1 (KJV) And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.
1 (SVD) وعمل بنو اسرائيل الشر في عيني الرب فدفعهم الرب ليد مديان سبع سنين.
1 (B21) Synové Izraele však jednali v Hospodinových očích zle, a tak je Hospodin vydal do rukou Midiánu na sedm let.

2 (KJV) And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.
2 (SVD) فاعتزّت يد مديان على اسرائيل. بسبب المديانيين عمل بنو اسرائيل لانفسهم الكهوف التي في الجبال والمغاير والحصون.
2 (B21) Midiánci utlačovali Izrael tak krutě, že si Izraelci před nimi dělali úkryty v horách a jeskyních a opevňovali se na nepřístupných vrcholcích.

3 (KJV) And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
3 (SVD) واذا زرع اسرائيل كان يصعد المديانيون والعمالقة وبنو المشرق يصعدون عليهم
3 (B21) Kdykoli Izrael zasel, přitáhli Midiánci a Amalekovci s východními národy a přepadli jej.

4 (KJV) And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.
4 (SVD) وينزلون عليهم ويتلفون غلة الارض الى مجيئك الى غزة ولا يتركون لاسرائيل قوت الحياة ولا غنما ولا بقرا ولا حميرا.
4 (B21) Tábořili v zemi a pustošili úrodu až ke Gaze; nenechali Izraeli žádné živobytí - jedinou ovci, dobytče ani osla.

5 (KJV) For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
5 (SVD) لانهم كانوا يصعدون بمواشيهم وخيامهم ويجيئون كالجراد في الكثرة وليس لهم ولجمالهم عدد. ودخلوا الارض لكي يخربوها.
5 (B21) Přitáhli vždy se svými stády a stany, přicházelo jich jako kobylek, jich a jejich velbloudů bylo bezpočtu. Přicházeli, aby pustošili zem.

6 (KJV) And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.
6 (SVD) فذلّ اسرائيل جدا من قبل المديانيين. وصرخ بنو اسرائيل الى الرب
6 (B21) Midián Izraelce úplně zbědoval, a tak začali volat k Hospodinu.

7 (KJV) And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites,
7 (SVD) وكان لما صرخ بنو اسرائيل الى الرب بسبب المديانيين
7 (B21) Když tehdy synové Izraele kvůli Midiánu volali k Hospodinu,

8 (KJV) That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
8 (SVD) ان الرب ارسل رجلا نبيا الى بني اسرائيل فقال لهم. هكذا قال الرب اله اسرائيل. اني قد اصعدتكم من مصر اخرجتكم من بيت العبودية
8 (B21) poslal k nim Hospodin jednoho proroka. Ten jim řekl: "Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Já jsem vás vyvedl z Egypta, vytáhl jsem vás z domu otroctví.

9 (KJV) And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;
9 (SVD) وانقذتكم من يد المصريين ومن يد جميع مضايقيكم وطردتهم من امامكم واعطيتكم ارضهم.
9 (B21) Vytrhl jsem vás z ruky Egypťanů i z rukou všech, kdo vás trápili. Vyhnal jsem je před vámi a jejich zemi jsem dal vám.

10 (KJV) And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.
10 (SVD) وقلت لكم انا الرب الهكم. لا تخافوا آلهة الاموريين الذين انتم ساكنون ارضهم. ولم تسمعوا لصوتي
10 (B21) Tehdy jsem vám řekl: ‚Já jsem Hospodin, váš Bůh. Nesmíte ctít bohy Emorejců, v jejichž zemi bydlíte.' Ale neposlechli jste mě."

11 (KJV) And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi-ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
11 (SVD) وأتى ملاك الرب وجلس تحت البطمة التى في عفرة التي ليوآش الابيعزري. وابنه جدعون كان يخبط حنطة في المعصرة لكي يهربها من المديانيين.
11 (B21) Hospodinův anděl přišel a posadil se pod dubem v Ofře, patřící Joašovi Abiezerskému. Jeho syn Gedeon právě mlátil pšenici - ve vinném lisu, aby si toho Midiánci nevšimli.

12 (KJV) And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
12 (SVD) فظهر له ملاك الرب وقال له. الرب معك يا جبار البأس.
12 (B21) Hospodinův anděl se mu ukázal a řekl mu: "Hospodin s tebou, udatný hrdino!"

13 (KJV) And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
13 (SVD) فقال له جدعون اسألك يا سيدي اذا كان الرب معنا فلماذا اصابتنا كل هذه واين كل عجائبه التي اخبرنا بها آباؤنا قائلين ألم يصعدنا الرب من مصر. والآن قد رفضنا الرب وجعلنا في كف مديان.
13 (B21) Gedeon mu odpověděl: "Promiň, pane, ale jestli je Hospodin s námi, proč nás tohle všechno potkalo? Kde jsou všechny ty jeho divy, o kterých nám vyprávěli naši otcové? Prý: ‚Hospodin nás přece vyvedl z Egypta' - jenže teď nás Hospodin opustil a nechal nás v hrsti Midiánců!"

14 (KJV) And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
14 (SVD) التفت اليه الرب وقال اذهب بقوتك هذه وخلص اسرائيل من كفّ مديان. أما ارسلتك.
14 (B21) Tu se k němu Hospodin obrátil a pravil: "Jdi v této své síle a zachráníš Izrael z hrsti Midiánců. Já sám tě přece posílám!"

15 (KJV) And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
15 (SVD) فقال له اسألك يا سيدي بماذا اخلص اسرائيل. ها عشيرتي هي الذلّى في منسّى وانا الاصغر في بيت ابي.
15 (B21) On však namítl: "Promiň, Pane, ale jak mám zachránit Izrael? Můj rod je v Manasesovi nejubožejší a já sám jsem v rodném domě poslední."

16 (KJV) And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
16 (SVD) فقال له الرب اني اكون معك وستضرب المديانيين كرجل واحد.
16 (B21) "Ano, ale já budu s tebou, takže pobiješ Midiánce až do posledního," řekl mu na to Hospodin.

17 (KJV) And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.
17 (SVD) فقال له ان كنت قد وجدت نعمة في عينيك فاصنع لي علامة انك انت تكلمني.
17 (B21) "V tom případě mi prokaž laskavost," odpověděl Gedeon. "Dej mi prosím znamení, že se mnou mluvíš ty.

18 (KJV) Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.
18 (SVD) لا تبرح من ههنا حتى آتي اليك واخرج تقدمتي واضعها امامك. فقال اني ابقى حتى ترجع.
18 (B21) Neodcházej prosím odsud, dokud se k tobě nevrátím s darem, který ti přinesu." On odpověděl: "Počkám, dokud se nevrátíš."

19 (KJV) And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
19 (SVD) فدخل جدعون وعمل جدي معزى وايفة دقيق فطيرا. اما اللحم فوضعه في سل واما المرق فوضعه في قدر وخرج بها اليه الى تحت البطمة وقدّمها.
19 (B21) Gedeon šel domů a připravil kůzle a nekvašené chleby z jedné efy mouky. Maso vložil do koše, vývar nalil do hrnce, odnesl to pod ten dub a položil to před něj.

20 (KJV) And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
20 (SVD) فقال له ملاك الله خذ اللحم والفطير وضعهما على تلك الصخرة واسكب المرق. ففعل كذلك.
20 (B21) Hospodinův anděl mu řekl: "Vezmi maso a chleby a polož je zde na skálu. Vývar vylij." A když to Gedeon udělal,

21 (KJV) Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.
21 (SVD) فمدّ ملاك الرب طرف العكاز الذي بيده ومس اللحم والفطير فصعدت نار من الصخرة واكلت اللحم والفطير. وذهب ملاك الرب عن عينيه.
21 (B21) Hospodinův anděl zvedl hůl, kterou měl v ruce, a dotkl se jejím koncem masa a chlebů. Ze skály vyšlehl oheň a maso i chleby pohltil. Mezitím se mu Hospodinův anděl ztratil z očí.

22 (KJV) And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.
22 (SVD) فرأى جدعون انه ملاك الرب فقال جدعون آه يا سيدي الرب لاني قد رأيت ملاك الرب وجها لوجه.
22 (B21) Když si Gedeon uvědomil, že to byl Hospodinův anděl, vykřikl: "Ach, Pane můj, Hospodine! Vždyť já jsem tváří v tvář uviděl Hospodinova anděla!"

23 (KJV) And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.
23 (SVD) فقال له الرب السلام لك. لا تخف. لا تموت.
23 (B21) "Buď klidný," řekl mu Hospodin. "Neboj se, nezemřeš."

24 (KJV) Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.
24 (SVD) فبنى جدعون هناك مذبحا للرب ودعاه يهوه شلوم. الى هذا اليوم لم يزل في عفرة الابيعزريين
24 (B21) Gedeon tam proto postavil Hospodinu oltář a nazval jej "Hospodin je pokoj". Ten oltář je v abiezerské Ofře až dodnes.

25 (KJV) And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:
25 (SVD) وكان في تلك الليلة ان الرب قال له خذ ثور البقر الذي لابيك وثورا ثانيا ابن سبع سنين واهدم مذبح البعل الذي لابيك واقطع السارية التي عنده
25 (B21) Té noci mu Hospodin řekl: "Vezmi býka ze stáda svého otce, toho druhého býka, sedm let starého. Zboř Baalův oltář, jenž patří tvému otci, a ten Ašeřin kůl vedle něj pokácej.

26 (KJV) And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
26 (SVD) وابن مذبحا للرب الهك على راس هذا الحصن بترتيب وخذ الثور الثاني واصعد محرقة على حطب السارية التي تقطعها.
26 (B21) Na vrchu toho kopce pak postav řádný oltář Hospodinu, svému Bohu. Vezmi toho druhého býka a obětuj ho jako zápalnou oběť na dřevě z Ašeřina kůlu, který pokácíš."

27 (KJV) Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father's household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
27 (SVD) فاخذ جدعون عشرة رجال من عبيده وعمل كما كلّمه الرب. واذ كان يخاف من بيت ابيه واهل المدينة ان يعمل ذلك نهارا فعمله ليلا
27 (B21) Gedeon tedy vzal deset mužů ze svých služebníků a udělal, jak mu Hospodin řekl. Kvůli strachu z rodiny i kvůli lidem z města to ovšem neudělal ve dne, ale v noci.

28 (KJV) And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.
28 (SVD) فبكر اهل المدينة في الغد واذا بمذبح البعل قد هدم والسارية التي عنده قد قطعت والثور الثاني قد أصعد على المذبح الذي بني.
28 (B21) Ráno lidé ve městě vstali - a hle, Baalův oltář je stržen, Ašeřin kůl u něj pokácen a ten druhý býk spálen na postaveném oltáři!

29 (KJV) And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they inquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.
29 (SVD) فقال الواحد لصاحبه من عمل هذا الامر. فسألوا وبحثوا فقالوا ان جدعون بن يوآش قد فعل هذا الامر.
29 (B21) "Kdo to udělal?" ptali se jeden druhého. Pátrali a zjišťovali, až na to přišli: "Udělal to Gedeon, syn Joašův."

30 (KJV) Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.
30 (SVD) فقال اهل المدينة ليوآش اخرج ابنك لكي يموت لانه هدم مذبح البعل وقطع السارية التي عنده.
30 (B21) Lidé z města tedy řekli Joašovi: "Vyveď svého syna ven, ať zemře - za to, že strhl Baalův oltář a skácel Ašeřin kůl vedle něj!"

31 (KJV) And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.
31 (SVD) فقال يوآش لجميع القائمين عليه انتم تقاتلون للبعل ام انتم تخلصونه. من يقاتل له يقتل في هذا الصباح. ان كان الها فليقاتل لنفسه لان مذبحه قد هدم.
31 (B21) Joaš ale odpověděl zástupu kolem něj: "Co že vy chcete hájit Baala? Že byste ho vy mohli zachránit? Kdokoli ho bude hájit, do rána zemře! Je-li to bůh, ať se hájí sám, když mu někdo zboří oltář."

32 (KJV) Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.
32 (SVD) فدعاه في ذلك اليوم يربعل قائلا ليقاتله البعل لانه هدم مذبحه
32 (B21) Toho dne tedy Gedeon dostal jméno Jerub-baal, Ať se Baal hájí. Říkali totiž: "Ať se Baal proti němu hájí, když mu zbořil oltář!"

33 (KJV) Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.
33 (SVD) واجتمع جميع المديانيين والعمالقة وبني المشرق معا وعبروا ونزلوا في وادي يزرعيل.
33 (B21) Všichni Midiánci a Amalekovci se spojili s východními národy, překročili Jordán a utábořili se v údolí Jizreel.

34 (KJV) But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-ezer was gathered after him.
34 (SVD) ولبس روح الرب جدعون فضرب بالبوق فاجتمع ابيعزر وراءه.
34 (B21) Na Gedeona tehdy sestoupil Duch Hospodinův. Zatroubil na beraní roh a svolal Abiezerské k sobě.

35 (KJV) And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.
35 (SVD) وارسل رسلا الى جميع منسّى فاجتمع هو ايضا وراءه وارسل رسلا الى اشير وزبولون ونفتالي فصعدوا للقائهم.
35 (B21) Rozeslal posly po celém Manasesovi, aby se k němu přidali. Vyslal také posly k Ašerovi, Zabulonovi a Neftalímovi, aby jim i oni vytáhli vstříc.

36 (KJV) And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,
36 (SVD) وقال جدعون لله. ان كنت تخلص بيدي اسرائيل كما تكلمت
36 (B21) Gedeon pak Boha požádal: "Chceš opravdu skrze mě zachránit Izrael, jak jsi řekl?

37 (KJV) Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.
37 (SVD) فها اني واضع جزّة الصوف في البيدر فان كان طل على الجزّة وحدها وجفاف على الارض كلها علمت انك تخلص بيدي اسرائيل كما تكلمت.
37 (B21) Hle, pokládám zde na mlatu ovčí rouno. Bude-li rosa jen na rounu, a na zemi všude kolem sucho, poznám, že skrze mě zachráníš Izrael, jak jsi řekl."

38 (KJV) And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.
38 (SVD) وكان كذلك. فبكر في الغد وضغط الجزّة وعصر طلا من الجزّة ملء قصعة ماء.
38 (B21) A tak se stalo. Druhého dne, hned jak ráno vstal, stiskl rouno a vyždímal z něj rosu - plnou číši vody.

39 (KJV) And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.
39 (SVD) فقال جدعون لله لا يحم غضبك عليّ فاتكلم هذه المرة فقط. أمتحن هذه المرة فقط بالجزّة. فليكن جفاف في الجزّة وحدها وعلى كل الارض ليكن طل.
39 (B21) Gedeon pak Bohu řekl: "Nehněvej se na mě, když ještě jednou promluvím. Prosím, ať mohu to rouno zkusit ještě jednou. Ať je, prosím, sucho jenom na rounu, a na zemi všude kolem rosa."

40 (KJV) And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.
40 (SVD) ففعل الله كذلك في تلك الليلة. فكان جفاف في الجزّة وحدها وعلى الارض كلها كان طل
40 (B21) A Bůh to té noci udělal. Jedině na rounu bylo sucho, ale na zemi všude kolem rosa.
