Kniha Sudcov

1 (BKR) Nadto každý z mužů Izraelských přísahou se byli zavázali v Masfa, řkouce: Žádný z nás nedá dcery své Beniaminským za manželku.
1 (VUL) Iuraverunt autem filii Israel in Maspha et dixerunt: “ Nullus nostrum dabit filiis Beniamin de filiabus suis uxorem ”.
1 (KAT) Izraeliti zložili v Masfe prísahu: „Nik z nás nedá Benjamínovcovi svoju dcéru za manželku.“
1 (UKJV) Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpeh, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter unto Benjamin to wife.

2 (BKR) Protož všel lid do domu Boha silného, a seděli tam až do večera před Bohem, a pozdvihše hlasu svého, plakali pláčem velikým.
2 (VUL) Venitque populus in Bethel, et in conspectu Dei sedentes usque ad vesperam levaverunt vocem et magno ululatu coeperunt flere dicentes:
2 (KAT) Tu prišiel ľud do Betela a zdržali sa tam pred Pánom až do večera. I pozdvihli svoj hlas, začali hlasne plakať
2 (UKJV) "And the people came to the house of God, and abode there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore; "

3 (BKR) A řekli: Proč Hospodine, Bože Izraelský, stalo se toto v Izraeli, aby dnes ubylo jedno pokolení z Izraele?
3 (VUL) “ Quare, Domine, Deus Israel, factum est hoc in populo tuo, ut hodie una tribus auferretur de Israel? ”.
3 (KAT) a hovorili: „Prečo sa, Pane, Izraelov Bože, stalo v Izraeli to, že dnes chýba z Izraela jeden kmeň?“
3 (UKJV) And said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel?

4 (BKR) Nazejtří pak ráno vstal lid, a vzdělali tam oltář, a obětovali oběti zápalné a pokojné.
4 (VUL) Altera autem die diluculo consurgentes exstruxerunt altare obtuleruntque ibi holocausta et pacificas victimas
4 (KAT) Na druhý deň ľudia včasráno vstali, postavili tam oltár a obetovali zápalné a pokojné obety.
4 (UKJV) And it came to pass on the next day, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.

5 (BKR) Řekli pak synové Izraelští: Jest-li kdo, ješto nepřišel do shromáždění tohoto ze všech pokolení Izraelských k Hospodinu? (Nebo se byli velice zapřisáhli proti tomu, kdož by nepřišel k Hospodinu do Masfa, řkouce: Bez milosti ať umře.
5 (VUL) et dixerunt: “ Quis non ascendit in congregationem ad Dominum de universis tribubus Israel? ”. Grandi enim se iuramento constrinxerant interfici eos, qui non ascendissent ad Dominum in Maspha.
5 (KAT) A Izraelovi synovia sa pýtali: „Kto sa zo všetkých Izraelových kmeňov nedostavil na zhromaždenie k Pánovi?“ Lebo pod slávnostnou prísahou pohrozili každému, kto by sa nedostavil k Pánovi do Masfy: „Bude potrestaný smrťou!“
5 (UKJV) And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death.

6 (BKR) Nebo litujíce synové Izraelští Beniamina bratra svého, řekli: Dnes vyhlazeno jest jedno pokolení z Izraele.
6 (VUL) Ductique paenitentia filii Israel super fratre suo Beniamin coeperunt dicere: “ Ablata est hodie una tribus de Israel.
6 (KAT) Izraeliti teda žialili za svojím bratom Benjamínom a vraveli: „Teraz je odrezaný jeden kmeň z Izraela.
6 (UKJV) And the children of Israel repented them for Benjamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day.

7 (BKR) Jakž tedy učiníme s těmi ostatky, aby ženy měli, poněvadž jsme se přísahou zavázali skrze Hospodina, že jim nedáme dcer svých za manželky?)
7 (VUL) Quid faciemus, ut, qui remanserunt, uxores accipiant? Omnes enim in commune iuravimus per Dominum non daturos nos his filias nostras ”.
7 (KAT) Čo môžeme urobiť, aby pozostalí dostali ženy, keď sme sa zaprisahali na Pána, že im ani jednu z našich dcér nedáme za manželku.“
7 (UKJV) How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have sworn by the LORD that we will not give them of our daughters to wives?

8 (BKR) Řekli tedy: Jest-li kdo z pokolení Izraelských, ješto nepřišel k Hospodinu do Masfa? A aj, nepřišel byl žádný do vojska z Jábes Galád do shromáždění.
8 (VUL) Idcirco dixerunt: “ Quis est de universis tribubus Israel, qui non ascendit ad Dominum in Maspha? ”. Et ecce nemo de Iabes Galaad in castra venerat ad congregationem,
8 (KAT) Pýtali sa teda: „Nie je taký izraelský kmeň, ktorý by sa nebol dostavil k Pánovi do Masfy?“ A hľa, nik neprišiel na zhromaždenie do tábora z Jábesa Galaádskeho.
8 (UKJV) And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabeshgilead to the assembly.

9 (BKR) Nebo když sečten byl lid, a aj, nebylo tam žadného z obyvatelů Jábes Galád.
9 (VUL) et, cum populus recenseretur, nullus ex eis repertus est.
9 (KAT) Urobili totiž prehliadku ľudu a nebol tam nik z obyvateľov Jábesa Galaádskeho.
9 (UKJV) For the people were numbered, and, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead there.

10 (BKR) Protož poslalo tam shromáždění to dvanácte tisíc mužů nejsilnějších, a přikázali jim, řkouce: Jděte a pobíte obyvatele Jábes Galád ostrostí meče, ženy i děti.
10 (VUL) Misit itaque coetus decem milia viros robustissimos et praeceperunt eis: “ Ite et percutite habitatores Iabes Galaad in ore gladii tam uxores quam parvulos eorum.
10 (KAT) Nato tam zhromaždený zástup poslal dvanásťtisíc mužov z chrabrých oddielov a dal im rozkaz: „Choďte a pobite ostrím meča obyvateľov Jábesa Galaádskeho, aj ženy a deti!
10 (UKJV) And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiant, and commanded them, saying, Go and strike the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children.

11 (BKR) Toto pak učiníte: Všecky mužského pohlaví, a každou ženu, kteráž muže poznala, zamordujete.
11 (VUL) Et hoc erit, quod observare debetis: Omne generis masculini et mulieres, quae cognoverunt viros, interficite; virgines autem reservate ”.
11 (KAT) A budete si počínať takto: Vykonáte kliatbu na každom mužovi a na každej žene, ktorá už patrila mužovi.
11 (UKJV) And this is the thing that all of you shall do, All of you shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that has lain by man.

12 (BKR) Nalezli tedy mezi obyvateli Jábes Galád čtyři sta děveček panen, kteréž nepoznaly muže, a přivedli je do vojska v Sílo, kteréž bylo v zemi Kananejské.
12 (VUL) Inventaeque sunt de Iabes Galaad quadringentae virgines, quae nescierunt viri torum, et adduxerunt eas in castra in Silo in terra Chanaan.
12 (KAT) Medzi obyvateľmi Jábesa Galaádskeho nájdete štyristo panenských dievčat, ktoré ešte nikdy nepatrili mužovi, a privediete ich do tábora (v Šíle v krajine Kanaán).“
12 (UKJV) And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.

13 (BKR) Tedy poslalo všecko to shromáždění, a mluvili k synům Beniamin, kteříž byli v skále Remmon, a povolali jich v pokoji.
13 (VUL) Misitque coetus nuntios ad filios Beniamin, qui erant in petra Remmon, et dederunt eis pacem.
13 (KAT) A všetok zhromaždený zástup odkázal po posloch Benjamínovcom, ktorí sa zdržovali na skale Remon, že si želá s nimi pokoj.
13 (UKJV) And the whole congregation sent some to speak to the children of Benjamin that were in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them.

14 (BKR) Protož navrátili se Beniaminští toho času. I dali jim ženy, kteréž živé zachovali z žen Jábes Galád, ale ani tak se jim nedostávalo jich.
14 (VUL) Veneruntque filii Beniamin in illo tempore, et datae sunt eis uxores de filiabus Iabes Galaad; alias autem non reppererunt, quas simili modo traderent.
14 (KAT) Vtedy sa Benjamínovci vrátili. Dali im manželky, ktoré zostali nažive zo žien Jábesa Galaádskeho, ale nevystačovalo pre nich.
14 (UKJV) "And Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of Jabeshgilead: and yet so they sufficed them not. "

15 (BKR) Lidu pak líto bylo Beniamina, proto že učinil Hospodin mezeru v pokoleních Izraelských.
15 (VUL) Populusque valde doluit de Beniamin, quia fecerat Dominus confractionem in tribubus Israel.
15 (KAT) Ľudu však bolo Benjamínovcov ľúto, lebo Pán urobil trhlinu v Izraelových kmeňoch.
15 (UKJV) And the people repented them for Benjamin, because that the LORD had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.

16 (BKR) Řekli tedy starší shromáždění toho: Jak učiníme s těmi pozůstalými, aby měli ženy? Nebo vyhlazeny jsou ženy z pokolení Beniamin.
16 (VUL) Dixeruntque seniores coetus: “ Quid faciemus reliquis, qui non acceperunt uxores? Omnes in Beniamin feminae conciderunt ”.
16 (KAT) A starší zo zástupu sa pýtali: „Ako zaopatríme manželky tým ostatným? Lebo ženy z Benjamína zahynuli.“
16 (UKJV) Then the elders of the congregation said, How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are destroyed out of Benjamin?

17 (BKR) Řekli také: Dědictví Beniaminovo pozůstalým náleží, aby nezahynulo pokolení z Izraele.
17 (VUL) Et dixerunt: “ Possessio eorum, qui effugerunt, erit Beniamin, ne una tribus deleatur ex Israel.
17 (KAT) Vraveli: „Pozostalým Benjamínovcom zostane ich dedičný podiel. Ani jeden kmeň nesmie byť vyhubený z Izraela.
17 (UKJV) And they said, There must be an inheritance for them that be escaped of Benjamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel.

18 (BKR) My pak nemůžeme jim dáti dcer svých za manželky; (nebo se byli přísahou zavázali synové Izraelští, řkouce: Zlořečený buď, kdož by dal manželku synům Beniamin.)
18 (VUL) Filias autem nostras eis dare non possumus, constricti hoc iuramento: “Maledictus, qui dederit de filiabus suis uxorem Beniamin!” ”.
18 (KAT) My im však nemôžeme dať manželky z našich dcér, lebo Izraelovi synovia sa zaprisahali: »Nech je prekliaty, kto dá ženu Benjamínovcovi!«“
18 (UKJV) Nevertheless we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that gives a wife to Benjamin.

19 (BKR) Potom řekli: Aj, slavnost Hospodinova bývá v Sílo každého roku na místě, kteréž jest s půlnoční strany domu Boha silného, k východu slunce cestě, kterouž se chodí od domu Boha silného do Sichem, a Lebnu jest na poledne.
19 (VUL) Ceperuntque consilium atque dixerunt: “ Ecce sollemnitas Domini est in Silo anniversaria, quae sita est ad septentrionem urbis Bethel et ad orientalem plagam viae, quae de Bethel tendit ad Sichimam et ad meridiem oppidi Lebona ”.
19 (KAT) Vraveli: „Každoročne býva Pánova slávnosť v Šíle“ (ktoré leží severne od Betela, východne od cesty vedúcej z Betela do Sichemu a južne od Lebony).
19 (UKJV) Then they said, Behold, there is a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goes up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.

20 (BKR) Přikázali tedy synům Beniamin, řkouce: Jděte a skrejte se v vinicích.
20 (VUL) Praeceperuntque filiis Beniamin atque dixerunt: “Ite et latitate in vineis;
20 (KAT) A prikázali Benjamínovcom: „Choďte a ukryte sa vo vinohradoch!
20 (UKJV) "Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards; "

21 (BKR) A šetřte, a aj, když vyjdou dcery Sílo plésati v houfích, tedy vyskočíte z vinic a pochytíte sobě každý manželku svou ze dcer Sílo, a odejdete do země Beniamin.
21 (VUL) cumque videritis filias Silo ad ducendos choros ex more procedere, exite repente de vineis et rapite ex eis singuli uxores singulas et pergite in terram Beniamin ”.
21 (KAT) Potom dávajte pozor! A keď zbadáte, že šílske dcéry vychádzajú tancovať v chórovodoch, vyjdite z vinohradov, uchyťte si každý ženu zo šílskych dcér a odíďte do Benjamínovej krajiny.
21 (UKJV) And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come all of you out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.

22 (BKR) Když pak přijdou otcové jejich aneb bratří jejich, aby se před námi soudili, tedy řekneme jim: Slitujte se nad námi místo nich, nebo v té válce nevzali jsme pro každého z nich manželky; také jste vy jim nedali jich, a tak nebudete nic vinni.
22 (VUL) Cumque venerint patres earum ac fratres et apud nos queri coeperint, dicemus eis: “ Miseremini nostri et eorum; non enim acceperunt unusquisque uxorem in bello, et vos, si dedissetis eis, deliquissetis ”.
22 (KAT) Keď si k nám prídu ich otcovia alebo bratia sťažovať, povieme im: »Láskavo nám ich darujte, veď nik z nich nedostal ženu v boji. A vy ste im ich nedali. Inakšie by ste sa boli dopustili hriechu.«“
22 (UKJV) And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for all of you did not give unto them at this time, that all of you should be guilty.

23 (BKR) Tedy učinili tak synové Beniamin, a přivedli sobě manželky vedlé počtu svého z těch plésajících, kteréž uchvátili; a odšedše, navrátili se k dědictví svému, a vzdělavše zase města svá, bydlili v nich.
23 (VUL) Feceruntque filii Beniamin, ut sibi fuerat imperatum, et iuxta numerum suum rapuerunt sibi de his, quae ducebant choros, uxores singulas; abieruntque in possessionem suam aedificantes urbes et habitantes in eis.
23 (KAT) A Benjamínovci tak urobili. Vzali si toľko manželiek z tanečníc, ktoré ulúpili, koľko ich bolo. Potom sa vrátili do svojho dedičného podielu. Postavili si mestá a osadili sa v nich.
23 (UKJV) And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them.

24 (BKR) A tak odešli odtud synové Izraelští toho času, jeden každý k svému pokolení a k čeledi své; a vrátili se odtud jeden každý k dědictví svému.
24 (VUL) Filii quoque Israel reversi sunt inde illo tempore unusquisque ad tribum et familiam suam in possessionem suam.
24 (KAT) Tiež Izraeliti sa v tom čase vrátili odtiaľ, každý k svojmu kmeňu a k svojmu rodu. Každý sa pobral odtiaľ do svojho dedičného podielu.
24 (UKJV) And the children of Israel departed thence at that time, every man to his tribe and to his family, and they went out from thence every man to his inheritance.

25 (BKR) Těch dnů nebylo krále v Izraeli, ale každý, což se mu vidělo, to činil.
25 (VUL) In diebus illis non erat rex in Israel, sed unusquisque, quod sibi rectum videbatur, hoc faciebat.
25 (KAT) V tých dňoch nebolo v Izraeli kráľa. Každý si robil, čo sa mu páčilo.
25 (UKJV) In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
