1 (KJV) And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire.
1 (SVD) واجتمع رجال افرايم وعبروا الى جهة الشمال وقالوا ليفتاح لماذا عبرت لمحاربة بني عمون ولم تدعنا للذهاب معك. نحرق بيتك عليك بنار.
1 (B21) Efraimští muži se zatím sešikovali a překročili Jordán směrem k Cafonu. "Proč jsi nás nepozval, abychom šli s tebou, když jsi táhl do boje proti Amoncům?" vyčítali Jiftachovi. "Zapálíme ti dům nad hlavou!"

2 (KJV) And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands.
2 (SVD) فقال لهم يفتاح. صاحب خصام شديد كنت انا وشعبي مع بني عمون وناديتكم فلم تخلصوني من يدهم.
2 (B21) Jiftach jim odpověděl: "Já a můj lid jsme měli s Amonci těžkou při. Volal jsem vás, ale nepřišli jste mi proti nim na pomoc.

3 (KJV) And when I saw that ye delivered me not, I put my life in my hands, and passed over against the children of Ammon, and the LORD delivered them into my hand: wherefore then are ye come up unto me this day, to fight against me?
3 (SVD) ولما رأيت انكم لا تخلصون وضعت نفسي في يدي وعبرت الى بني عمون فدفعهم الرب ليدي. فلماذا صعدتم عليّ اليوم هذا لمحاربتي.
3 (B21) Když jsem viděl, že mi nepomůžete, nasadil jsem vlastní život, vytáhl jsem proti Amoncům a Hospodin mi je vydal do rukou. Proč jste dnes za mnou přišli? Bojovat se mnou?"

4 (KJV) Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites.
4 (SVD) وجمع يفتاح كل رجال جلعاد وحارب افرايم فضرب رجال جلعاد افرايم لانهم قالوا. انتم منفلتو افرايم. جلعاد بين افرايم ومنسّى.
4 (B21) Jiftach tedy shromáždil všechny gileádské muže a pustil se do boje proti Efraimovi. Gileádští muži na ně udeřili, protože Efraimci říkali: "Vy Gileáďané jste jen uprchlíci z Efraima - uprostřed Efraima a Manasese!"

5 (KJV) And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;
5 (SVD) فاخذ الجلعاديون مخاوض الاردن لافرايم وكان اذ قال منفلتو افرايم دعوني اعبر. كان رجال جلعاد يقولون له أانت افرايمي فان قال لا
5 (B21) Gileáďané tehdy Efraimcům obsadili jordánské brody, a kdykoli někdo z efraimských uprchlíků žádal: "Nechte mě přejít," Gileáďané se ho ptali: "Nejsi Efraimec?" Když odpověděl: "Nejsem,"

6 (KJV) Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.
6 (SVD) كانوا يقولون له قل اذا شبولت فيقول سبولت ولم يتحفظ للفظ بحق. فكانوا يأخذونه ويذبحونه على مخاوض الاردن. فسقط في ذلك الوقت من افرايم اثنان واربعون الفا.
6 (B21) vyzvali ho: "Tak řekni: Šibolet." Když ale řekl: Sibolet (protože to neuměl vyslovit správně), popadli ho a zamordovali. Tenkrát u těch jordánských brodů padlo 42 000 Efraimců.

7 (KJV) And Jephthah judged Israel six years. Then died Jephthah the Gileadite, and was buried in one of the cities of Gilead.
7 (SVD) وقضى يفتاح لاسرائيل ست سنين. ومات يفتاح الجلعادي ودفن في احدى مدن جلعاد
7 (B21) Jiftach soudil Izrael šest let. Když Jiftach Gileádský zemřel, byl pohřben ve svém městě v Gileádu.

8 (KJV) And after him Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel.
8 (SVD) وقضى بعده لاسرائيل ابصان من بيت لحم.
8 (B21) Po něm byl v Izraeli soudcem Ibcan z Betléma.

9 (KJV) And he had thirty sons, and thirty daughters, whom he sent abroad, and took in thirty daughters from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years.
9 (SVD) وكان له ثلاثون ابنا وثلاثون ابنة ارسلهنّ الى الخارج وأتى من الخارج بثلاثين ابنة لبنيه وقضى لاسرائيل سبع سنين.
9 (B21) Měl třicet synů a třicet dcer. Ty provdal jinam a svým synům přivedl třicet dívek odjinud. Soudil Izrael sedm let.

10 (KJV) Then died Ibzan, and was buried at Bethlehem.
10 (SVD) ومات ابصان ودفن في بيت لحم
10 (B21) Když Ibcan zemřel, byl pohřben v Betlémě.

11 (KJV) And after him Elon, a Zebulonite, judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years.
11 (SVD) وقضى بعده لاسرائيل ايلون الزبولوني. قضى لاسرائيل عشر سنين.
11 (B21) Po něm byl v Izraeli soudcem Elon Zabulonský. Ten soudil Izrael deset let.

12 (KJV) And Elon the Zebulonite died, and was buried in Aijalon in the country of Zebulun.
12 (SVD) ومات ايلون الزبولوني ودفن في ايلون في ارض زبولون
12 (B21) Když Elon Zabulonský zemřel, byl pohřben v Ajalonu v zabulonském kraji.

13 (KJV) And after him Abdon the son of Hillel, a Pirathonite, judged Israel.
13 (SVD) وقضى بعده لاسرائيل عبدون بن هلّيل الفرعتوني.
13 (B21) Po něm byl v Izraeli soudcem Abdon, syn Hilela Piratonského.

14 (KJV) And he had forty sons and thirty nephews, that rode on threescore and ten ass colts: and he judged Israel eight years.
14 (SVD) وكان له اربعون ابنا وثلاثون حفيدا يركبون على سبعين جحشا قضى لاسرائيل ثماني سنين.
14 (B21) Ten měl čtyřicet synů a třicet vnuků, kteří jezdili na sedmdesáti oslech. Soudil Izrael osm let.

15 (KJV) And Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite died, and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the mount of the Amalekites.
15 (SVD) ومات عبدون بن هلّيل الفرعتوني ودفن في فرعتون في ارض افرايم في جبل العمالقة
15 (B21) Když Abdon, syn Hilela Piratonského, zemřel, byl pohřben v Piratonu v efraimském kraji na Amalekově pohoří.
