Heb 7, 1-28

1 (KJV) For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
1 (KAT) Tento Melchizedech, kráľ Salema, kňaz najvyššieho Boha, vyšiel totiž v ústrety Abrahámovi, ktorý sa vracal z porážky kráľov, a požehnal ho.

2 (KJV) To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
2 (KAT) A Abrahám mu odovzdal desiatok zo všetkého. Jeho meno sa prekladá najprv ako kráľ spravodlivosti, ale potom aj kráľ Salema, čo znamená kráľ Pokoja.

3 (KJV) Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
3 (KAT) Je bez otca, bez matky, bez rodokmeňa, ani jeho dni nemajú začiatku, ani jeho život nemá konca. A tak pripodobnený Božiemu Synovi zostáva kňazom naveky.

4 (KJV) Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
4 (KAT) Pozrite sa len, aký je veľký, keď mu aj patriarcha Abrahám dal desiatok z najlepšieho!

5 (KJV) And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
5 (KAT) A iste aj tí, čo z Léviho synov dostávajú kňazský úrad, majú príkaz brať podľa zákona desiatky od ľudu, to jest od vlastných bratov, hoci aj oni vyšli z Abrahámových bedier.

6 (KJV) But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
6 (KAT) Ale ten, čo k nim nepatrí podľa rodu, vzal desiatok od Abraháma a požehnal toho, ktorý mal prisľúbenia.

7 (KJV) And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
7 (KAT) A je nesporné, že väčší požehnáva menšieho.

8 (KJV) And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
8 (KAT) A potom: tu berú desiatky smrteľní ľudia, tam však ten, o ktorom sa vydáva svedectvo, že žije.

9 (KJV) And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
9 (KAT) Ba dalo by sa povedať, že skrze Abraháma odovzdal desiatky aj Lévi, ktorý prijíma desiatky;

10 (KJV) For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
10 (KAT) veď bol ešte v bedrách otca, keď mu vyšiel v ústrety Melchizedech.

11 (KJV) If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
11 (KAT) Keby sa teda dokonalosť bola dosiahla prostredníctvom levitského kňazstva, lebo pod ním ľud dostal zákon, načo by bol musel povstať ešte iný kňaz podľa radu Melchizedechovho, a nenazvať ho podľa radu Áronovho?

12 (KJV) For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
12 (KAT) Lebo keď sa zmení kňazstvo, musí sa zmeniť aj zákon.

13 (KJV) For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
13 (KAT) A ten, o ktorom sa toto hovorí, je z iného kmeňa, z ktorého nik nekonal službu pri oltári.

14 (KJV) For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
14 (KAT) Veď je známe, že náš Pán vzišiel z Júdu a vzhľadom na tento kmeň Mojžiš nič nepovedal o kňazoch.

15 (KJV) And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
15 (KAT) A toto je ešte zrejmejšie, keď povstáva iný kňaz podobný Melchizedechovi,

16 (KJV) Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
16 (KAT) ktorý sa ním nestal podľa predpisu zákona o telesnom pôvode, ale mocou nezničiteľného života.

17 (KJV) For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
17 (KAT) Veď o ňom znie svedectvo: „Ty si kňaz naveky podľa radu Melchizedechovho.“

18 (KJV) For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
18 (KAT) Tým sa ruší predchádzajúce prikázanie, lebo je slabé a neužitočné,

19 (KJV) For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
19 (KAT) - veď zákon nič nepriviedol k dokonalosti - a zavádza sa lepšia nádej, vďaka ktorej sa blížime k Bohu.

20 (KJV) And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
20 (KAT) A pretože sa to nestalo bez prísahy, - tamtí sa totiž stali kňazmi bez prísahy,

21 (KJV) (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
21 (KAT) tento však s prísahou toho, ktorý mu povedal: „Pán prisahal a nebude ľutovať: Ty si kňaz naveky,“ -

22 (KJV) By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
22 (KAT) Ježiš sa stal ručiteľom o toľko lepšej zmluvy.

23 (KJV) And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
23 (KAT) A tamtí sa mnohí stali kňazmi, lebo im smrť bránila zostať,

24 (KJV) But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
24 (KAT) no tento, pretože zostáva naveky, má kňazstvo, ktoré neprechádza na iného.

25 (KJV) Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
25 (KAT) Preto môže naveky spasiť tých, ktorí skrze neho prichádzajú k Bohu, lebo žije stále, aby sa za nich prihováral.

26 (KJV) For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
26 (KAT) Veď bolo aj vhodné, aby sme mali takého veľkňaza: svätého, nevinného, nepoškvrneného, oddeleného od hriešnikov, povýšeného nad nebesia,

27 (KJV) Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
27 (KAT) ktorý nepotrebuje ako veľkňazi deň čo deň prinášať obety najprv za svoje hriechy a potom za hriechy ľudu. On to urobil raz navždy, keď obetoval seba samého.

28 (KJV) For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
28 (KAT) Zákon totiž ustanovuje za veľkňazov ľudí podrobených slabosti, ale slovo prísahy, ktoré odznelo po zákone, ustanovuje Syna, dokonalého naveky.

Verš 1
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
Gn 14:18 - And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

Verš 5
And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
Nm 18:21 - And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Dt 18:1 - The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.
Joz 14:4 - For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.
2Krn 31:5 - And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the fields; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

Verš 6
But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
Gn 14:20 - And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Verš 11
If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
Gal 2:21 - I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Verš 14
For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
Iz 11:1 - And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Mt 1:3 - And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

Verš 17
For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Ž 110:4 - The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Heb 5:6 - As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Verš 19
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
Sk 13:39 - And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Rim 3:28 - Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Rim 8:3 - For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Gal 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Verš 21
(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
Ž 110:4 - The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Verš 25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
1Tim 2:5 - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1Jn 2:1 - My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Verš 27
Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
Lv 9:7 - And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.
Lv 16:6 - And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
Heb 5:3 - And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

Hebr 7,1-10 - Melchizedech je predobrazom Krista svojím menom (Melchizedech znamená "kráľ spravodlivosti"), ako aj svojím postavením nad Abrahámom a levitským kňazstvom, svojím tajuplným vstupom do dejín a svojím mimoriadnym kňazstvom.

Hebr 7,1 - "Kráľ Salema." Šalem bolo staré meno neskoršieho Jeruzalema. Skrýva v sebe semitské slovo šalom = pokoj.

Hebr 7,8 - Kým Abrahám a Lévi boli smrteľní ľudia, Melchizedechovo kňazstvo trvá večne.

Hebr 7,10 - Abrahám bol praded Léviho.

Hebr 7,11-17 - Svätopisec poukazuje na text žalmu 110 o ustanovení nového, večného "kňaza podľa radu Melchizedechovho" a tým zdôrazňuje, že levitské kňazstvo bolo nedokonalé a len dočasné. Ba nový kňaz (Kristus) ani nie je z kmeňa Léviho, ale z Júdovho.

Hebr 7,20-25 - Vznešenosť Kristovho kňazstva dokazuje autor listu dvoma dôvodmi: Boh urobil Krista veľkňazom na základe prísahy, kým v súvislosti so starozákonným kňazstvom takáto prísaha neodznela (v. 20–22); druhým dôvodom je večnosť Kristovho kňazstva (v. 23–25).

Hebr 7,21 - Ž 100, 4.
