4 (VUL) Cave ergo, ne vinum bibas ac siceram nec immundum quidquam comedas,
4 (UKJV) Now therefore beware, I pray you, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

5 (KAT) Lebo počneš a porodíš syna, ktorého hlavy sa britva nedotkne; chlapec bude zasvätený Bohu od materského lona. A on začne vyslobodzovať Izrael z ruky Filištíncov.“
5 (VUL) quia ecce concipies et paries filium, cuius non tanget caput novacula: erit enim puer nazaraeus Dei ex matris utero et ipse incipiet liberare Israel de manu Philisthinorum ”.
5 (UKJV) "For, lo, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. "

7 (VUL) Et dixit mihi: “Ecce concipies et paries filium; cave, ne vinum bibas et siceram et ne aliquo vescaris immundo: erit enim puer nazaraeus Dei ex utero matris usque ad diem mortis suae” ”.
7 (UKJV) "But he said unto me, Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death. "

13 (UKJV) And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

14 (KAT) Nech nepožíva nič, čo pochádza z vínneho kmeňa! Nech nepije víno ani iný opojný nápoj! Tiež nech nepožíva nič nečisté! Všetko, čo som jej prikázal, nech zachová!“
14 (VUL) et, quidquid ex vinea nascitur, non comedat, vinum et siceram non bibat, nullo vescatur immundo et, quod ei praecepi, custodiat ”.
14 (UKJV) She may not eat of any thing that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.

16 (UKJV) And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though you detain me, I will not eat of your bread: and if you will offer a burnt offering, you must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.

17 (UKJV) And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is your name, that when your sayings come to pass we may do you honour?

18 (UKJV) And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why ask you thus after my name, seeing it is secret?

21 (VUL) et ultra non eis apparuit angelus Domini. Statimque intellexit Manue angelum esse Domini
21 (UKJV) But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.

22 (KAT) A Manue povedal svojej manželke: „Určite zomrieme, lebo sme videli Boha.“
22 (VUL) et dixit ad uxorem suam: “ Morte moriemur, quia vidimus Deum ”.
22 (UKJV) And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

23 (KAT) Ale jeho manželka mu povedala: „Keby nás bol chcel Pán usmrtiť, nebol by prijal z našej ruky ani zápalnú, ani suchú obetu, ani by nám nebol toto všetko ukázal, ani by nám nebol niečo také oznámil.“

24 (KAT) Keď manželka porodila syna, dala mu meno Samson. Chlapec rástol a Pán ho požehnával.
24 (VUL) Peperit itaque filium et vocavit nomen eius Samson. Crevitque puer, et benedixit ei Dominus.
24 (UKJV) And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.

25 (KAT) Pánov duch začal v ňom pôsobiť v Machane-Dan medzi Saraou a Estaolom.
25 (VUL) Coepitque spiritus Domini impellere eum in Castris Dan inter Saraa et Esthaol.
25 (UKJV) And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.
