1 (KAT) Teraz však boli zvolaní Efraimci. Vytiahli na sever a vraveli Jeftemu: „Prečo si vytiahol do boja proti Amončanom bez toho, žeby si nás bol povolal, aby sme tiahli s tebou?! Zapálime ti dom nad hlavou!“
1 (VUL) Ecce autem convocatus vir Ephraim transiit contra aqui lonem, et dixerunt ad Iephte: “ Quare vadens ad pugnam contra filios Ammon vocare nos noluisti, ut pergeremus tecum? Igitur incendemus domum tuam super te ”.
1 (UKJV) And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passed you over to fight against the children of Ammon, and did not call us to go with you? we will burn your house upon you with fire.

2 (KAT) Jefte im povedal: „Ja a môj ľud sme zviedli ťažký boj s Amončanmi. Volal som vás, ale nevyslobodili ste ma z ich ruky.
2 (VUL) Quibus ille respondit: “ Disceptatio erat mihi et populo meo contra filios Ammon vehemens, vocavique vos, ut mihi praeberetis auxilium, et facere noluistis.

4 (VUL) Vocatis itaque ad se cunctis viris Galaad, pugnabat contra Ephraim. Percusseruntque viri Galaad Ephraim, quia dixerat: “ Fugitivi de Ephraim estis; Galaad habitat in medio Ephraim et Manasse ”.
4 (UKJV) Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead stroke Ephraim, because they said, All of you Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites.

7 (KAT) Jefte súdil Izrael šesť rokov. Keď Galaádčan Jefte zomrel, pochovali ho v jednom galaádskom meste.
7 (VUL) Iudicavitque Iephte Galaadites Israel sex annis et mortuus est ac sepultus in civitate sua in Galaad.
7 (UKJV) And Jephthah judged Israel six years. Then died Jephthah the Gileadite, and was buried in one of the cities of Gilead.

8 (KAT) Po ňom súdil Izrael Abesan z Betlehema.
8 (VUL) Post hunc iudicavit Israel Abesan de Bethlehem.
8 (UKJV) And after him Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel.

9 (KAT) Mal tridsať synov a tridsať dcér, ktoré povydával von; svojim synom priviedol tridsať dcér odinakiaľ. Súdil Izrael sedem rokov.
9 (VUL) Qui habuit triginta filios et totidem filias emittens foras maritis dedit; et eiusdem numeri filiis suis accepit uxores forinsecus. Qui septem annis iudicavit Israel;
9 (UKJV) And he had thirty sons, and thirty daughters, whom he sent abroad, and took in thirty daughters from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years.

10 (KAT) Keď Abesan zomrel, pochovali ho v Betleheme.
10 (VUL) mortuusque est ac sepultus in Bethlehem.
10 (UKJV) Then died Ibzan, and was buried at Bethlehem.

11 (KAT) Po ňom súdil Izrael Zabulonovec Ahialon. Súdil Izrael desať rokov.
11 (VUL) Cui successit Ahialon Zabulonites et iudicavit Israel decem annis;
11 (UKJV) "And after him Elon, a Zebulonite, judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years. "

12 (KAT) Keď Zabulonovec Ahialon zomrel, pochovali ho v Ajalone v Zabulonsku.

14 (KAT) Mal štyridsať synov a tridsať vnukov, ktorí jazdili na sedemdesiatich osliatkach. Súdil Izrael osem rokov.
14 (VUL) Qui habuit quadraginta filios et triginta ex eis nepotes ascendentes super septuaginta pullos asinarum. Et iudicavit Israel octo annis;
14 (UKJV) And he had forty sons and thirty nephews, that rode on threescore and ten ass colts: and he judged Israel eight years.

15 (KAT) Keď Ilelov syn, Faratončan Abdon zomrel, pochovali ho vo Faratone v Efraimsku, na pohorí Amalekitov.
15 (VUL) mortuusque est ac sepultus in Pharathon terrae Ephraim in monte Amalecite.
15 (UKJV) And Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite died, and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the mount of the Amalekites.
