1Jn 1, 1-10

1 (CPDV) He who was from the beginning, whom we have heard, whom we have seen with our eyes, upon whom we have gazed, and whom our hands have certainly touched: He is the Word of Life.
1 (HEM) את אשר היה מראש אשר שמענו ובעינינו ראינו אשר הבטנו ואשר מששו ידינו על דבר החיים׃
1 (KAT) Čo bolo od počiatku, čo sme počuli, čo sme na vlastné oči videli, na čo sme hľadeli a čoho sa naše ruky dotýkali, to zvestujeme: Slovo života.

2 (CPDV) And that Life has been made manifest. And we have seen, and we testify, and we announce to you: the Eternal Life, who was with the Father, and who appeared to us.
2 (HEM) והחיים נגלו ונרא ומעידים אנחנו ומודיעים לכם את חיי העולם אשר היו עם האב ונגלו לנו׃
2 (KAT) - Lebo zjavil sa život a my sme videli, dosvedčujeme a zvestujeme vám večný život, ktorý bol u Otca a zjavil sa nám.

3 (CPDV) He whom we have seen and heard, we announce to you, so that you, too, may have fellowship with us, and so that our fellowship may be with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
3 (HEM) את אשר ראינו ושמענו נודיעה לכם למען תתחברו לנו גם אתם והתחברותנו היא עם האב ועם בנו ישוע המשיח׃
3 (KAT) Čo sme videli a počuli, zvestujeme aj vám, aby ste aj vy mali spoločenstvo s nami. Veď my máme spoločenstvo s Otcom a s jeho Synom Ježišom Kristom.

4 (CPDV) And this we write to you, so that you may rejoice, and so that your joy may be full.
4 (HEM) ואת זאת כתבים אנחנו לכם למען תהיה שמחתכם שלמה׃
4 (KAT) A toto píšeme, aby naša radosť bola úplná.

5 (CPDV) And this is the announcement which we have heard from him, and which we announce to you: that God is light, and in him there is no darkness.
5 (HEM) וזאת היא השמועה אשר שמענו ממנו ונגד לכם כי האלהים אור הוא וכל חשך אין בו׃
5 (KAT) A toto je zvesť, ktorú sme od neho počuli a vám zvestujeme: Boh je svetlo a niet v ňom nijakej tmy.

6 (CPDV) If we claim that we have fellowship with him, and yet we walk in darkness, then we are lying and not telling the truth.
6 (HEM) אם נאמר כי יש לנו התחברות עמו ונתהלך בחשך הננו כזבים ופעלתנו איננה אמת׃
6 (KAT) Ak hovoríme, že máme s ním spoločenstvo, ale chodíme vo tme, luháme a nekonáme pravdu.

7 (CPDV) But if we walk in the light, just as he also is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
7 (HEM) אך אם באור נלך כאשר הוא באור הנה נתחברנו יחד ודם ישוע המשיח בנו יטהרנו מכל חטא׃
7 (KAT) Ale ak chodíme vo svetle, ako je on vo svetle, máme spoločenstvo medzi sebou a krv Ježiša, jeho Syna, nás očisťuje od každého hriechu.

8 (CPDV) If we claim that we have no sin, then we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
8 (HEM) אם נאמר כי אין בנו חטא הננו מתעים את נפשתינו והאמת אין בנו׃
8 (KAT) Ak hovoríme, že nemáme hriech, klameme sami seba a nie je v nás pravda.

9 (CPDV) If we confess our sins, then he is faithful and just, so as to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity.
9 (HEM) ואם נתודה את חטאתינו נאמן הוא וצדיק לסלח לנו את חטאתינו ולטהרנו מכל עון׃
9 (KAT) Ale ak vyznávame svoje hriechy, on je verný a spravodlivý: odpustí nám hriechy a očistí nás od každej neprávosti.

10 (CPDV) If we claim that we have not sinned, then we make him a liar, and his Word is not in us.
10 (HEM) ואם נאמר כי לא חטאנו לכזב נשימנו ודברו אין בנו׃
10 (KAT) Ak hovoríme, že sme nezhrešili, jeho robíme luhárom a nie je v nás jeho slovo.

Verš 8

If we claim that we have no sin, then we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

1Kr 8:46 - But if they sin against you, for there is no man who does not sin, and you, being angry, deliver them to their enemies, and they will have been led away as captives to the land of their enemies, whether far or near,

2Krn 6:36 - But if they will have sinned against you (for there is no man who does not sin) and you will have become angry against them, and if you will have delivered them to their enemies, and so they lead them away as captives to a far away land, or even to one that is near,

Jób 9:2 - Truly, I know that it is so, and that man cannot be justified compared with God.

Ž 143:2 - My mercy and my refuge, my supporter and my deliverer, my protector and him in whom I have hoped: he subdues my people under me.

Prís 20:9 - Who is able to say: “My heart is clean. I am pure from sin?”

Verš 1

He who was from the beginning, whom we have heard, whom we have seen with our eyes, upon whom we have gazed, and whom our hands have certainly touched: He is the Word of Life.

Jn 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word.

Jn 1:14 - And the Word became flesh, and he lived among us, and we saw his glory, glory like that of an only-begotten son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

2Pt 1:16 - For it was not by following fanciful doctrines that we made known to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were made eyewitnesses of his greatness.

Lk 24:39 - See my hands and feet, that it is I myself. Look and touch. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”

Jn 20:27 - Next, he said to Thomas: “Look at my hands, and place your finger here; and bring your hand close, and place it at my side. And do not choose to be unbelieving, but faithful.”

Verš 9

If we confess our sins, then he is faithful and just, so as to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity.

Ž 32:5 - He loves mercy and judgment. The earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

Prís 28:13 - Whoever hides his crimes will not be guided. But whoever will have confessed and abandoned them shall overtake mercy.

Verš 5

And this is the announcement which we have heard from him, and which we announce to you: that God is light, and in him there is no darkness.

Jn 1:9 - The true Light, which illuminates every man, was coming into this world.

Jn 8:12 - Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me does not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Jn 9:5 - As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Jn 12:35 - Therefore, Jesus said to them: “For a brief time, the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. But whoever walks in darkness does not know where is he going.

Verš 7

But if we walk in the light, just as he also is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Heb 9:14 - how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the Holy Spirit has offered himself, immaculate, to God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, in order to serve the living God?

1Pt 1:19 - but it was with the precious blood of Christ, an immaculate and undefiled lamb,

Zjv 1:5 - and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead, and the leader over the kings of the earth, who has loved us and has washed us from our sins with his blood,
