1 (UKJV) "And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in mount Ephraim. "
1 (ROH) A po Abimelechovi povstal zachrániť Izraela Tóla, syn Púov, syna Dódovho, muž z pokolenia Izachárovho, a ten býval v Šamíre, na vrchu Efraimovom.

2 (UKJV) And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.
2 (ROH) Súdil Izraela dvadsaťtri rokov a keď zomrel, pochovaný bol v Šamíre.

3 (UKJV) And after him arose Jair, a Gileadite, and judged Israel twenty and two years.
3 (ROH) Po ňom povstal Jair Gileádsky a súdil Izraela dvadsaťdva rokov.

4 (UKJV) And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
4 (ROH) A mal tridsiatich synov, ktorí jazdili na tridsiatich mladých osloch a mali tridsať miest. Volajú ich dedinami Jairovými až do tohoto dňa, ktoré sú v zemi Gileáde.

5 (UKJV) And Jair died, and was buried in Camon.
5 (ROH) A keď zomrel Jair, pochovaný bol v Kamone.

6 (UKJV) And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.
6 (ROH) A synovia Izraelovi zase robili to, čo je zlé v očiach Hospodinových, a slúžili Bálom a Astartám a sýrskym bohom, aramejským, a sidonským bohom, moábskym bohom, bohom synov Ammonových a bohom Filištínov a opustili Hospodina a neslúžili mu.

7 (UKJV) And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
7 (ROH) Preto sa zanietil hnev Hospodinov na Izraela, a predal ich do ruky Filištínov a do ruky synov Ammonových,

8 (UKJV) And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
8 (ROH) ktorí drtili a deptali synov Izraelových toho roku a osemnásť rokov všetkých synov Izraelových, ktorí boli za Jordánom v zemi Amoreja, ktorá je v Gileáde.

9 (UKJV) "Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed. "
9 (ROH) Lebo synovia Ammonovi prešli cez Jordán, aby bojovali aj proti Júdovi, proti Benjaminovi a proti domu Efraimovmu. A Izraelovi bolo veľmi úzko.

10 (UKJV) And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against you, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.
10 (ROH) Vtedy kričali synovia Izraelovi k Hospodinovi a vraveli: Zhrešili sme proti tebe, a to tým, že sme opustili svojho Boha a slúžili sme Bálom.

11 (UKJV) And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
11 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol synom Izraelovým: Či nezachránil som vás od Egypťanov a od Amorejov, od synov Ammonových a od Filištínov?

12 (UKJV) "The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and all of you cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand. "
12 (ROH) A utiskovali vás Sidonci, Amalech a Maon, a keď ste kričali ku mne, zachránil som vás z ich ruky.

13 (UKJV) Yet all of you have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.
13 (ROH) Ale vy ste ma opustili a slúžili ste iným bohom, preto vás už viacej nezachránim.

14 (UKJV) "Go and cry unto the gods which all of you have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. "
14 (ROH) Iďte a kričte k bohom, ktorých ste si vyvolili: nech vám tí pomôžu v čas vašej úzkosti.

15 (UKJV) "And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do you unto us whatsoever seems good unto you; deliver us only, we pray you, this day. "
15 (ROH) A synovia Izraelovi povedali Hospodinovi: Zhrešili sme. Ty nám učiň, čokoľvek sa ti ľúbi, len nás, prosíme, vytrhni tohoto dňa.

16 (UKJV) And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
16 (ROH) A odstránili cudzích bohov zo svojho stredu a slúžili Hospodinovi. A nemohla to zvládať jeho duša, aby sa nezľutovala v trápení Izraelovom.

17 (UKJV) Then the children of Ammon were gathered together, and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpeh.
17 (ROH) A synovia Ammonovi sa svolali a položili sa táborom v Gileáde. A shromaždili sa aj synovia Izraelovi a položili sa táborom v Micpe.

18 (UKJV) And the people and princes of Gilead said one to another, What man is he that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
18 (ROH) A ľud povedal, kniežatá kraja Gileáda, druh druhovi: Kto je ten muž, ktorý započne bojovať proti synom Ammonovým? Bude hlavou všetkým obyvateľom Gileáda.
