1 (KAT) Po Abimelechovi povstal Tola, syn Fuu, syna Dodovho, Isacharovec, aby oslobodil Izrael. Býval v Samire na Efraimskom pohorí.
1 (VUL) Post Abimelech surrexit dux ad salvandum Israel Thola fi lius Phua filii Dodo, vir de Issachar, qui habitavit in Samir montis Ephraim.

3 (KAT) Po ňom povstal Galaádčan Jair a súdil Izrael dvadsaťdva rokov.

4 (KAT) Mal tridsať synov, ktorí jazdili na tridsiatich osliatkach a mali v krajine Galaád tridsať miest, ktoré sa až podnes nazývajú Jairove dediny.
4 (VUL) habens triginta filios sedentes super triginta pullos asinarum, et ipsis erant triginta civitates, quae appellatae sunt Havoth Iair (id est villae Iair) usque in praesentem diem, in terra Galaad.

5 (KAT) Keď Jair zomrel, pochovali ho v Kamone.

6 (KAT) Izraelovi synovia opäť robili, čo je zlé v Pánových očiach: slúžili bálom a aštartám, bohom Aramejčanov, bohom Sidona, bohom Moabčanov, bohom Amončanov a bohom Filištíncov; opustili Pána a neslúžili mu.
6 (VUL) Filii autem Israel peccatis veteribus iungentes nova fecerunt malum in conspectu Domini et servierunt Baalim et Astharoth et diis Syriae ac Sidonis et Moab et filiorum Ammon et Philisthim; dimiseruntque Dominum et non colebant eum.
6 (UKJV) And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.

7 (KAT) I vzbĺkol Pánov hnev proti Izraelu a vydal ich do ruky Filištíncov a do ruky Amončanov.

10 (KAT) Tu volali Izraelovi synovia k Pánovi a vyznávali: „Zhrešili sme proti tebe, lebo sme opustili svojho Boha a slúžili sme bálom.“
10 (VUL) Et clamantes filii Israel ad Dominum dixerunt: “ Peccavimus tibi, quia dereliquimus Deum nostrum et servivimus Baalim ”.
10 (UKJV) And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against you, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.

13 (KAT) Vy ste ma však opustili a slúžili ste cudzím bohom. Preto vás už neoslobodím.
13 (VUL) Et tamen reliquistis me et coluistis deos alienos; idcirco non addam ut ultra vos liberem.
13 (UKJV) Yet all of you have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

14 (KAT) Choďte a volajte k bohom, ktorých ste si vyvolili! Nech vás oslobodia oni v čase vašej úzkosti!“
14 (VUL) Ite et invocate deos, quos elegistis: ipsi vos liberent in tempore angustiae! ”.
14 (UKJV) "Go and cry unto the gods which all of you have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. "

15 (KAT) Izraelovi synovia hovorili Pánovi: „Zhrešili sme. Zaobchádzaj s nami tak, ako uznáš za dobré! Len nás ešte teraz vysloboď!“
15 (VUL) Dixeruntque filii Israel ad Dominum: “Peccavimus; redde tu nobis, quidquid tibi placet, tantum nunc libera nos ”.
15 (UKJV) "And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do you unto us whatsoever seems good unto you; deliver us only, we pray you, this day. "

16 (KAT) Nato odstránili zo svojho stredu cudzích bohov a slúžili Pánovi. A zľutoval sa nad biedou Izraela.
16 (VUL) Quae dicentes omnia de finibus suis alienorum deorum idola proiecerunt et servierunt Domino, qui doluit super miseriis Israel.
16 (UKJV) And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

17 (KAT) Keď boli Amončania zvolaní a táborili v Galaáde, zatiaľ čo Izraelovi synovia sa zhromaždili a utáborili v Masfe,
17 (VUL) Itaque filii Ammon convocati in Galaad fixere tentoria; contra quos congregati filii Israel in Maspha castrametati sunt.
17 (UKJV) Then the children of Ammon were gathered together, and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpeh.

18 (KAT) hovoril si ľud, galaádske kniežatá, medzi sebou: „Kto je ten muž, ktorý začne bojovať proti Amončanom? Ten bude hlavou všetkých galaádskych obyvateľov.“
18 (VUL) Dixeruntque populus, principes Galaad, singuli ad proximos suos: “ Qui primus contra filios Ammon coeperit dimicare, erit dux omnium habitatorum Galaad ”.
18 (UKJV) And the people and princes of Gilead said one to another, What man is he that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
