1 (HEM) וירד שמשון תמנתה וירא אשה בתמנתה מבנות פלשתים׃
1 (KAT) Raz Samson zostúpil do Tamnaty a v Tamnate sa zahľadel do jednej z filištínskych dcér.
1 (UKJV) And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.

2 (HEM) ויעל ויגד לאביו ולאמו ויאמר אשה ראיתי בתמנתה מבנות פלשתים ועתה קחו אותה לי לאשה׃
2 (KAT) Keď sa vrátil, rozpovedal to svojmu otcovi a svojej matke. Hovoril: „V Tamnate som sa zahľadel do jednej z filištínskych dcér. Vezmite mi ju za manželku!“
2 (UKJV) And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.

3 (HEM) ויאמר לו אביו ואמו האין בבנות אחיך ובכל עמי אשה כי אתה הולך לקחת אשה מפלשתים הערלים ויאמר שמשון אל אביו אותה קח לי כי היא ישרה בעיני׃
3 (KAT) Ale jeho otec a matka mu namietali: „Niet už medzi dcérami tvojich bratov a v celom mojom ľude ani jednej ženy, keď si chceš vziať ženu z tých neobrezancov, Filištíncov?“ Samson však povedal svojmu otcovi: „Túto mi vezmi! Lebo ona sa mi páči.“
3 (UKJV) "Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there not a woman among the daughters of your brethren, or among all my people, that you go to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleases me well. "

4 (HEM) ואביו ואמו לא ידעו כי מיהוה היא כי תאנה הוא מבקש מפלשתים ובעת ההיא פלשתים משלים בישראל׃
4 (KAT) Jeho otec a matka nevedeli, že sa tak stalo od Pána. On vyhľadával totiž zádrapku proti Filištíncom. Toho času panovali Filištínci nad Izraelom.
4 (UKJV) But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

5 (HEM) וירד שמשון ואביו ואמו תמנתה ויבאו עד כרמי תמנתה והנה כפיר אריות שאג לקראתו׃
5 (KAT) Raz Samson zostupoval so svojím otcom a so svojou matkou do Tamnaty. Tak došli až k tamnatským viniciam. Zrazu zareval oproti nemu mladý lev.
5 (UKJV) Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.

6 (HEM) ותצלח עליו רוח יהוה וישסעהו כשסע הגדי ומאומה אין בידו ולא הגיד לאביו ולאמו את אשר עשה׃
6 (KAT) Tu zostúpil na neho Pánov duch a leva roztrhol, ako sa rozdvojuje kozľa, hoci nemal nič v ruke. Ale svojmu otcovi a svojej matke sa nepochválil, čo urobil.
6 (UKJV) And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

7 (HEM) וירד וידבר לאשה ותישר בעיני שמשון׃
7 (KAT) Potom sa pobral ďalej a zhováral sa so ženou. Páčila sa Samsonovi.
7 (UKJV) "And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well. "

8 (HEM) וישב מימים לקחתה ויסר לראות את מפלת האריה והנה עדת דבורים בגוית האריה ודבש׃
8 (KAT) Keď o nejaký čas zase tade išiel, aby si ju vzal, odbočil, aby sa podíval na mŕtvolu leva. A hľa, v tele leva bol roj včiel a med.
8 (UKJV) And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcass of the lion.

9 (HEM) וירדהו אל כפיו וילך הלוך ואכל וילך אל אביו ואל אמו ויתן להם ויאכלו ולא הגיד להם כי מגוית האריה רדה הדבש׃
9 (KAT) Nabral si ho do rúk a na ďalšej ceste pojedal. Keď prišiel k svojmu otcovi a svojej matke, dal im z toho a jedli. Ale nepovedal im, že med vybral z levieho tela.
9 (UKJV) And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcass of the lion.

10 (HEM) וירד אביהו אל האשה ויעש שם שמשון משתה כי כן יעשו הבחורים׃
10 (KAT) Potom zostúpil k žene. A Samson tam vystrojil hostinu, lebo tak to robievali mladoženísi.
10 (UKJV) "So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do. "

11 (HEM) ויהי כראותם אותו ויקחו שלשים מרעים ויהיו אתו׃
11 (KAT) Keď ho videli, dali mu tridsať družbov, ktorí boli pri ňom.
11 (UKJV) And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.

12 (HEM) ויאמר להם שמשון אחודה נא לכם חידה אם הגד תגידו אותה לי שבעת ימי המשתה ומצאתם ונתתי לכם שלשים סדינים ושלשים חלפת בגדים׃
12 (KAT) Samson im povedal: „Dám vám hádanku. Ak ju za sedem dní hostiny uhádnete a správne rozlúštite, dám vám tridsať spodných šiat a tridsať sviatočných oblekov.
12 (UKJV) And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if all of you can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:

13 (HEM) ואם לא תוכלו להגיד לי ונתתם אתם לי שלשים סדינים ושלשים חליפות בגדים ויאמרו לו חודה חידתך ונשמענה׃
13 (KAT) Ale ak mi ju nebudete môcť rozlúštiť, tak dáte vy mne tridsať spodných šiat a tridsať sviatočných oblekov.“ Keď na neho naliehali: „Daj nám hádanku! Chceme ju počuť!“
13 (UKJV) But if all of you cannot declare it me, then shall all of you give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth your riddle, that we may hear it.

14 (HEM) ויאמר להם מהאכל יצא מאכל ומעז יצא מתוק ולא יכלו להגיד החידה שלשת ימים׃
14 (KAT) - povedal im: „Z požierajúceho vyšiel pokrm a zo silného vyšla sladkosť.“ Po tri dni nemohli rozlúštiť tú hádanku.
14 (UKJV) And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth food, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

15 (HEM) ויהי ביום השביעי ויאמרו לאשת שמשון פתי את אישך ויגד לנו את החידה פן נשרף אותך ואת בית אביך באש הלירשנו קראתם לנו הלא׃
15 (KAT) Na štvrtý deň povedali Samsonovej žene: „Nahováraj svojho muža, aby nám prezradil hádanku! Ináč spálime teba i dom tvojho otca. To ste nás sem pozvali, aby ste nás ožobráčili?“
15 (UKJV) And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice your husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn you and your father's house with fire: have all of you called us to take that we have? is it not so?

16 (HEM) ותבך אשת שמשון עליו ותאמר רק שנאתני ולא אהבתני החידה חדת לבני עמי ולי לא הגדתה ויאמר לה הנה לאבי ולאמי לא הגדתי ולך אגיד׃
16 (KAT) A Samsonova žena plakala pred ním a dohovárala mu: „Zanevrel si na mňa a iste ma nemiluješ! Hádanku si dal mojim krajanom a mne si ju neprezradil!“ Odpovedal jej: „Ani svojmu otcovi a svojej matke som to nepovedal a tebe by som to mal prezradiť?“
16 (UKJV) And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, You do but hate me, and love me not: you have put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and have not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it you?

17 (HEM) ותבך עליו שבעת הימים אשר היה להם המשתה ויהי ביום השביעי ויגד לה כי הציקתהו ותגד החידה לבני עמה׃
17 (KAT) Sedem dní, čo bola u nich hostina, vyplakávala pred ním. Konečne na siedmy deň jej to vyzradil, lebo na neho naliehala. Ona zas prezradila rozlúštenie hádanky svojim krajanom.
17 (UKJV) And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.

18 (HEM) ויאמרו לו אנשי העיר ביום השביעי בטרם יבא החרסה מה מתוק מדבש ומה עז מארי ויאמר להם לולא חרשתם בעגלתי לא מצאתם חידתי׃
18 (KAT) A na siedmy deň pred západom slnka mu povedali mužovia mesta: „Čo je sladšie nad med a čo je silnejšie nad leva?“ On im odpovedal: „Keby ste neboli orali na mojej jalovici, neboli by ste rozlúštili moju hádanku.“
18 (UKJV) And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion? and he said unto them, If all of you had not plowed with my heifer, all of you had not found out my riddle.

19 (HEM) ותצלח עליו רוח יהוה וירד אשקלון ויך מהם שלשים איש ויקח את חליצותם ויתן החליפות למגידי החידה ויחר אפו ויעל בית אביהו׃
19 (KAT) Tu zostúpil na neho Pánov duch, zašiel do Askalona, pobil tam tridsať mužov, pobral im odevy a dal ich sviatočné obleky tým, ktorí rozlúštili hádanku. Náramne bol rozhnevaný a odišiel do domu svojho otca.
19 (UKJV) And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.

20 (HEM) ותהי אשת שמשון למרעהו אשר רעה לו׃
20 (KAT) Samsonovu ženu však dali jednému z družbov, ktorí boli v jeho spoločnosti.
20 (UKJV) But Samson's wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.
