2Jn 1, 1-13

1 (UKJV) "The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; "
1 (LS) L'ancien, à Kyria l'élue et à ses enfants, que j'aime dans la vérité, -et ce n'est pas moi seul qui les aime, mais aussi tous ceux qui ont connu la vérité, -

2 (UKJV) For the truth's sake, which dwells in us, and shall be with us for ever.
2 (LS) cause de la vérité qui demeure en nous, et qui sera avec nous pour l'éternité:

3 (UKJV) Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. (o. agape)
3 (LS) que la grâce, la miséricorde et la paix soient avec vous de la part de Dieu le Père et de la part de Jésus-Christ, le Fils du Père, dans la vérité et la charité!

4 (UKJV) I rejoiced greatly that I found of your children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
4 (LS) J'ai été fort réjoui de trouver de tes enfants qui marchent dans la vérité, selon le commandement que nous avons reçu du Père.

5 (UKJV) And now I plead to you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
5 (LS) Et maintenant, ce que je te demande, Kyria, -non comme te prescrivant un commandement nouveau, mais celui que nous avons eu dès le commencement, -c'est que nous nous aimions les uns les autres.

6 (UKJV) And this is love, (o. agape) that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as all of you have heard from the beginning, all of you should walk in it.
6 (LS) Et l'amour consiste à marcher selon ses commandements. C'est là le commandement dans lequel vous devez marcher, comme vous l'avez appris dès le commencement.

7 (UKJV) For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
7 (LS) Car plusieurs séducteurs sont entrés dans le monde, qui ne confessent point que Jésus-Christ est venu en chair. Celui qui est tel, c'est le séducteur et l'antéchrist.

8 (UKJV) Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
8 (LS) Prenez garde à vous-mêmes, afin que vous ne perdiez pas le fruit de votre travail, mais que vous receviez une pleine récompense.

9 (UKJV) Whosoever trangresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.
9 (LS) Quiconque va plus loin et ne demeure pas dans la doctrine de Christ n'a point Dieu; celui qui demeure dans cette doctrine a le Père et le Fils.

10 (UKJV) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
10 (LS) Si quelqu'un vient à vous et n'apporte pas cette doctrine, ne le recevez pas dans votre maison, et ne lui dites pas: Salut!

11 (UKJV) For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
11 (LS) car celui qui lui dit: Salut! participe à ses mauvaises oeuvres.

12 (UKJV) Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
12 (LS) Quoique j'eusse beaucoup de choses à vous écrire, je n'ai pas voulu le faire avec le papier et l'encre; mais j'espère aller chez vous, et vous parler bouche à bouche, afin que notre joie soit parfaite.

13 (UKJV) The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.
13 (LS) Les enfants de ta soeur l'élue te saluent.

Verš 10

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

Rim 16:17 - "Now I plead to you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which all of you have learned; and avoid them. "

2Tim 3:5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Tít 3:10 - "A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; "

Verš 5

And now I plead to you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

1Jn 2:7 - Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which all of you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word (o. logos) which all of you have heard from the beginning.

Jn 13:34 - "A new commandment I give unto you, That all of you love one another; as I have loved you, that all of you also love one another. "

Jn 15:12 - This is my commandment, That all of you love one another, as I have loved you.

Ef 5:2 - And walk in love, (o. agape) as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

1Sol 4:9 - But as concerning brotherly love all of you need not that I write unto you: for all of you yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

1Pt 4:8 - And above all things have fervent love (o. agape) among yourselves: for love (o. agape) shall cover the multitude of sins.

1Jn 3:23 - And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

1Jn 4:21 - And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves God love his brother also.

And this is love, (o. agape) that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as all of you have heard from the beginning, all of you should walk in it.

Jn 15:10 - "If all of you keep my commandments, all of you shall abide in my love; (o. agape) even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (o. agape) "

Verš 7

Mt 24:5 - "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. "

Mt 24:24 - "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. "

2Pt 2:1 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

1Jn 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, (o. pneuma) but try the spirits (o. pneuma) whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
