1 (KJV) Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.
1 (SVD) وكان يفتاح الجلعادي جبار بأس وهو ابن امرأة زانية. وجلعاد ولد يفتاح.
1 (B21) Byl jeden udatný hrdina, Jiftach Gileádský. Byl to syn jedné nevěstky a jeho otcem byl Gileád.

2 (KJV) And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.
2 (SVD) ثم ولدت امرأة جلعاد له بنين. فلما كبر بنو المرأة طردوا يفتاح وقالوا له لا ترث في بيت ابينا لانك انت ابن امرأة اخرى.
2 (B21) Ten měl ovšem syny také se svou manželkou. Když její synové vyrostli, Jiftacha vyhnali: "V domě našeho otce nemáš co dědit!" řekli mu. "Jsi přece syn cizí ženy!"

3 (KJV) Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.
3 (SVD) فهرب يفتاح من وجه اخوته واقام في ارض طوب. فاجتمع الى يفتاح رجال بطالون وكانوا يخرجون معه
3 (B21) Jiftach tedy od svých bratrů utekl a bydlel v kraji Tov. Tam se k němu přidali různí ničemové a podnikali s ním výpady.

4 (KJV) And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
4 (SVD) وكان بعد ايام ان بني عمون حاربوا اسرائيل.
4 (B21) Po nějaké době, když se Amonci dali do války s Izraelem,

5 (KJV) And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:
5 (SVD) ولما حارب بنو عمون اسرائيل ذهب شيوخ جلعاد ليأتوا بيفتاح من ارض طوب.
5 (B21) vypravili se gileádští stařešinové pro Jiftacha do kraje Tov.

6 (KJV) And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.
6 (SVD) وقالوا ليفتاح تعال وكن لنا قائدا فنحارب بني عمون.
6 (B21) "Pojď," řekli mu, "staň se naším vůdcem v boji proti Amoncům."

7 (KJV) And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my father's house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress?
7 (SVD) فقال يفتاح لشيوخ جلعاد أما أبغضتموني انتم وطردتموني من بيت ابي. فلماذا اتيتم اليّ الآن اذ تضايقتم.
7 (B21) Jiftach ale gileádským stařešinům odpověděl: "Copak jste mě z nenávisti nevyhnali z domu mého otce? Proč teď jdete za mnou?! Protože jste v úzkých?"

8 (KJV) And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
8 (SVD) فقال شيوخ جلعاد ليفتاح لذلك قد رجعنا الآن اليك لتذهب معنا وتحارب بني عمون وتكون لنا راسا لكل سكان جلعاد.
8 (B21) Gileádští stařešinové mu na to řekli: "Ano, ale teď jsme se pro tebe vrátili. Pojď s námi bojovat proti Amoncům. Staň se vůdcem nás všech, kdo bydlíme v Gileádu."

9 (KJV) And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, If ye bring me home again to fight against the children of Ammon, and the LORD deliver them before me, shall I be your head?
9 (SVD) فقال يفتاح لشيوخ جلعاد اذا ارجعتموني لمحاربة بني عمون ودفعهم الرب امامي فانا اكون لكم راسا.
9 (B21) Jiftach jim odpověděl: "Když se s vámi vrátím, abych bojoval s Amonci, a Hospodin mi je vydá, budu pak opravdu vaším vůdcem?"

10 (KJV) And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The LORD be witness between us, if we do not so according to thy words.
10 (SVD) فقال شيوخ جلعاد ليفتاح الرب يكون سامعا بيننا ان كنا لا نفعل هكذا حسب كلامك.
10 (B21) "Hospodin je náš svědek!" řekli mu gileádští stařešinové, "Uděláme přesně, co říkáš."

11 (KJV) Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the LORD in Mizpeh.
11 (SVD) فذهب يفتاح مع شيوخ جلعاد. وجعله الشعب عليهم راسا وقائدا. فتكلم يفتاح بجميع كلامه امام الرب في المصفاة
11 (B21) Jiftach tedy šel s nimi a lid si ho ustanovil za vůdce a velitele. Všechny své podmínky pak zopakoval před Hospodinem v Micpě.

12 (KJV) And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come against me to fight in my land?
12 (SVD) فارسل يفتاح رسلا الى ملك بني عمون يقول ما لي ولك انك اتيت اليّ للمحاربة في ارضي.
12 (B21) Potom Jiftach vyslal k amonskému králi posly se zprávou: "Co proti mně máš, že jsi přitáhl napadnout mou zem?"

13 (KJV) And the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those lands again peaceably.
13 (SVD) فقال ملك بني عمون لرسل يفتاح. لان اسرائيل قد اخذ ارضي عند صعوده من مصر من ارنون الى اليبّوق والى الاردن. فالآن ردها بسلام.
13 (B21) Amonský král jim odpověděl: "To, že Izrael na cestě z Egypta zabral mou zem od Arnonu k Jaboku až po Jordán. Teď ji vrať po dobrém!"

14 (KJV) And Jephthah sent messengers again unto the king of the children of Ammon:
14 (SVD) وعاد ايضا يفتاح وارسل رسلا الى ملك بني عمون.
14 (B21) Jiftach tedy k amonskému králi znovu vyslal posly

15 (KJV) And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon:
15 (SVD) وقال له هكذا يقول يفتاح. لم ياخذ اسرائيل ارض موآب ولا ارض بني عمون.
15 (B21) se zprávou: "Toto praví Jiftach: Izrael nezabral zem Moábců ani zem Amonců.

16 (KJV) But when Israel came up from Egypt, and walked through the wilderness unto the Red sea, and came to Kadesh;
16 (SVD) لانه عند صعود اسرائيل من مصر سار في القفر الى بحر سوف واتى الى قادش
16 (B21) Na cestě z Egypta Izrael procházel pouští až k Rudému moři. Když přišli do Kádeše,

17 (KJV) Then Israel sent messengers unto the king of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray thee, pass through thy land: but the king of Edom would not hearken thereto. And in like manner they sent unto the king of Moab: but he would not consent: and Israel abode in Kadesh.
17 (SVD) وارسل اسرائيل رسلا الى ملك ادوم قائلا دعني اعبر في ارضك. فلم يسمع ملك ادوم. فارسل ايضا الى ملك موآب فلم يرض. فاقام اسرائيل في قادش.
17 (B21) vyslali posly k edomskému králi se slovy: ‚Nech nás prosím projít tvou zemí.' Edomský král o tom ale nechtěl ani slyšet. Poslali proto k moábskému králi, ale i on je odmítl. Izrael tedy zůstal v Kádeši.

18 (KJV) Then they went along through the wilderness, and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.
18 (SVD) وسار في القفر ودار بارض ادوم وارض موآب وأتى من مشرق الشمس الى ارض موآب ونزل في عبر ارنون ولم يأتوا الى تخم موآب لان ارنون تخم موآب.
18 (B21) Potom se vydali na cestu pouští. Vyhnuli se edomské i moábské zemi, obešli moábskou zem z východu a utábořili se na druhé straně potoka Arnon, aby nevstoupili na moábské území - Arnon totiž tvořil moábskou hranici.

19 (KJV) And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us pass, we pray thee, through thy land into my place.
19 (SVD) ثم ارسل اسرائيل رسلا الى سيحون ملك الاموريين ملك حشبون وقال له اسرائيل دعني اعبر في ارضك الى مكاني.
19 (B21) Tehdy Izrael vyslal posly k emorejskému králi Sichonovi sídlícímu v Chešbonu. Izrael mu řekl: ‚Nech nás prosím projít tvou zemí až k nám domů.'

20 (KJV) But Sihon trusted not Israel to pass through his coast: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and pitched in Jahaz, and fought against Israel.
20 (SVD) ولم يأمن سيحون لاسرائيل ان يعبر في تخمه بل جمع سيحون كل شعبه ونزلوا في ياهص وحاربوا اسرائيل.
20 (B21) Sichon ale Izraeli nevěřil, že jeho územím jen projde, a tak shromáždil celé své vojsko, utábořil se v Jahce a napadl Izrael.

21 (KJV) And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.
21 (SVD) فدفع الرب اله اسرائيل سيحون وكل شعبه ليد اسرائيل فضربوهم وامتلك اسرائيل كل ارض الاموريين سكان تلك الارض.
21 (B21) Hospodin, Bůh Izraele, však vydal Sichona i celé jeho vojsko do rukou Izraeli, takže je porazili. Tak Izrael obsadil celou zem Emorejců, kteří tehdy v té zemi bydleli.

22 (KJV) And they possessed all the coasts of the Amorites, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and from the wilderness even unto Jordan.
22 (SVD) فامتلكوا كل تخم الاموريين من ارنون الى اليبوق ومن القفر الى الاردن.
22 (B21) Obsadil celé emorejské území od Arnonu k Jaboku a od pouště až po Jordán.

23 (KJV) So now the LORD God of Israel hath dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel, and shouldest thou possess it?
23 (SVD) والآن الرب اله اسرائيل قد طرد الاموريين من امام شعبه اسرائيل. أفانت تمتلكه.
23 (B21) Hospodin, Bůh Izraele, vyhnal Emorejce před svým lidem Izraelem, a ty chceš vyhnat nás?

24 (KJV) Wilt not thou possess that which Chemosh thy god giveth thee to possess? So whomsoever the LORD our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess.
24 (SVD) أليس ما يملّكك اياه كموش الهك تمتلك. وجميع الذين طردهم الرب الهنا من امامنا فاياهم نمتلك.
24 (B21) Nedržíš se snad toho, co ti dal tvůj bůh Kemoš? Stejně tak my se držíme toho, co nám dal Hospodin, náš Bůh.

25 (KJV) And now art thou any thing better than Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab? did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight against them,
25 (SVD) والآن فهل انت خير من بالاق بن صفور ملك موآب فهل خاصم اسرائيل او حاربهم محاربة.
25 (B21) To jsi o tolik lepší než moábský král Balák, syn Ciporův? Copak se odvážil vzdorovat Izraeli? Copak s ním bojoval?

26 (KJV) While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all the cities that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore did ye not recover them within that time?
26 (SVD) حين اقام اسرائيل في حشبون وقراها وعروعير وقراها وكل المدن التي على جانب ارنون ثلاث مئة سنة فلماذا لم تستردها في تلك المدة.
26 (B21) Už tři sta let bydlí Izrael v Chešbonu a jeho vesnicích, v Aroeru a jeho vesnicích i ve všech městech podél Arnonu. Proč jste je za tu dobu nedobyli zpět?

27 (KJV) Wherefore I have not sinned against thee, but thou doest me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.
27 (SVD) فانا لم اخطئ اليك واما انت فانك تفعل بي شرا بمحاربتي. ليقض الرب القاضي اليوم بين بني اسرائيل وبني عمون.
27 (B21) Já jsem ti tedy nijak neublížil, ale ty mi křivdíš, když proti mně válčíš. Soudce Hospodin ať dnes rozsoudí mezi syny Izraele a syny Amonovými!"

28 (KJV) Howbeit the king of the children of Ammon hearkened not unto the words of Jephthah which he sent him.
28 (SVD) فلم يسمع ملك بني عمون لكلام يفتاح الذي ارسل اليه
28 (B21) Amonský král ale na tato Jiftachova slova vůbec nedbal.

29 (KJV) Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon.
29 (SVD) فكان روح الرب على يفتاح فعبر جلعاد ومنسّى وعبر مصفاة جلعاد ومن مصفاة جلعاد عبر الى بني عمون.
29 (B21) Na Jiftachovi tehdy spočinul Duch Hospodinův. Táhl Gileádem a Manasesem, prošel gileádskou Micpou a odtud vytáhl proti Amoncům.

30 (KJV) And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,
30 (SVD) ونذر يفتاح نذرا للرب قائلا. ان دفعت بني عمون ليدي
30 (B21) Jiftach dal Hospodinu slib: "Jestli mi vydáš Amonce do rukou

31 (KJV) Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.
31 (SVD) فالخارج الذي يخرج من ابواب بيتي للقائي عند رجوعي بالسلامة من عند بني عمون يكون للرب واصعده محرقة.
31 (B21) a vrátím se domů jako vítěz, první, co mi vyjde ze vrat naproti, připadne Hospodinu jako má zápalná oběť."

32 (KJV) So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hands.
32 (SVD) ثم عبر يفتاح الى بني عمون لمحاربتهم. فدفعهم الرب ليده.
32 (B21) Jiftach vytáhl do boje proti Amoncům a Hospodin mu je vydal do rukou.

33 (KJV) And he smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.
33 (SVD) فضربهم من عروعير الى مجيئك الى منّيت عشرين مدينة والى آبل الكروم ضربة عظيمة جدا. فذلّ بني عمون امام بني اسرائيل
33 (B21) Zpustošil dvacet měst od Aroeru směrem k Minítu až po Abel-keramim. Kvůli té hrozné porážce se tenkrát Amonci museli před syny Izraele pokořit.

34 (KJV) And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.
34 (SVD) ثم أتى يفتاح الى المصفاة الى بيته. واذا بابنته خارجة للقائه بدفوف ورقص. وهي وحيدة. لم يكن له ابن ولا ابنة غيرها.
34 (B21) Jiftach se vracel domů do Micpy a hle, kdo mu vychází naproti - jeho dcera tančící za zvuku tamburín! Byla to jeho jediná. Neměl syna ani dceru kromě ní.

35 (KJV) And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back.
35 (SVD) وكان لما رأها انه مزّق ثيابه وقال آه يا بنتي قد احزنتني حزنا وصرت بين مكدّريّ لاني قد فتحت فمي الى الرب ولا يمكنني الرجوع.
35 (B21) Jakmile ji spatřil, roztrhl svá roucha: "Ach, má dcero!" vykřikl. "Taková pohroma! Přivedla jsi mě do neštěstí! Já jsem dal slovo Hospodinu a nemohu je vzít zpět!"

36 (KJV) And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the LORD, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the LORD hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon.
36 (SVD) فقالت له. يا ابي هل فتحت فاك الى الرب فافعل بي كما خرج من فيك بما ان الرب قد انتقم لك من اعدائك بني عمون.
36 (B21) "Otče můj," řekla mu ona, "ty jsi dal slovo Hospodinu? Udělej se mnou, co jsi slíbil - Hospodin ti přece dopřál pomstu nad tvými nepřáteli Amonci."

37 (KJV) And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows.
37 (SVD) ثم قالت لابيها فليفعل لي هذا الأمر. اتركني شهرين فاذهب وانزل على الجبال وابكي عذراويتي انا وصاحباتي.
37 (B21) Potom svého otce požádala: "Prosím jen o jedno: Pusť mě na dva měsíce, ať smím chodit po horách a se svými družkami plakat nad mým panenstvím."

38 (KJV) And he said, Go. And he sent her away for two months: and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains.
38 (SVD) فقال اذهبي وارسلها الى شهرين فذهبت هي وصاحباتها وبكت عذراويتها على الجبال.
38 (B21) "Jdi," řekl jí a propustil ji na dva měsíce. Šla tedy se svými družkami do hor a oplakávala své panenství.

39 (KJV) And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,
39 (SVD) وكان عند نهاية الشهرين انها رجعت الى ابيها ففعل بها نذره الذي نذر وهي لم تعرف رجلا. فصارت عادة في اسرائيل
39 (B21) Po dvou měsících se vrátila ke svému otci a ten s ní udělal, co slíbil. Nikdy nepoznala muže. Tak vznikl v Izraeli ten zvyk,

40 (KJV) That the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year.
40 (SVD) ان بنات اسرائيل يذهبن من سنة الى سنة لينحن على بنت يفتاح الجلعادي اربعة ايام في السنة
40 (B21) že izraelské dívky chodí rok co rok na čtyři dny oplakávat dceru Jiftacha Gileádského.
