1Sam 1, 1-28

1 (LS) Il y avait un homme de Ramathaïm-Tsophim, de la montagne d'Ephraïm, nommé Elkana, fils de Jeroham, fils d'Elihu, fils de Thohu, fils de Tsuph, Ephratien.
1 (UKJV) Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:

2 (LS) Il avait deux femmes, dont l'une s'appelait Anne, et l'autre Peninna; Peninna avait des enfants, mais Anne n'en avait point.
2 (UKJV) "And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. "

3 (LS) Chaque année, cet homme montait de sa ville à Silo, pour se prosterner devant l'Eternel des armées et pour lui offrir des sacrifices. Là se trouvaient les deux fils d'Eli, Hophni et Phinées, sacrificateurs de l'Eternel.
3 (UKJV) And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.

4 (LS) Le jour où Elkana offrait son sacrifice, il donnait des portions à Peninna, sa femme, et à tous les fils et à toutes les filles qu'il avait d'elle.
4 (UKJV) And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:

5 (LS) Mais il donnait à Anne une portion double; car il aimait Anne, que l'Eternel avait rendue stérile.
5 (UKJV) "But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb. "

6 (LS) Sa rivale lui prodiguait les mortifications, pour la porter à s'irriter de ce que l'Eternel l'avait rendue stérile.
6 (UKJV) And her adversary also provoked her sore, in order to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb.

7 (LS) Et toutes les années il en était ainsi. Chaque fois qu'Anne montait à la maison de l'Eternel, Peninna la mortifiait de la même manière. Alors elle pleurait et ne mangeait point.
7 (UKJV) "And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat. "

8 (LS) Elkana, son mari, lui disait: Anne, pourquoi pleures-tu, et ne manges-tu pas? pourquoi ton coeur est-il attristé? Est-ce que je ne vaux pas pour toi mieux que dix fils?
8 (UKJV) Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weep you? and why eat you not? and why is your heart grieved? am not I better to you than ten sons?

9 (LS) Anne se leva, après que l'on eut mangé et bu à Silo. Le sacrificateur Eli était assis sur un siège, près de l'un des poteaux du temple de l'Eternel.
9 (UKJV) So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.

10 (LS) Et, l'amertume dans l'âme, elle pria l'Eternel et versa des pleurs.
10 (UKJV) And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.

11 (LS) Elle fit un voeu, en disant: Eternel des armées! si tu daignes regarder l'affliction de ta servante, si tu te souviens de moi et n'oublies point ta servante, et si tu donnes à ta servante un enfant mâle, je le consacrerai à l'Eternel pour tous les jours de sa vie, et le rasoir ne passera point sur sa tête.
11 (UKJV) And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your handmaid, and remember me, and not forget your handmaid, but will give unto your handmaid a male child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

12 (LS) Comme elle restait longtemps en prière devant l'Eternel, Eli observa sa bouche.
12 (UKJV) And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth.

13 (LS) Anne parlait dans son coeur, et ne faisait que remuer les lèvres, mais on n'entendait point sa voix. Eli pensa qu'elle était ivre,
13 (UKJV) "Now Hannah, she spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. "

14 (LS) et il lui dit: Jusques à quand seras-tu dans l'ivresse? Fais passer ton vin.
14 (UKJV) And Eli said unto her, How long will you be drunken? put away your wine from you.

15 (LS) Anne répondit: Non, mon seigneur, je suis une femme qui souffre en son coeur, et je n'ai bu ni vin ni boisson enivrante; mais je répandais mon âme devant l'Eternel.
15 (UKJV) And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

16 (LS) Ne prends pas ta servante pour une femme pervertie, car c'est l'excès de ma douleur et de mon chagrin qui m'a fait parler jusqu'à présent.
16 (UKJV) Count not your handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken until now.

17 (LS) Eli reprit la parole, et dit: Va en paix, et que le Dieu d'Israël exauce la prière que tu lui as adressée!
17 (UKJV) Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant you your petition that you have asked of him.

18 (LS) Elle dit: Que ta servante trouve grâce à tes yeux! Et cette femme s'en alla. Elle mangea, et son visage ne fut plus le même.
18 (UKJV) And she said, Let your handmaid find grace in your sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.

19 (LS) Ils se levèrent de bon matin, et après s'être prosternés devant l'Eternel, ils s'en retournèrent et revinrent dans leur maison à Rama. Elkana connut Anne, sa femme, et l'Eternel se souvint d'elle.
19 (UKJV) "And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. "

20 (LS) Dans le cours de l'année, Anne devint enceinte, et elle enfanta un fils, qu'elle nomma Samuel, car, dit-elle, je l'ai demandé à l'Eternel.
20 (UKJV) Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

21 (LS) Son mari Elkana monta ensuite avec toute sa maison, pour offrir à l'Eternel le sacrifice annuel, et pour accomplir son voeu.
21 (UKJV) And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the LORD the yearly sacrifice, and his vow.

22 (LS) Mais Anne ne monta point, et elle dit à son mari: Lorsque l'enfant sera sevré, je le mènerai, afin qu'il soit présenté devant l'Eternel et qu'il reste là pour toujours.
22 (UKJV) "But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide for ever. "

23 (LS) Elkana, son mari, lui dit: Fais ce qui te semblera bon, attends de l'avoir sevré. Veuille seulement l'Eternel accomplir sa parole! Et la femme resta et allaita son fils, jusqu'à ce qu'elle le sevrât.
23 (UKJV) "And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seems you good; tarry until you have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him. "

24 (LS) Quand elle l'eut sevré, elle le fit monter avec elle, et prit trois taureaux, un épha de farine, et une outre de vin. Elle le mena dans la maison de l'Eternel à Silo: l'enfant était encore tout jeune.
24 (UKJV) And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young.

25 (LS) Ils égorgèrent les taureaux, et ils conduisirent l'enfant à Eli.
25 (UKJV) And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli.

26 (LS) Anne dit: Mon seigneur, pardon! aussi vrai que ton âme vit, mon seigneur, je suis cette femme qui me tenais ici près de toi pour prier l'Eternel.
26 (UKJV) And she said, Oh my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman that stood by you here, praying unto the LORD.

27 (LS) C'était pour cet enfant que je priais, et l'Eternel a exaucé la prière que je lui adressais.
27 (UKJV) "For this child I prayed; and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him: "

28 (LS) Aussi je veux le prêter à l'Eternel: il sera toute sa vie prêté à l'Eternel. Et ils se prosternèrent là devant l'Eternel.
28 (UKJV) "Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there. "

Verš 3

Chaque année, cet homme montait de sa ville à Silo, pour se prosterner devant l'Eternel des armées et pour lui offrir des sacrifices. Là se trouvaient les deux fils d'Eli, Hophni et Phinées, sacrificateurs de l'Eternel.

Ex 23:14 - Trois fois par année, tu célébreras des fêtes en mon honneur.

Dt 16:16 - Trois fois par année, tous les mâles d'entre vous se présenteront devant l'Eternel, ton Dieu, dans le lieu qu'il choisira: à la fête des pains sans levain, à la fête des semaines, et à la fête des tabernacles. On ne paraîtra point devant l'Eternel les mains vides.

Verš 8

Elkana, son mari, lui disait: Anne, pourquoi pleures-tu, et ne manges-tu pas? pourquoi ton coeur est-il attristé? Est-ce que je ne vaux pas pour toi mieux que dix fils?

Rút 4:15 - Cet enfant restaurera ton âme, et sera le soutien de ta vieillesse; car ta belle-fille, qui t'aime, l'a enfanté, elle qui vaut mieux pour toi que sept fils.

Verš 11

Elle fit un voeu, en disant: Eternel des armées! si tu daignes regarder l'affliction de ta servante, si tu te souviens de moi et n'oublies point ta servante, et si tu donnes à ta servante un enfant mâle, je le consacrerai à l'Eternel pour tous les jours de sa vie, et le rasoir ne passera point sur sa tête.

Sdc 13:5 - Car tu vas devenir enceinte et tu enfanteras un fils. Le rasoir ne passera point sur sa tête, parce que cet enfant sera consacré à Dieu dès le ventre de sa mère; et ce sera lui qui commencera à délivrer Israël de la main des Philistins.

Verš 15

Anne répondit: Non, mon seigneur, je suis une femme qui souffre en son coeur, et je n'ai bu ni vin ni boisson enivrante; mais je répandais mon âme devant l'Eternel.

Ž 62:8 - En tout temps, peuples, confiez-vous en lui, Répandez vos coeurs en sa présence! Dieu est notre refuge, -Pause.

Quand elle l'eut sevré, elle le fit monter avec elle, et prit trois taureaux, un épha de farine, et une outre de vin. Elle le mena dans la maison de l'Eternel à Silo: l'enfant était encore tout jeune.

Lk 2:41 - Les parents de Jésus allaient chaque année à Jérusalem, à la fête de Pâque.

1Sam 1,1 - Je viac miest, s ktorými stotožňujú Elkánovo bydlisko, Ramataim-Sofim. Najpravdepodobnejšie je to dnešné Bét-Rímá, vzdialené na 5 hodín od Lydy (Lydda, Diospolis, dnešný Lud). Toto mestečko leží na dvoch kopcoch a meno Ramataim skutočne znamená: "Dva kopce". – Elkána nebol Efraimec (Efratejec) rodom, nepochádzal z kmeňa Efraim, ale z kmeňa Lévi (porov. 1 Krn 6,12 n. a 6,18 n.). Volal sa Efratejec, lebo býval na území kmeňa Efraim, kde Jozue pridelil jeho rodu mestá (Joz 21,5.20). O Efraimskom pohorí pozri nižšie pozn. k 9,4.

1Sam 1,2 - Ako niektorí patriarchovia (Abrahám, Jakub) aj Elkána žil celkom dobromyseľne v mnohoženstve. Boh to ani v Starom zákone nikdy nepovolil, ani neschvaľoval, len trpel, hoci sa to priečilo jeho pôvodnému ustanoveniu (Gn 1,27 n. a 2,20 n.).

1Sam 1,3 - Vo Svätom písme prvý raz tu sa volá Boh Pánom zástupov, vojsk (sabaoth). Jeho vojská sú anjeli, nebeské telesá (hviezdy) a tiež vojská Izraelitov, ktoré chodili do boja pod jeho vedením. Šílo, dnešné Selím, je asi 5 hodín od Jeruzalema smerom k Sichemu, dnešnému Nablusu.

1Sam 1,9 - Čo je v zátvorkách, doplnili sme podľa LXX. – Anna išla do chrámu, kde býval Pán.

1Sam 1,11 - Samuel ako levita mal byť i tak v službe Pánovej, ale len od 25. alebo 30. roku do 50. Anna ho zasväcuje od útlej mladosti do smrti. Okrem toho sa zaväzuje, že jej syn bude nazirejcom (pozri Nm 6,2 n.).

1Sam 1,12-14 - Pri nedbalých kňazoch, ako boli synovia Héliho, častejšie mohlo sa prihodiť, že sa Izraeliti pri obetných hostinách podnapili.

1Sam 1,16 - Beliál (naničhodný) je diabol. Dcéra beliálova je naničhodnica, hriešnica.

1Sam 1,19 - Ráma je to isté mesto, ktoré sa v 1. verši volá Ramataim-Sofim.

1Sam 1,20 - Začiatok verša zneje v pôvodine doslovne: "A keď zbehli dni", t. j. "keď sa vrátili tie isté dni roka". – Meno Samuel znamená: Vyslyšal Boh.

1Sam 1,23 - U Izraelitov dojčili matky oveľa dlhšie než u nás (porov. napr. 2 Mach 7,27).

1Sam 1,24 - Podľa LXX vzali len jedného trojročného býčka (porov. v. 25), čo je pravdepodobnejšie. – Efa je asi 36 litrov. – Víno uschovávali v kožených mechoch. Všetky tieto veci potrebovali na obetu.
