות העם ודעו וראו במה היתה החטאת הזאת היום׃
38 (KAT) Vtedy vravel Šaul: „Priblížte sa sem všetci pohlavári ľudu, skúmajte a pozrite sa, kto spáchal dnes tento hriech!
38 (UKJV) And Saul said, Draw all of you near here, all the chief of the people: and know and see wherein this sin has been this day.

39 (HEM) כי חי יהוה המושיע את ישראל כי אם ישנו ביונתן בני כי מות ימות ואין ענהו מכל העם׃
39 (KAT) Lebo na život Pána, záchrancu Izraela, ak sa to stalo hoci aj pre môjho syna Jonatána, určite zomrie.“ A z celého ľudu mu nik neodpovedal.
39 (UKJV) For, as the LORD lives, which saves Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him.

40 (HEM) ויאמר אל כל ישראל אתם תהיו לעבר אחד ואני ויונתן בני נהיה לעבר אחד ויאמרו העם אל שאול הטוב בעיניך עשה׃
40 (KAT) Nato vravel celému ľudu: „Vy buďte na jednej strane, ja však a môj syn Jonatán budeme na strane druhej.“ Ľud odpovedal Šaulovi: „Urob, čo sa ti páči!“
40 (UKJV) Then said he unto all Israel, Be all of you on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said unto Saul, Do what seems good unto you.

41 (HEM) ויאמר שאול אל יהוה אלהי ישראל הבה תמים וילכד יונתן ושאול והעם יצאו׃
41 (KAT) A Šaul hovoril Pánovi: „Bože Izraela, zjednaj právo!“ I zachytil sa Jonatán a Šaul, ľud však vyviazol.
41 (UKJV) Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped.

42 (HEM) ויאמר שאול הפילו ביני ובין יונתן בני וילכד יונתן׃
42 (KAT) Nato povedal Šaul: „Žrebujte medzi mnou a mojím synom Jonatánom!“ A zachytil sa Jonatán.
42 (UKJV) And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.

43 (HEM) ויאמר שאול אל יונתן הגידה לי מה עשיתה ויגד לו יונתן ויאמר טעם טעמתי בקצה המטה אשר בידי מעט דבש הנני אמות׃
43 (KAT) Šaul sa spýtal Jonatána: „Povedz mi, čo si urobil!“ Jonatán mu povedal: „Na konci palice, ktorú mám v ruke, okúsil som trochu medu. Tu som, nech zomriem!“
43 (UKJV) Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what you have done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in mine hand, and, lo, I must die.

44 (HEM) ויאמר שאול כה יעשה אלהים וכה יוסף כי מות תמות יונתן׃
44 (KAT) Šaul povedal: „Toto nech mi urobí Pán a toto nech mi dodá! Veru umrieš, Jonatán!“
44 (UKJV) And Saul answered, God do so and more also: for you shall surely die, Jonathan.

45 (HEM) ויאמר העם אל שאול היונתן ימות אשר עשה הישועה הגדולה הזאת בישראל חלילה חי יהוה אם יפל משערת ראשו ארצה כי עם אלהים עשה היום הזה ויפדו העם את יונתן ולא מת׃
45 (KAT) Ale ľud hovoril: „Nuž Jonatán má zomrieť, ktorý získal Izraelu toto veľké víťazstvo? Ani zďaleka! Ako žije Pán, ani vlások mu nepadne z hlavy na zem! Veď toto urobil dnes s Božou pomocou!“ A tak ľud vyslobodil Jonatána a nezomrel.
45 (UKJV) "And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who has wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the LORD lives, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he has wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not. "

46 (HEM) ויעל שאול מאחרי פלשתים ופלשתים הלכו למקומם׃
46 (KAT) A Šaul odišiel bez prenasledovania Filištíncov, takže sa Filištínci vrátili domov.
46 (UKJV) Then Saul went up from following the Philistines: and the Philistines went to their own place.

47 (HEM) ושאול לכד המלוכה על ישראל וילחם סביב בכל איביו במואב ובבני עמון ובאדום ובמלכי צובה ובפלשתים ובכל אשר יפנה ירשיע׃
47 (KAT) Keď sa Šaul ujal kráľovstva nad Izraelom, bojoval proti všetkým jeho okolitým nepriateľom, proti Moabu, proti Amončanom, proti Edomčanom, proti kráľom Soby a proti Filištíncom. A víťazil nad všetkými, proti ktorým sa obrátil.
47 (UKJV) So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and anywhere he turned himself, he vexed them.

48 (HEM) ויעש חיל ויך את עמלק ויצל את ישראל מיד שסהו׃
48 (KAT) Konal udatne, porazil Amalekitov a vyslobodil Izrael z ruky jeho ničiteľov.
48 (UKJV) And he gathered an host, and stroke the Amalekites, and delivered Israel out of the hands of them that spoiled them.

49 (HEM) ויהיו בני שאול יונתן וישוי ומלכי שוע ושם שתי בנתיו שם הבכירה מרב ושם הקטנה מיכל׃
49 (KAT) Šaulovi synovia boli Jonatán, Ješui a Melchisua. Mená jeho dvoch dcér boli: meno staršej Merob a meno mladšej Michol.
