1 (UKJV) "But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in. "
1 (HEM) ויהי מימים בימי קציר חטים ויפקד שמשון את אשתו בגדי עזים ויאמר אבאה אל אשתי החדרה ולא נתנו אביה לבוא׃
1 (KAT) Po nejakom čase, v dňoch pšeničnej žatvy, chcel Samson navštíviť svoju manželku a priniesol jej kozliatko. Keď spomenul, že chce vojsť k svojej manželke do jej izby, jej otec mu to nedovolil.

2 (UKJV) "And her father said, I verily thought that you had utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to your companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray you, instead of her. "
2 (HEM) ויאמר אביה אמר אמרתי כי שנא שנאתה ואתננה למרעך הלא אחתה הקטנה טובה ממנה תהי נא לך תחתיה׃
2 (KAT) Pritom jej otec povedal: „Myslel som, že si na ňu zanevrel. Preto som ju dal tvojmu družbovi. Ale jej mladšia sestra je krajšia ako ona. Tú ti môžem dať namiesto nej.“

3 (UKJV) And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure.
3 (HEM) ויאמר להם שמשון נקיתי הפעם מפלשתים כי עשה אני עמם רעה׃
3 (KAT) Samson im povedal: „Odteraz sa nebudem cítiť vinný pred Filištíncami, keď im niečo zlé vykonám.“

4 (UKJV) And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails.
4 (HEM) וילך שמשון וילכד שלש מאות שועלים ויקח לפדים ויפן זנב אל זנב וישם לפיד אחד בין שני הזנבות בתוך׃
4 (KAT) A Samson vyšiel, nachytal tristo šakalov, potom vzal fakle, obrátil chvost ku chvostu a medzi každé dva chvosty pripevnil fakľu.

5 (UKJV) And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.
5 (HEM) ויבער אש בלפידים וישלח בקמות פלשתים ויבער מגדיש ועד קמה ועד כרם זית׃
5 (KAT) Potom fakle zapálil a vypustil ich Filištíncom do obilia. Tak im spálil obilie, či už bolo na hromade alebo na koreni, ba aj vinohrady a olivy.

6 (UKJV) Then the Philistines said, Who has done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.
6 (HEM) ויאמרו פלשתים מי עשה זאת ויאמרו שמשון חתן התמני כי לקח את אשתו ויתנה למרעהו ויעלו פלשתים וישרפו אותה ואת אביה באש׃
6 (KAT) Keď sa Filištínci vypytovali: „Kto to urobil?“ - povedali im: „Tamnaťanov zať Samson, lebo mu vzal jeho manželku a dal ju jednému z jeho družbov.“ Tu Filištínci vyšli a upálili ju aj s jej otcom.

7 (UKJV) And Samson said unto them, Though all of you have done this, yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.
7 (HEM) ויאמר להם שמשון אם תעשון כזאת כי אם נקמתי בכם ואחר אחדל׃
7 (KAT) Samson im však povedal: „Keď vy takto robíte, nebudem mať pokoja, kým sa na vás nevypomstím.“

8 (UKJV) And he stroke them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam.
8 (HEM) ויך אותם שוק על ירך מכה גדולה וירד וישב בסעיף סלע עיטם׃
8 (KAT) A bil ich „lýtko i stehno“ hroznou ranou. Potom odišiel a zdržoval sa v skalnej rokline Etam.

9 (UKJV) Then the Philistines went up, and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi.
9 (HEM) ויעלו פלשתים ויחנו ביהודה וינטשו בלחי׃
9 (KAT) Filištínci vystúpili a utáborili sa v Júdsku, roztiahli sa až do Lechi.

10 (UKJV) And the men of Judah said, Why are all of you come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he has done to us.
10 (HEM) ויאמרו איש יהודה למה עליתם עלינו ויאמרו לאסור את שמשון עלינו לעשות לו כאשר עשה לנו׃
10 (KAT) Keď sa Júdovci pýtali: „Prečo ste k nám vytiahli?“ - odpovedali: „Prišli sme chytiť Samsona a odplatiť sa mu za to, čo nám vykonal.“

11 (UKJV) Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Know you not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that you have done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
11 (HEM) וירדו שלשת אלפים איש מיהודה אל סעיף סלע עיטם ויאמרו לשמשון הלא ידעת כי משלים בנו פלשתים ומה זאת עשית לנו ויאמר להם כאשר עשו לי כן עשיתי להם׃
11 (KAT) Tu zostúpilo asi tristo mužov z Júdu do skalnej rokliny Etam a pýtali sa Samsona: „Nevieš, že Filištínci sú našimi pánmi? Čo si nám to urobil?“ Odvetil im: „Ako oni urobili mne, tak som ja urobil im.“

12 (UKJV) And they said unto him, We are come down to bind you, that we may deliver you into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that all of you will not fall upon me yourselves.
12 (HEM) ויאמרו לו לאסרך ירדנו לתתך ביד פלשתים ויאמר להם שמשון השבעו לי פן תפגעון בי אתם׃
12 (KAT) Povedali mu: „Prišli sme ťa zajať, aby sme ťa vydali do ruky Filištíncov.“ - „Prisahajte mi,“ požiadal ich Samson, „že ma vy nezabijete!“

13 (UKJV) "And they spoke unto him, saying, No; but we will bind you fast, and deliver you into their hand: but surely we will not kill you. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock. "
13 (HEM) ויאמרו לו לאמר לא כי אסר נאסרך ונתנוך בידם והמת לא נמיתך ויאסרהו בשנים עבתים חדשים ויעלוהו מן הסלע׃
13 (KAT) Odpovedali mu: „Nie, my ťa chceme len zajať a odovzdať do ich ruky. Ale zabiť ťa nezabijeme.“ Potom ho zviazali dvoma novými povrazmi a vyniesli ho zo skalnej rokliny.

14 (UKJV) And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.
14 (HEM) הוא בא עד לחי ופלשתים הריעו לקראתו ותצלח עליו רוח יהוה ותהיינה העבתים אשר על זרועותיו כפשתים אשר בערו באש וימסו אסוריו מעל ידיו׃
14 (KAT) Keď prišiel do Lechi, Filištínci mu jasavo výskali v ústrety. Tu však zostúpil na neho Pánov duch a povrazy, ktoré mal na ramenách, boli ako kúdeľ, ktorú stravuje oheň, a putá mu spadli z rúk.

15 (UKJV) And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

15 (KAT) Vtom našiel čerstvú osliu čeľusť, vystrel ruku, chytil ju a pobil ňou tisíc mužov.

16 (UKJV) And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.
16 (HEM) ויאמר שמשון בלחי החמור חמור חמרתים בלחי החמור הכיתי אלף איש׃
16 (KAT) A Samson povedal: „Čeľusťou osľou - jednu hŕbu, dve hŕby, čeľusťou osľou - tisíc mužov som pobil.“

17 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramathlehi.
17 (HEM) ויהי ככלתו לדבר וישלך הלחי מידו ויקרא למקום ההוא רמת לחי׃
17 (KAT) Keď dohovoril, odhodil čeľusť z ruky a nazval to miesto Ramat-Lechi (Odhodenie čeľuste).

18 (UKJV) And he was sore thirsty, and called on the LORD, and said, You have given this great deliverance into the hand of your servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?
18 (HEM) ויצמא מאד ויקרא אל יהוה ויאמר אתה נתת ביד עבדך את התשועה הגדלה הזאת ועתה אמות בצמא ונפלתי ביד הערלים׃
18 (KAT) Ale bol veľmi smädný. Preto volal k Pánovi: „Ty si dal do ruky svojho služobníka toto veľké víťazstvo a teraz zomriem smädom a dostanem sa do ruky neobrezancov.“

19 (UKJV) "But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water from it; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day. "
19 (HEM) ויבקע אלהים את המכתש אשר בלחי ויצאו ממנו מים וישת ותשב רוחו ויחי על כן קרא שמה עין הקורא אשר בלחי עד היום הזה׃
19 (KAT) Tu Boh otvoril priehlbinku, čo bola v Lechi, a vyvrela z nej voda. Keď sa jej napil, okrial na duchu a ožil. Preto sa nazýva „Prameň vzývajúceho“, ktorý je v Lechi až podnes.

20 (UKJV) And he judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.
20 (HEM) וישפט את ישראל בימי פלשתים עשרים שנה׃
20 (KAT) Súdil Izrael dvadsať rokov za čias Filištíncov.
