Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things that that of Abel.

See that all of you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
Heb 2:3 - "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; "

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
Ag 2:6 - "For thus says the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; "

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
1Pt 2:5 - All of you also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

For our God is a consuming fire.
Dt 4:24 - For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
