1. kniha Samuelova

1 (HEM) ויעל נחש העמוני ויחן על יבש גלעד ויאמרו כל אנשי יביש אל נחש כרת לנו ברית ונעבדך׃
1 (KAT) Amončan Nachas vytiahol a obliehal Jábes v Galaáde. Tu všetci mužovia z Jábesu povedali Nachasovi: „Uzavri s nami zmluvu, budeme ti slúžiť!“
1 (UKJV) Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.

2 (HEM) ויאמר אליהם נחש העמוני בזאת אכרת לכם בנקור לכם כל עין ימין ושמתיה חרפה על כל ישראל׃
2 (KAT) Amončan Nachas im odpovedal: „Tak s vami uzavriem zmluvu, že každému z vás vylúpim pravé oko a urobím to na potupu celého Izraela.“
2 (UKJV) And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel.

3 (HEM) ויאמרו אליו זקני יביש הרף לנו שבעת ימים ונשלחה מלאכים בכל גבול ישראל ואם אין מושיע אתנו ויצאנו אליך׃
3 (KAT) Starší z Jábesu mu hovorili: „Daj nám sedem dní, pošleme poslov do všetkých krajov Izraela a ak nebude nikoho, kto by nás zachránil, poddáme sa ti!“
3 (UKJV) And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days' respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to you.

4 (HEM) ויבאו המלאכים גבעת שאול וידברו הדברים באזני העם וישאו כל העם את קולם ויבכו׃
4 (KAT) Poslovia potom išli do Šaulovej Gabay, rozpovedali vec tak, že to ľud počul, a všetok ľud pozdvihol hlas a plakal.
4 (UKJV) Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept.

5 (HEM) והנה שאול בא אחרי הבקר מן השדה ויאמר שאול מה לעם כי יבכו ויספרו לו את דברי אנשי יביש׃
5 (KAT) Vtom prichádzal z poľa Šaul, za volmi. Šaul sa opýtal: „Čo je ľuďom, že plačú?“ A rozpovedali mu položenie obyvateľov Jábesu.
5 (UKJV) "And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, What disturbs the people that they weep? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh. "

6 (HEM) ותצלח רוח אלהים על שאול בשמעו את הדברים האלה ויחר אפו מאד׃
6 (KAT) Keď počul tie slová, vnikol doň Pánov duch a veľmi sa rozhneval.
6 (UKJV) And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly.

7 (HEM) ויקח צמד בקר וינתחהו וישלח בכל גבול ישראל ביד המלאכים לאמר אשר איננו יצא אחרי שאול ואחר שמואל כה יעשה לבקרו ויפל פחד יהוה על העם ויצאו כאיש אחד׃
7 (KAT) Vzal záprah volov, rozsekal ich a po posloch rozposlal do všetkých krajov Izraela s odkazom: „Kto nepôjde za Šaulom a za Samuelom, toho dobytok pochodí takto!“ Vtedy na ľud padla Božia bázeň a vytiahli ako jeden muž.
7 (UKJV) And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever comes not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.

8 (HEM) ויפקדם בבזק ויהיו בני ישראל שלש מאות אלף ואיש יהודה שלשים אלף׃
8 (KAT) V Bezeku ich spočítal: synov Izraela bolo tristotisíc a mužov z Júdska tridsaťtisíc.
8 (UKJV) And when he numbered them in Bezek, the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.

9 (HEM) ויאמרו למלאכים הבאים כה תאמרון לאיש יביש גלעד מחר תהיה לכם תשועה בחם השמש ויבאו המלאכים ויגידו לאנשי יביש וישמחו׃
9 (KAT) Poslom však, ktorí prišli, vraveli: „Takto povedzte obyvateľom galaádskeho Jábesu: Zajtra, keď sa rozohreje slnko, príde vám záchrana.“ Poslovia išli a ohlásili to obyvateľom Jábesu, ktorí sa potešili.
9 (UKJV) "And they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall all of you say unto the men of Jabeshgilead, Tomorrow, by that time the sun be hot, all of you shall have help. And the messengers came and showed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad. "

10 (HEM) ויאמרו אנשי יביש מחר נצא אליכם ועשיתם לנו ככל הטוב בעיניכם׃
10 (KAT) Vtedy obyvatelia Jábesu povedali: „Zajtra sa vám poddáme, urobte s nami, čo sa vám bude páčiť.“
10 (UKJV) Therefore the men of Jabesh said, Tomorrow we will come out unto you, and all of you shall do with us all that seems good unto you.

11 (HEM) ויהי ממחרת וישם שאול את העם שלשה ראשים ויבאו בתוך המחנה באשמרת הבקר ויכו את עמון עד חם היום ויהי הנשארים ויפצו ולא נשארו בם שנים יחד׃
11 (KAT) Nasledujúceho dňa rozdelil Šaul ľud na tri oddiely, za rannej stráže vnikli do tábora a kým sa rozohrial deň, Amončanov porazil. Zvyšky rozprášili tak, že dvaja z nich nezostali pokope.
11 (UKJV) "And it was so on the next day, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together. "

12 (HEM) ויאמר העם אל שמואל מי האמר שאול ימלך עלינו תנו האנשים ונמיתם׃
12 (KAT) Vtedy hovoril ľud Samuelovi: „Ktorí sú to, čo vraveli: »Šaul má nad nami kraľovať?!« Dajte tých chlapov, zabijeme ich!“
12 (UKJV) And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death.

13 (HEM) ויאמר שאול לא יומת איש ביום הזה כי היום עשה יהוה תשועה בישראל׃
13 (KAT) Ale Šaul povedal: „Dnes nebude usmrtený nik, lebo dnes Pán zachránil Izrael.“
13 (UKJV) And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: in order to day the LORD has wrought salvation in Israel.

14 (HEM) ויאמר שמואל אל העם לכו ונלכה הגלגל ונחדש שם המלוכה׃
14 (KAT) Samuel povedal ľudu: „Poďte, pôjdeme do Galgaly a obnovíme tam kráľovstvo!“
14 (UKJV) Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.

15 (HEM) וילכו כל העם הגלגל וימלכו שם את שאול לפני יהוה בגלגל ויזבחו שם זבחים שלמים לפני יהוה וישמח שם שאול וכל אנשי ישראל עד מאד׃
15 (KAT) Všetok ľud išiel teda do Galgaly a tam, v Galgale, pred Pánovou tvárou ustanovili Šaula za kráľa. Obetovali tam niektoré obety a Šaul i všetci mužovia Izraela sa tam veľmi radovali.
15 (UKJV) "And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly. "
