Kniha proroka Barucha

1 (KJV) Put off, O Jerusalem, the garment of mourning and affliction, and put on the comeliness of the glory that cometh from God for ever.
1 (KAT) Vyzleč, Jeruzalem, rúcho smútku a nešťastia a odej sa ozdobou Božej slávy naveky!

2 (KJV) Cast about thee a double garment of the righteousness which cometh from God; and set a diadem on thine head of the glory of the Everlasting.
2 (KAT) Obleč si plášť spravodlivosti Boha, polož si na hlavu mitru slávy Večného!

3 (KJV) For God will shew thy brightness unto every country under heaven.
3 (KAT) Lebo Boh všetkému, čo je pod nebom, ukáže tvoju žiaru.

4 (KJV) For thy name shall be called of God for ever The peace of righteousness, and The glory of God's worship.
4 (KAT) Boh ti dá meno na večnosť: Pokoj spravodlivosti a Sláva bohabojnosti.

5 (KJV) Arise, O Jerusalem, and stand on high, and look about toward the east, and behold thy children gathered from the west unto the east by the word of the Holy One, rejoicing in the remembrance of God.
5 (KAT) Hor’ sa, Jeruzalem, zastaň si vysoko, pohliadni k východu, pozri si deti od západu slnka až na východ, zhromaždené slovom Svätého, tešiace sa, že Boh si na ne spomenul!

6 (KJV) For they departed from thee on foot, and were led away of their enemies: but God bringeth them unto thee exalted with glory, as children of the kingdom.
6 (KAT) Odišli od teba peši, vedení nepriateľmi, ale Boh ich k tebe privedie nesených so slávou sťa kráľovské deti.

7 (KJV) For God hath appointed that every high hill, and banks of long continuance, should be cast down, and valleys filled up, to make even the ground, that Israel may go safely in the glory of God,
7 (KAT) Pretože Boh rozkázal znížiť každý vysoký vrch a večné kopce a vyplniť trhliny na rovnú zem, aby Izrael bezpečne kráčal na Božiu slávu.

8 (KJV) Moreover even the woods and every sweetsmelling tree shall overshadow Israel by the commandment of God.
8 (KAT) Aj lesy, aj každý voňavý strom zatieňovali na Boží rozkaz Izrael.

9 (KJV) For God shall lead Israel with joy in the light of his glory with the mercy and righteousness that cometh from him. .
9 (KAT) Veď Boh privedie Izrael s rozkošou v žiare svojej slávy, s milosrdenstvom a spravodlivosťou, ktorú vlastní. Odpis listu zajatcom, ktorých mal babylonský kráľ Nabuchodonozor odviesť do Babylonu. Poslal ho Jeremiáš, aby im oznámil, čo mu naložil Boh.
