1 (KJV) And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehemjudah.
1 (SVD) وفي تلك الايام حين لم يكن ملك في اسرائيل كان رجل لاوي متغربا في عقاب جبل افرايم. فاتخذ له امرأة سرية من بيت لحم يهوذا.
1 (B21) Izrael byl tenkrát bez krále. Hluboko v Efraimských horách bydlel jeden levita. Našel si družku z judského Betléma,

2 (KJV) And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father's house to Bethlehemjudah, and was there four whole months.
2 (SVD) فزنت عليه سريته وذهبت من عنده الى بيت ابيها في بيت لحم يهوذا وكانت هناك اياما اربعة اشهر.
2 (B21) ale ta se s ním pohádala a odešla od něj do domu svého otce v judském Betlémě. Když už tam byla nějaké čtyři měsíce,

3 (KJV) And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father's house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him.
3 (SVD) فقام رجلها وسار وراءها ليطيّب قلبها ويردّها ومعه غلامه وحماران. فادخلته بيت ابيها. فلما رآه ابو الفتاة فرح بلقائه.
3 (B21) její muž se rozhodl, že půjde za ní, vlídně s ní promluví a přivede ji zpět. Měl s sebou svého mládence a pár oslů. Ta dívka ho pozvala dál, a když ho její otec uviděl, radostně ho uvítal.

4 (KJV) And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.
4 (SVD) وامسكه حموه ابو الفتاة فمكث معه ثلاثة ايام فأكلوا وشربوا وباتوا هناك.
4 (B21) Jeho tchán, dívčin otec, ho zdržoval, takže u něj zůstal tři dny. Jedli tam, pili a nocovali.

5 (KJV) And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way.
5 (SVD) وكان في اليوم الرابع انهم بكروا صباحا وقام للذهاب. فقال ابو الفتاة لصهره اسند قلبك بكسرة خبز وبعد تذهبون.
5 (B21) Čtvrtého dne ráno si přivstali a zeť se zvedal, že už půjde. Dívčin otec mu ale řekl: "Posilni se trochou jídla, než půjdete."

6 (KJV) And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.
6 (SVD) فجلسا وأكلا كلاهما معا وشربا. وقال ابو الفتاة للرجل ارتض وبتّ وليطب قلبك.
6 (B21) A tak se posadili a oba spolu jedli a pili. Potom mu dívčin otec řekl: "Prosím, laskavě tu ještě přespi a pohov si."

7 (KJV) And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.
7 (SVD) ولما قام الرجل للذهاب الحّ عليه حموه فعاد وبات هناك.
7 (B21) On už se zvedal, že půjde, ale tchán na něj naléhal, takže tam znovu zůstal na noc.

8 (KJV) And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart: and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.
8 (SVD) ثم بكر في الغد في اليوم الخامس للذهاب فقال ابو الفتاة اسند قلبك. وتوانوا حتى يميل النهار. واكلا كلاهما.
8 (B21) Ráno pátého dne si přivstal, že půjde. Dívčin otec mu ale řekl: "Prosím, pořádně se posilni." A než oba pojedli, zdrželi se až do odpoledne.

9 (KJV) And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.
9 (SVD) ثم قام الرجل للذهاب هو وسريته وغلامه فقال له حموه ابو الفتاة ان النهار قد مال الى الغروب. بيتوا الآن. هوذا آخر النهار. بتّ هنا وليطب قلبك وغدا تبكرون في طريقكم وتذهب الى خيمتك.
9 (B21) Tehdy muž vstal, že se svou družkou a mládencem půjdou. Dívčin otec, jeho tchán, mu ale řekl: "Podívej se, den už se chýlí k večeru. Zůstaňte prosím na noc. Vždyť už se smráká. Přespi tu a pohov si. Zítra si přivstanete, vydáte se na cestu a dorazíte domů."

10 (KJV) But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were with him two asses saddled, his concubine also was with him.
10 (SVD) فلم يرد الرجل ان يبيت بل قام وذهب وجاء الى مقابل يبوس. هي اورشليم. ومعه حماران مشدودان وسريته معه
10 (B21) On už tam ale nehodlal strávit další noc, a tak se zvedl a se svým párem oslů v postrojích a se svou družkou vyrazil k Jebusu (což je Jeruzalém).

11 (KJV) And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent; and the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray thee, and let us turn in into this city of the Jebusites, and lodge in it.
11 (SVD) وفيما هم عند يبوس والنهار قد انحدر جدا قال الغلام لسيده تعال نميل الى مدينة اليبوسيين هذه ونبيت فيها.
11 (B21) Když míjeli Jebus, bylo už dost pozdě. Mládenec proto svému pánu řekl: "Pojď, prosím, odbočme do toho jebusejského města a přenocujme tam."

12 (KJV) And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.
12 (SVD) فقال له سيده لا نميل الى مدينة غريبة حيث ليس احد من بني اسرائيل هنا. نعبر الى جبعة.
12 (B21) Jeho pán mu odpověděl: "Nepůjdeme do cizího města, které nepatří Izraelcům. Budeme pokračovat do Gibeje.

13 (KJV) And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in Gibeah, or in Ramah.
13 (SVD) وقال لغلامه تعال نتقدم الى احد الاماكن ونبيت في جبعة او في الرامة.
13 (B21) Pojď," pobídl mládence, "dojdeme do Gibeje nebo až do Rámy. V jednom z těch měst přespíme."

14 (KJV) And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongeth to Benjamin.
14 (SVD) فعبروا وذهبوا وغابت لهم الشمس عند جبعة التي لبنيامين.
14 (B21) A tak šli dál. Když přicházeli k benjamínské Gibeji, slunce už zapadalo,

15 (KJV) And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.
15 (SVD) فمالوا الى هناك لكي يدخلوا ويبيتوا في جبعة. فدخل وجلس في ساحة المدينة ولم يضمّهم احد الى بيته للمبيت.
15 (B21) a tak odbočili, aby tam přenocovali. Když levita vešel do Gibeje, posadil se na městském prostranství, ale nikdo je na noc nepozval k sobě domů.

16 (KJV) And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.
16 (SVD) واذا برجل شيخ جاء من شغله من الحقل عند المساء. والرجل من جبل افرايم وهو غريب في جبعة ورجال المكان بنيامينيون.
16 (B21) A hle, jeden stařík se večer vracel z práce na poli. Pocházel z Efraimských hor a v Gibeji bydlel jako přistěhovalec (místní totiž byli Benjamínci).

17 (KJV) And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou?
17 (SVD) فرفع عينيه ورأى الرجل المسافر في ساحة المدينة فقال الرجل الشيخ الى اين تذهب ومن اين اتيت.
17 (B21) Když se rozhlédl, uviděl na městském prostranství pocestného. "Kam jdeš a odkud přicházíš?" zeptal se stařík.

18 (KJV) And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receiveth me to house.
18 (SVD) فقال له نحن عابرون من بيت لحم يهوذا الى عقاب جبل افرايم. انا من هناك وقد ذهبت الى بيت لحم يهوذا وانا ذاهب الى بيت الرب وليس احد يضّمني الى البيت.
18 (B21) "Jsme na cestě z judského Betléma hluboko do Efraimských hor, odkud pocházím," odpověděl mu. "Šel jsem do judského Betléma a teď se vracím domů. Nikdo mě ale k sobě nepozval.

19 (KJV) Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing.
19 (SVD) وايضا عندنا تبن وعلف لحميرنا وايضا خبز وخمر لي ولامتك وللغلام الذي مع عبيدك. ليس احتياج الى شيء.
19 (B21) Máme slámu i obrok pro své osly, mám i chléb a víno pro sebe, zde pro tvou služebnici i pro mládence, který tvého služebníka provází. Nic víc nepotřebujeme."

20 (KJV) And the old man said, Peace be with thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street.
20 (SVD) فقال الرجل الشيخ السلام لك. انما كل احتياجك عليّ ولكن لا تبت في الساحة.
20 (B21) "Buď vítán," řekl mu stařík. "Postarám se o všechno, co potřebuješ. Jen prosím nenocuj tady venku."

21 (KJV) So he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.
21 (SVD) وجاء به الى بيته وعلف حميرهم فغسلوا ارجلهم وأكلوا وشربوا
21 (B21) Vzal je k sobě domů, nasypal oslům, umyli si nohy a pak jedli a pili.

22 (KJV) Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.
22 (SVD) وفيما هم يطيبون قلوبهم اذا برجال المدينة رجال بني بليعال احاطوا بالبيت قارعين الباب وكلموا الرجل صاحب البيت الشيخ قائلين اخرج الرجل الذي دخل بيتك فنعرفه.
22 (B21) A jak si tak hověli, náhle dům obstoupili místní ničemové. Začali tlouct do dveří a křičet na starého hospodáře: "Vyveď toho mužského, co přišel k tobě domů, ať si ho užijeme!"

23 (KJV) And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.
23 (SVD) فخرج اليهم الرجل صاحب البيت وقال لهم لا يا اخوتي لا تفعلوا شرا. بعدما دخل هذا الرجل بيتي لا تفعلوا هذه القباحة.
23 (B21) Hospodář k nim vyšel ven se slovy: "To ne, bratři! Nedělejte prosím nic zlého! Ten muž je přece mým hostem! Neprovádějte takovou hanebnost.

24 (KJV) Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.
24 (SVD) هوذا ابنتي العذراء وسريته دعوني اخرجهما فاذلوهما وافعلوا بهما ما يحسن في اعينكم واما هذا الرجل فلا تعملوا به هذا الامر القبيح.
24 (B21) Je tu má dcera, ještě panna, a také jeho družka. Hned je vyvedu! Zneuctěte je, udělejte s nimi, co se vám zlíbí. Jen ale neprovádějte žádnou hanebnost tomu muži!"

25 (KJV) But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.
25 (SVD) فلم يرد الرجال ان يسمعوا له. فامسك الرجل سريته واخرجها اليهم خارجا فعرفوها وتعللوا بها الليل كله الى الصباح وعند طلوع الفجر اطلقوها.
25 (B21) Nemínili ho však poslouchat. Levita nakonec vzal svou družku a vystrčil ji k nim ven. Znásilňovali ji a týrali celou noc až do rána. Pustili ji, až když začalo svítat.

26 (KJV) Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.
26 (SVD) فجاءت المرأة عند اقبال الصباح وسقطت عند باب بيت الرجل حيث سيدها هناك الى الضوء.
26 (B21) Nad ránem se žena vrátila. Až do rozednění zůstala ležet u dveří domu, kde byl její pán.

27 (KJV) And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold.
27 (SVD) فقام سيدها في الصباح وفتح ابواب البيت وخرج للذهاب في طريقه واذا بالمرأة سريته ساقطة على باب البيت ويداها على العتبة.
27 (B21) Její pán ráno vstal, otevřel dveře domu, aby vyrazil na cestu, a hle - jeho družka leží u dveří domu s rukama na prahu.

28 (KJV) And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.
28 (SVD) فقال لها قومي نذهب. فلم يكن مجيب. فأخذها على الحمار وقام الرجل وذهب الى مكانه.
28 (B21) "Vstávej," řekl jí, "jdeme." Žádná odpověď. Naložil ji tedy na osla, sebral se a šel domů.

29 (KJV) And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.
29 (SVD) ودخل بيته واخذ السكين وامسك سريته وقطعها مع عظامها الى اثنتي عشرة قطعة وارسلها الى جميع تخوم اسرائيل.
29 (B21) Když dorazil domů, vzal nůž a rozřezal svou družku i s kostmi na dvanáct kusů. Ty pak rozeslal po všech končinách Izraele.

30 (KJV) And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds.
30 (SVD) وكل من رأى قال لم يكن ولم ير مثل هذا من يوم صعود بني اسرائيل من ارض مصر الى هذا اليوم. تبصّروا فيه وتشاوروا وتكلموا
30 (B21) Kdokoli to spatřil, říkal: "Něco tak neslýchaného se nestalo ode dne, kdy Izraelci vyšli z Egypta. Přemýšlejte! Poraďte se! Udělejte něco!"
