1 (UKJV) And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
1 (KAT) I videl som zostupovať z neba iného mocného anjela, zahaleného do oblaku a s dúhou na hlave. Jeho tvár bola ako slnko, jeho nohy ako ohnivé stĺpy
2 (UKJV) And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
2 (KAT) a v ruke mal otvorenú knižku. Pravou nohou si stal na more, ľavou na zem
3 (UKJV) And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
3 (KAT) a zvolal mohutným hlasom, ako keď reve lev. A keď zvolal, sedem hromov prehovorilo svojím hlasom.
4 (UKJV) And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
4 (KAT) A keď dohovorilo sedem hromov, chcel som písať, ale počul som hlas z neba, ktorý hovoril: „Zapečať, čo hovorilo sedem hromov, a nepíš to!“
5 (UKJV) And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
5 (KAT) Tu anjel, ktorého som videl stáť na mori i na zemi, zdvihol k nebu svoju pravú ruku
6 (UKJV) And swore by him that lives for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
6 (KAT) a zaprisahal sa na Žijúceho na veky vekov, ktorý stvoril nebo a čo je v ňom, zem a čo je na nej, i more a čo je v ňom: „Času už nebude!“
7 (UKJV) But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he has declared to his servants the prophets.
7 (KAT) Ale v dňoch hlasu siedmeho anjela, keď začne trúbiť poľnica, zavŕši sa Božie tajomstvo, ako zvestoval svojim služobníkom prorokom.
8 (UKJV) And the voice which I heard from heaven spoke unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which stands upon the sea and upon the earth.
8 (KAT) A hlas, ktorý som počul z neba, znova ku mne prehovoril: „Choď, vezmi otvorenú knihu z ruky anjela, ktorý stojí na mori i na zemi.“
9 (UKJV) "And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make your belly bitter, but it shall be in your mouth sweet as honey. "
9 (KAT) Šiel som k anjelovi a povedal som mu, aby mi dal knižku. On mi odpovedal: „Vezmi si ju a zjedz ju! V žalúdku ti zhorkne, ale v ústach ti bude sladká ako med.“
10 (UKJV) "And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. "
10 (KAT) Vzal som teda z anjelovej ruky knižku a zjedol som ju. V ústach mi bola sladká ako med, no len čo som ju prehltol, žalúdok sa mi naplnil horkosťou.
11 (UKJV) And he said unto me, You must prophesy again before many races and tribes, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
11 (KAT) Tu mi povedali: „Musíš znova prorokovať o ľuďoch, národoch, jazykoch a o mnohých kráľoch.“

Mt 17:2 - And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Zjv 1:15 - "And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. "

And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
Dan 8:26 - "And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut you up the vision; for it shall be for many days. "
Dan 12:4 - But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run back and forth, and knowledge shall be increased.

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
Dan 12:7 - "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that lives for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. "

And swore by him that lives for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
Zjv 11:15 - "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. "

"And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make your belly bitter, but it shall be in your mouth sweet as honey. "
Ez 3:1 - "Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that you find; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. "

Zjv 10,4 - Prehovorenie siedmich hromov znamená pravdepodobne plnosť zjavenia, ktoré sa Jánovi dostalo. Nemal ho zverejniť. Porov. Dan 12, 4.
Zjv 10,5-6 - Dan 12, 7. "Času už nebude" znamená, že je zavŕšená miera Božej zhovievavosti.
Zjv 10,7 - Tajomstvo spásy, definitívne zjavené Kristom a apoštolmi, vstupuje do posledného štádia. Porov. Rim 16, 25 n.; Ef 1, 4–9; Kol 1, 25–29.
Zjv 10,9-10 - Sladkosť a horkosť knižky sa vysvetľuje rôzne. Sladkosť knižky môže spočívať v prijatí Božieho slova, horkosť v povinnosti uskutočniť ho. Podľa iných sladkosť znamená ohlasovanie spásy, vyvolenia, horkosť zase ohlasovanie súdu, prenasledovania, alebo to, že knižka obsahuje radostné a bolestné skutočnosti. V každom prípade ide o podobnosť s prorokom Ezechielom. Porov. Ez 2, 8; 3, 1–3.
