1 (HEM) ובעז עלה השער וישב שם והנה הגאל עבר אשר דבר בעז ויאמר סורה שבה פה פלני אלמני ויסר וישב׃

2 (HEM) ויקח עשרה אנשים מזקני העיר ויאמר שבו פה וישבו׃

3 (UKJV) And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that has come again out of the country of Moab, sells a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's:

4 (HEM) ואני אמרתי אגלה אזנך לאמר קנה נגד הישבים ונגד זקני עמי אם תגאל גאל ואם לא יגאל הגידה לי ואדע כי אין זולתך לגאול ואנכי אחריך ויאמר אנכי אגאל׃
4 (KAT) Povedal som si, že ti to dám vedieť a poviem ti: Odkúp si ho v prítomnosti tých, čo tu sedia, a v prítomnosti starších môjho ľudu. Ak ho chceš odkúpiť, tak si ho odkúp! Ak ho kúpiť nemieniš, oznám mi to, lebo viem, že okrem teba niet iného, kto by ho mal odkúpiť. Ja nasledujem po tebe.“ On povedal: „Ja ho odkúpim.“
4 (UKJV) "And I thought to advertise you, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. 5 (HEM) ויאמר בעז ביום קנותך השדה מיד נעמי ומאת רות המואביה אשת המת קניתי להקים שם המת על נחלתו׃

6 (KAT) Príbuzný povedal: „Tak ho nemôžem odkúpiť, lebo by som si zničil svoj dedičný podiel. Odkúp si ty, čo som mal ja odkúpiť, lebo ja ho kúpiť nemôžem.“
6 (UKJV) "And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I ruin mine own inheritance: redeem you my right to yourself; for I cannot redeem it. "

7 (HEM) וזאת לפנים בישראל על הגאולה ועל התמורה לקים כל דבר שלף איש נעלו ונתן לרעהו וזאת התעודה בישראל׃

8 (HEM) ויאמר הגאל לבעז קנה לך וישלף נעלו׃

9 (KAT) Nato povedal Bóz starším (mesta) a všetkému ľudu: „Dnes ste mi svedkami, že som z Noeminých rúk kúpil všetko, čo patrilo Elimelechovi, aj všetko, čo patrilo Kiljonovi a Machlonovi.
9 (UKJV) And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, All of you are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi.

10 (HEM) וגם את רות המאביה אשת מחלון קניתי לי לאשה להקים שם המת על נחלתו ולא יכרת שם המת מעם אחיו ומשער מקומו עדים אתם היום׃
10 (KAT) Ale aj Machlonovu manželku, Moabku Rút, som získal za ženu, aby som zomrelému splodil potomka pre jeho dedičstvo, aby nebolo meno zosnulého vymazané spomedzi jeho bratov a z brán jeho (rodného) mesta.

11 (HEM) ויאמרו כל העם אשר בשער והזקנים עדים יתן יהוה את האשה הבאה אל ביתך כרחל וכלאה אשר בנו שתיהם את בית ישראל ועשה חיל באפרתה וקרא שם בבית לחם׃
11 (KAT) Vy ste toho dnes svedkami.“
11 (UKJV) And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do you worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:

12 (HEM) ויהי ביתך כבית פרץ אשר ילדה תמר ליהודה מן הזרע אשר יתן יהוה לך מן הנערה הזאת׃
12 (KAT) A všetok ľud, ktorý bol v bráne, aj starší (mesta) odpovedali: „Sme toho svedkami. Nech Pán urobí aj s touto ženou, ktorá vstúpi do tvojho domu, ako (urobil) s Ráchel a Liou, lebo ony dve zbudovali dom Izraelov. Nech si počína čnostne v Efrate, aby ti urobila meno v Betleheme. Tvoj dom nech je ako dom Fáresov, ktorého porodila Tamar Júdovi, zásluhou potomstva, ktoré ti dá Pán z tejto ženy.“
12 (UKJV) And let your house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give you of this young woman.

13 (HEM) ויקח בעז את רות ותהי לו לאשה ויבא אליה ויתן יהוה לה הריון ותלד בן׃
13 (KAT) Bóz si ju teda vzal a stala sa mu manželkou. Keď s ňou obcoval, Pán bol k nej dobrotivý, takže počala a porodila syna.
13 (UKJV) So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.

14 (HEM) ותאמרנה הנשים אל נעמי ברוך יהוה אשר לא השבית לך גאל היום ויקרא שמו בישראל׃
14 (KAT) Tu hovorili ženy k Noemi: „Nech je zvelebený Pán, ktorý ti dnes neodoprel ochrancu.
14 (UKJV) And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which has not left you this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.

15 (HEM) והיה לך למשיב נפש ולכלכל את שיבתך כי כלתך אשר אהבתך ילדתו אשר היא טובה לך משבעה בנים׃
15 (KAT) Nech sa jeho meno (pochvalne) uvádza v Izraeli! Nech ti je potešením duše a živiteľom v dňoch staroby. Porodila ti ho tvoja nevesta, ktorá ťa miluje. Ona ti je oveľa lepšia ako sedem synov.“
15 (UKJV) And he shall be unto you a restorer of your life, and a nourisher of your old age: for your daughter in law, which loves you, which is better to you than seven sons, has born him.

16 (HEM) ותקח נעמי את הילד ותשתהו בחיקה ותהי לו לאמנת׃

17 (HEM) ותקראנה לו השכנות שם לאמר ילד בן לנעמי ותקראנה שמו עובד הוא אבי ישי אבי דוד׃

17 (UKJV) "And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. "

18 (HEM) ואלה תולדות פרץ פרץ הוליד את חצרון׃
18 (KAT) Toto je Fáresov rodostrom: Fáres bol Ezronovým otcom,

19 (HEM) וחצרון הוליד את רם ורם הוליד את עמינדב׃

19 (UKJV) And Hezron brings forth Ram, and Ram brings forth Amminadab,

20 (HEM) ועמינדב הוליד את נחשון ונחשון הוליד את שלמה׃
20 (KAT) Aminadab bol Násonovým otcom, Náson bol Salmonovým otcom,
20 (UKJV) And Amminadab brings forth Nahshon, and Nahshon brings forth Salmon,

21 (HEM) ושלמון הוליד את בעז ובעז הוליד את עובד׃
21 (KAT) Salmon bol Bózovým otcom a Bóz bol Obedovým otcom.
21 (UKJV) And Salmon brings forth Boaz, and Boaz brings forth Obed,

22 (HEM) ועבד הוליד את ישי וישי הוליד את דוד׃
22 (KAT) Obed bol otcom Izaiho a Izai bol Dávidovým otcom.
22 (UKJV) And Obed brings forth Jesse, and Jesse brings forth David.
