1 (KJV) And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
1 (ROH) A videl som iného anjela silného, sostupujúceho z neba, odiateho oblakom, a na jeho hlave bola dúha, a jeho tvár bola jako slnce, a jeho nohy jako ohnivé stĺpy.
2 (KJV) And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
2 (ROH) a vo svojej ruke mal otvorenú knižku. A svoju pravú nohu položil na more a ľavú na zem
3 (KJV) And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
3 (ROH) a skríkol velikým hlasom, ako keď reve lev. A keď skríkol, prehovorilo sedem hromov svoje hlasy.
4 (KJV) And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
4 (ROH) A keď dohovorilo sedem hromov svoje hlasy, chcel som písať. Ale som počul hlas z neba, ktorý mi hovoril: Zapečať to, čo hovorilo sedem hromov, a nepíš toho!
5 (KJV) And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
5 (ROH) A anjel, ktorého som videl stáť na mori a na zemi, pozdvihol svoju pravú ruku k nebu
6 (KJV) And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
6 (ROH) a prisahal na živého na veky vekov, ktorý stvoril nebo i to, čo je v ňom, a zem i to, čo je nej, a more i to, čo je v ňom, že už viac nebude času,
7 (KJV) But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
7 (ROH) ale vo dňoch hlasu siedmeho anjela, keď bude trúbiť, dokoná sa tajomstvo Božie, ako to zvestoval svojim sluhom prorokom.
8 (KJV) And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
8 (ROH) A hlas, ktorý som bol počul z neba, zase hovoril so mnou a povedal: Iď a vezmi otvorenú knižku, ktorá je v ruke anjela, ktorý stojí na mori a na zemi.
9 (KJV) And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
9 (ROH) Vtedy som odišiel k anjelovi a povedal som mu, aby mi dal knižku. A on mi povedal: Vezmi a zjedz ju, a spôsobí ti horkosť v bruchu, ale v tvojich ústach bude sladká ako med.
10 (KJV) And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
10 (ROH) A vzal som knižku z ruky anjela a zjedol som ju, a bola v mojich ústach sladká jako med, ale keď som ju zjedol, zhorklo moje brucho.
11 (KJV) And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
11 (ROH) A povedal mi: Musíš zase prorokovať proti ľuďom a národom a jazykom a mnohým kráľom.

Mt 17:2 - And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Zjv 1:15 - And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
Dan 8:26 - And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
Dan 12:4 - But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
Dan 12:7 - And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
Zjv 11:15 - And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Verš 9
And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
Ez 3:1 - Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
Zjv 10,1 - O dúhe pozri poznámku k 4, 3.
Zjv 10,4 - Prehovorenie siedmich hromov znamená pravdepodobne plnosť zjavenia, ktoré sa Jánovi dostalo. Nemal ho zverejniť. Porov. Dan 12, 4.
Zjv 10,5-6 - Dan 12, 7. "Času už nebude" znamená, že je zavŕšená miera Božej zhovievavosti.
Zjv 10,7 - Tajomstvo spásy, definitívne zjavené Kristom a apoštolmi, vstupuje do posledného štádia. Porov. Rim 16, 25 n.; Ef 1, 4–9; Kol 1, 25–29.
Zjv 10,9-10 - Sladkosť a horkosť knižky sa vysvetľuje rôzne. Sladkosť knižky môže spočívať v prijatí Božieho slova, horkosť v povinnosti uskutočniť ho. Podľa iných sladkosť znamená ohlasovanie spásy, vyvolenia, horkosť zase ohlasovanie súdu, prenasledovania, alebo to, že knižka obsahuje radostné a bolestné skutočnosti. V každom prípade ide o podobnosť s prorokom Ezechielom. Porov. Ez 2, 8; 3, 1–3.
