1 (HEM) ואלה הגוים אשר הניח יהוה לנסות בם את ישראל את כל אשר לא ידעו את כל מלחמות כנען׃
1 (KAT) Toto sú národy, ktoré Pán ponechal, aby nimi skúšal Izrael - všetkých, ktorí nepoznali boje o Kanaán -,
1 (UKJV) "Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan; "

2 (HEM) רק למען דעת דרות בני ישראל ללמדם מלחמה רק אשר לפנים לא ידעום׃
2 (KAT) aby sa pokolenia Izraelových synov učili bojovať; išlo však len o tých, ktorí sa to predtým nenaučili.
2 (UKJV) "Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof; "

3 (HEM) חמשת סרני פלשתים וכל הכנעני והצידני והחוי ישב הר הלבנון מהר בעל חרמון עד לבוא חמת׃
3 (KAT) Je to päť filištínskych vodcov a všetci Kanaánčania, Sidončania a Hevejci, ktorí bývali na Libanonskom pohorí, od vrchu Bál-Hermon až tam, kde sa ide do Ematu.
3 (UKJV) Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.

4 (HEM) ויהיו לנסות בם את ישראל לדעת הישמעו את מצות יהוה אשר צוה את אבותם ביד משה׃
4 (KAT) Boli teda nato, aby nimi skúšal Izrael, aby zistil, či budú poslúchať Pánove príkazy, ktorými zaviazal ich otcov prostredníctvom Mojžiša.
4 (UKJV) And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

5 (HEM) ובני ישראל ישבו בקרב הכנעני החתי והאמרי והפרזי והחוי והיבוסי׃
5 (KAT) Izraelovi synovia bývali teda uprostred Kanaánčanov, Hetejcov, Amorejčanov, Ferezejcov, Hevejcov a Jebuzejcov,
5 (UKJV) And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:

6 (HEM) ויקחו את בנותיהם להם לנשים ואת בנותיהם נתנו לבניהם ויעבדו את אלהיהם׃
6 (KAT) brali si ich dcéry za manželky a svoje dcéry dávali ich synom. A slúžili ich bohom.
6 (UKJV) And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.

7 (HEM) ויעשו בני ישראל את הרע בעיני יהוה וישכחו את יהוה אלהיהם ויעבדו את הבעלים ואת האשרות׃
7 (KAT) Izraelovi synovia robili, čo je zlé v Pánových očiach. Zabúdali na Pána, svojho Boha, a slúžili bálom a ašerám.
7 (UKJV) And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgotten about the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.

8 (HEM) ויחר אף יהוה בישראל וימכרם ביד כושן רשעתים מלך ארם נהרים ויעבדו בני ישראל את כושן רשעתים שמנה שנים׃
8 (KAT) I vzbĺkol Pánov hnev proti Izraelitom a predal ich do ruky Chusana Rasataim, kráľa z Aram Naharajim. A Izraelovi synovia slúžili Chusanovi Rasataim osem rokov.
8 (UKJV) Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years.

9 (HEM) ויזעקו בני ישראל אל יהוה ויקם יהוה מושיע לבני ישראל ויושיעם את עתניאל בן קנז אחי כלב הקטן ממנו׃
9 (KAT) Tu volali Izraelovi synovia k Pánovi a Pán vzbudil Izraelovým synom osloboditeľa, ktorý ich vyslobodil, totiž Otoniela, syna Kenéza, mladšieho Kalebovho brata.
9 (UKJV) And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.

10 (HEM) ותהי עליו רוח יהוה וישפט את ישראל ויצא למלחמה ויתן יהוה בידו את כושן רשעתים מלך ארם ותעז ידו על כושן רשעתים׃
10 (KAT) Zostúpil na neho Pánov duch a súdil Izrael. Vytiahol do boja a Pán dal do jeho ruky Chusana Rasataim, kráľa z Aram Naharajim, a jeho ruka zosilnela proti Chusanovi Rasataim.
10 (UKJV) "And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim. "

11 (HEM) ותשקט הארץ ארבעים שנה וימת עתניאל בן קנז׃
11 (KAT) A krajina mala štyridsať rokov pokoj. Potom Kenézov syn Otoniel zomrel.
11 (UKJV) And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.

12 (HEM) ויספו בני ישראל לעשות הרע בעיני יהוה ויחזק יהוה את עגלון מלך מואב על ישראל על כי עשו את הרע בעיני יהוה׃
12 (KAT) Ale synovia Izraela opäť robili, čo sa nepáči Pánovi. Tu Pán dodal odvahy moabskému kráľovi Eglonovi proti Izraelitom, pretože robili, čo sa Pánovi nepáči.
12 (UKJV) And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.

13 (HEM) ויאסף אליו את בני עמון ועמלק וילך ויך את ישראל ויירשו את עיר התמרים׃
13 (KAT) Pribral si Amončanov a Amalekitov, potom vytiahol, porazil Izrael a zaujal Mesto paliem.
13 (UKJV) And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and stroke Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.

14 (HEM) ויעבדו בני ישראל את עגלון מלך מואב שמונה עשרה שנה׃
14 (KAT) Izraelovi synovia slúžili moabskému kráľovi Eglonovi osemnásť rokov.
14 (UKJV) So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.

15 (HEM) ויזעקו בני ישראל אל יהוה ויקם יהוה להם מושיע את אהוד בן גרא בן הימיני איש אטר יד ימינו וישלחו בני ישראל בידו מנחה לעגלון מלך מואב׃
15 (KAT) Tu volali Izraelovi synovia k Pánovi a Pán im vzbudil osloboditeľa, Gerovho syna Aoda, Benjamínovca, ľavorukého muža. Po ňom poslali Izraelovi synovia dary moabskému kráľovi Eglonovi.
15 (UKJV) But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.

16 (HEM) ויעש לו אהוד חרב ולה שני פיות גמד ארכה ויחגר אותה מתחת למדיו על ירך ימינו׃
16 (KAT) Aod si však zhotovil dvojsečný meč, na piaď dlhý, a pripásal si ho na pravý bok pod šaty.
16 (UKJV) "But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh. "

17 (HEM) ויקרב את המנחה לעגלון מלך מואב ועגלון איש בריא מאד׃
17 (KAT) Zaniesol teda moabskému kráľovi Eglonovi dary. - Eglon bol veľmi tučný muž. -
17 (UKJV) And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.

18 (HEM) ויהי כאשר כלה להקריב את המנחה וישלח את העם נשאי המנחה׃
18 (KAT) A keď už vybavil odovzdanie darov, prepustil ľudí, čo dary niesli
18 (UKJV) And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present.

19 (HEM) והוא שב מן הפסילים אשר את הגלגל ויאמר דבר סתר לי אליך המלך ויאמר הס ויצאו מעליו כל העמדים עליו׃
19 (KAT) - sám sa práve vrátil od modiel pri Galgale -, a povedal: „Kráľ, mám ti povedať jednu dôvernú vec!“ On povedal: „Ticho!“ Nato sa všetci, ktorí boli pri ňom, vzdialili.
19 (UKJV) But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto you, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.

20 (HEM) ואהוד בא אליו והוא ישב בעלית המקרה אשר לו לבדו ויאמר אהוד דבר אלהים לי אליך ויקם מעל הכסא׃
20 (KAT) Potom vyšiel Aod hore k nemu. Sedel totiž v hornej chladivej izbe, ktorá bola iba pre neho samého. A Aod povedal: „Mám pre teba Božie slovo!“ Tu on vstal zo svojho sedadla.
20 (UKJV) "And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto you. And he arose out of his seat. "

21 (HEM) וישלח אהוד את יד שמאלו ויקח את החרב מעל ירך ימינו ויתקעה בבטנו׃
21 (KAT) Vtom Aod vystrel ľavú ruku, uchopil meč z pravého boku a vrazil mu ho do brucha
21 (UKJV) And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:

22 (HEM) ויבא גם הנצב אחר הלהב ויסגר החלב בעד הלהב כי לא שלף החרב מבטנו ויצא הפרשדנה׃
22 (KAT) tak, že za mečom vnikla aj rukoväť a sadlo sa za mečom zavrelo, lebo nevytiahol meč z jeho brucha. Pritom vyšiel z neho výkal.
22 (UKJV) "And the handle also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out. "

23 (HEM) ויצא אהוד המסדרונה ויסגר דלתות העליה בעדו ונעל׃
23 (KAT) Potom vyšiel do letnej siene, zavrel za ním dvere hornej izby a zatiahol závoru.
23 (UKJV) Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlour upon him, and locked them.

24 (HEM) והוא יצא ועבדיו באו ויראו והנה דלתות העליה נעלות ויאמרו אך מסיך הוא את רגליו בחדר המקרה׃
24 (KAT) Len čo sa vzdialil, došli jeho služobníci. Keď sa pozreli a videli, že dvere hornej izby sú zamknuté, povedali si: „Isto si odbavuje potrebu v chladivej izbe.“
24 (UKJV) "When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covers his feet in his summer chamber. "

25 (HEM) ויחילו עד בוש והנה איננו פתח דלתות העליה ויקחו את המפתח ויפתחו והנה אדניהם נפל ארצה מת׃
25 (KAT) A vyčkávali až do omrzenia. Ale keď nik neotváral dvere hornej izby, vzali kľúč a otvorili a hľa, ich pán ležal mŕtvy na zemi.
25 (UKJV) "And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth. "

26 (HEM) ואהוד נמלט עד התמהמהם והוא עבר את הפסילים וימלט השעירתה׃
26 (KAT) Kým oni váhavo otáľali, Aod unikol. Prešiel (miesto) modiel a dostal sa do Seirata.
26 (UKJV) And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath.

27 (HEM) ויהי בבואו ויתקע בשופר בהר אפרים וירדו עמו בני ישראל מן ההר והוא לפניהם׃
27 (KAT) Len čo sa vrátil domov, zatrúbil na Efraimskom pohorí, Izraelovi synovia zostúpili s ním z pohoria a on na ich čele.
27 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.

28 (HEM) ויאמר אלהם רדפו אחרי כי נתן יהוה את איביכם את מואב בידכם וירדו אחריו וילכדו את מעברות הירדן למואב ולא נתנו איש לעבר׃
28 (KAT) Keď im zavelil: „Poďte za mnou, lebo Pán vydal vašich nepriateľov, Moabčanov, do vašej ruky“ - tiahli dolu za ním. Moabčanom zabrali jordánske brody a nedovolili nikomu prejsť.
28 (UKJV) And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD has delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.

29 (HEM) ויכו את מואב בעת ההיא כעשרת אלפים איש כל שמן וכל איש חיל ולא נמלט איש׃
29 (KAT) Vtedy pobili z Moabčanov na desaťtisíc mužov, všetko silných a udatných mužov; neutiekol nik.
29 (UKJV) "And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man. "

30 (HEM) ותכנע מואב ביום ההוא תחת יד ישראל ותשקט הארץ שמונים שנה׃
30 (KAT) Tak boli v ten deň Moabčania pokorení pod Izraelovu ruku. A krajina mala pokoj osemdesiat rokov.
30 (UKJV) So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.

31 (HEM) ואחריו היה שמגר בן ענת ויך את פלשתים שש מאות איש במלמד הבקר וישע גם הוא את ישראל׃
31 (KAT) Po ňom bol Anatov syn Samgar. On pobil voliarskou palicou šesťsto filištínskych mužov. Aj on oslobodil Izrael.
31 (UKJV) And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.
