1 (HEM) ויעל מלאך יהוה מן הגלגל אל הבכים ויאמר אעלה אתכם ממצרים ואביא אתכם אל הארץ אשר נשבעתי לאבתיכם ואמר לא אפר בריתי אתכם לעולם׃
1 (KAT) Pánov anjel prišiel z Galgaly hore do Bochima a povedal: „Vyviedol som vás z Egypta a priviedol som vás do krajiny, ktorú som pod prísahou sľúbil vašim otcom. Povedal som: »Nezruším svoju zmluvu s vami naveky!
1 (UKJV) "And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I swore unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. "

2 (HEM) ואתם לא תכרתו ברית ליושבי הארץ הזאת מזבחותיהם תתצון ולא שמעתם בקלי מה זאת עשיתם׃
2 (KAT) Ale ani vy nesmiete uzavierať nijakú zmluvu s obyvateľmi tejto krajiny. Ich oltáre zbúrate!« Ale vy ste neposlúchli môj hlas. Prečo ste to urobili?!
2 (UKJV) "And all of you shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; all of you shall throw down their altars: but all of you have not obeyed my voice: why have all of you done this? "

3 (HEM) וגם אמרתי לא אגרש אותם מפניכם והיו לכם לצדים ואלהיהם יהיו לכם למוקש׃
3 (KAT) Preto som sa tiež rozhodol: Nevyženiem ich pred vami. Ba čo viac, stanú sa vašimi odporcami a ich bohovia budú pre vás pascou.“
3 (UKJV) "Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. "

4 (HEM) ויהי כדבר מלאך יהוה את הדברים האלה אל כל בני ישראל וישאו העם את קולם ויבכו׃
4 (KAT) Keď Pánov anjel hovoril tieto slová všetkým Izraelovým synom, ľud sa dal do hlasitého plaču.
4 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spoke these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

5 (HEM) ויקראו שם המקום ההוא בכים ויזבחו שם ליהוה׃
5 (KAT) Preto nazvali to miesto Bochim (čiže Plačúci). A priniesli tam obetu Pánovi.
5 (UKJV) And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the LORD.

6 (HEM) וישלח יהושע את העם וילכו בני ישראל איש לנחלתו לרשת את הארץ׃
6 (KAT) Keď Jozue prepustil ľud, odišli Izraelovi synovia každý do svojho dedičného podielu, aby zaujali krajinu.
6 (UKJV) And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.

7 (HEM) ויעבדו העם את יהוה כל ימי יהושע וכל ימי הזקנים אשר האריכו ימים אחרי יהושוע אשר ראו את כל מעשה יהוה הגדול אשר עשה לישראל׃
7 (KAT) Ľud slúžil Pánovi po všetky Jozueho dni a po všetky dni starších, ktorí ešte dlho žili po Jozuem a tiež videli veľké Pánove skutky, ktoré on vykonal pre Izrael.
7 (UKJV) And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.

8 (HEM) וימת יהושע בן נון עבד יהוה בן מאה ועשר שנים׃
8 (KAT) A Nunov syn Jozue, Pánov služobník, zomrel vo veku stodesať rokov.
8 (UKJV) And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.

9 (HEM) ויקברו אותו בגבול נחלתו בתמנת חרס בהר אפרים מצפון להר געש׃
9 (KAT) Pochovali ho na území jeho dedičného podielu v Tamnatsare na Efraimskej vrchovine, severne od vrchu Gás.
9 (UKJV) And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.

10 (HEM) וגם כל הדור ההוא נאספו אל אבותיו ויקם דור אחר אחריהם אשר לא ידעו את יהוה וגם את המעשה אשר עשה לישראל׃
10 (KAT) Ale celé toto pokolenie sa zhromaždilo k svojim otcom. Po nich povstalo iné pokolenie, ktoré už nepoznalo ani Pána, ani jeho skutky, ktoré vykonal kvôli Izraelovi.
10 (UKJV) And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

11 (HEM) ויעשו בני ישראל את הרע בעיני יהוה ויעבדו את הבעלים׃
11 (KAT) Izraelovi synovia robili, čo je zlé v Pánových očiach, a slúžili bálom.
11 (UKJV) And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:

12 (HEM) ויעזבו את יהוה אלהי אבותם המוציא אותם מארץ מצרים וילכו אחרי אלהים אחרים מאלהי העמים אשר סביבותיהם וישתחוו להם ויכעסו את יהוה׃
12 (KAT) Opustili Pána, Boha svojich otcov, ktorý ich vyviedol z krajiny Egypťanov. Chodili za inými bohmi - za bohmi národov, ktoré boli okolo nich - a klaňali sa im a tak dráždili Pána.
12 (UKJV) And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.

13 (HEM) ויעזבו את יהוה ויעבדו לבעל ולעשתרות׃
13 (KAT) Opustili totiž Pána a slúžili Bálovi a aštartám.
13 (UKJV) And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

14 (HEM) ויחר אף יהוה בישראל ויתנם ביד שסים וישסו אותם וימכרם ביד אויביהם מסביב ולא יכלו עוד לעמד לפני אויביהם׃
14 (KAT) Tu vzbĺkol Pánov hnev proti Izraelitom a vydal ich do ruky lupičov, ktorí ich drancovali. Predal ich do ruky okolitých nepriateľov, takže už nemohli odolať svojim nepriateľom.
14 (UKJV) And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

15 (HEM) בכל אשר יצאו יד יהוה היתה בם לרעה כאשר דבר יהוה וכאשר נשבע יהוה להם ויצר להם מאד׃
15 (KAT) Kedykoľvek vytiahli, Pánova ruka bola proti nim na ich nešťastie, ako povedal Pán a ako im Pán prisahal. Keď sa im už veľmi zle vodilo,
15 (UKJV) Anywhere they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.

16 (HEM) ויקם יהוה שפטים ויושיעום מיד שסיהם׃
16 (KAT) vzbudzoval Pán sudcov, ktorí ich vyslobodzovali z ruky lúpežníkov.
16 (UKJV) Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.

17 (HEM) וגם אל שפטיהם לא שמעו כי זנו אחרי אלהים אחרים וישתחוו להם סרו מהר מן הדרך אשר הלכו אבותם לשמע מצות יהוה לא עשו כן׃
17 (KAT) Lenže svojich sudcov tiež neposlúchali. Ba čo viac, prznili sa s inými bohmi a klaňali sa im. Rýchle zišli z cesty, po ktorej chodili ich otcovia, ktorí poslúchali Pánove príkazy. Nepočínali si tak.
17 (UKJV) "And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so. "

18 (HEM) וכי הקים יהוה להם שפטים והיה יהוה עם השפט והושיעם מיד איביהם כל ימי השופט כי ינחם יהוה מנאקתם מפני לחציהם ודחקיהם׃
18 (KAT) Keď im Pán vzbudzoval sudcov, vtedy Pán bol so sudcom a vyslobodzoval ich z ruky nepriateľov, pokým sudca žil. Lebo Pána pohli ich vzdychy pod sužovateľmi a utláčateľmi.
18 (UKJV) And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.

19 (HEM) והיה במות השופט ישבו והשחיתו מאבותם ללכת אחרי אלהים אחרים לעבדם ולהשתחות להם לא הפילו ממעלליהם ומדרכם הקשה׃
19 (KAT) Ale keď sudca zomrel, opäť sa vracali a stávali sa horšími než ich otcovia, lebo chodili za cudzími bohmi, slúžili im a klaňali sa im. Nezanechali svoje počínanie a tvrdošijné konanie.
19 (UKJV) "And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way. "

20 (HEM) ויחר אף יהוה בישראל ויאמר יען אשר עברו הגוי הזה את בריתי אשר צויתי את אבותם ולא שמעו לקולי׃
20 (KAT) Tu vzbĺkol Pánov hnev proti Izraelu a povedal: „Pretože tento národ porušil moju zmluvu, ku ktorej som zaviazal ich otcov, a neposlúchol môj hlas,
20 (UKJV) "And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people has transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; "

21 (HEM) גם אני לא אוסיף להוריש איש מפניהם מן הגוים אשר עזב יהושע וימת׃
21 (KAT) tak ani ja už nechcem vypudiť pred nimi ani jeden z tých národov, ktoré zanechal Jozue, keď umrel.
21 (UKJV) I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:

22 (HEM) למען נסות בם את ישראל השמרים הם את דרך יהוה ללכת בם כאשר שמרו אבותם אם לא׃
22 (KAT) A to preto, aby som nimi vyskúšal Izraelitov, či sa budú pridržiavať Pánovej cesty a chodiť po nej, ako to robili ich otcovia, alebo nie.“
22 (UKJV) That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.

23 (HEM) וינח יהוה את הגוים האלה לבלתי הורישם מהר ולא נתנם ביד יהושע׃
23 (KAT) Preto teda Pán ponechal tie národy, nevypudil ich hneď a nedal ich do ruky Jozueho.
23 (UKJV) "Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua. "
