1 (KJV) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
1 (SVD) ولكن اعلم هذا انه في الايام الاخيرة ستأتي ازمنة صعبة.
1 (B21) Buď si jist, že v posledních dnech nastanou těžké časy.
2 (KJV) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2 (SVD) لان الناس يكونون محبين لانفسهم محبين للمال متعظمين مستكبرين مجدّفين غير طائعين لوالديهم غير شاكرين دنسين
2 (B21) Lidé budou milovat jen sami sebe a své peníze; budou vychloubační, arogantní, urážliví, vzpurní k rodičům, nevděční, bezbožní,
3 (KJV) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
3 (SVD) بلا حنو بلا رضى ثالبين عديمي النزاهة شرسين غير محبين للصلاح
3 (B21) bezcitní, nesmiřitelní, pomlouvační, nevázaní, bezuzdní, nepřátelé dobra,
4 (KJV) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
4 (SVD) خائنين مقتحمين متصلفين محبين للذات دون محبة لله
4 (B21) zrádci, lehkomyslní, domýšliví, milovníci rozkoše spíše než milovníci Boha.
5 (KJV) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
5 (SVD) لهم صورة التقوى ولكنهم منكرون قوّتها. فاعرض عن هؤلاء.
5 (B21) Navenek sice budou ztělesněná zbožnost, ale její moc budou popírat. Od takových se odvracej.
6 (KJV) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
6 (SVD) فانه من هؤلاء هم الذين يدخلون البيوت ويسبون نسيّات محمّلات خطايا منساقات بشهوات مختلفة
6 (B21) Jsou mezi nimi i tací, kteří se vtírají do rodin, aby si získávali všelijaké ženské tížené vlastními hříchy a vedené nejrůznějšími touhami,
7 (KJV) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
7 (SVD) يتعلمن في كل حين ولا يستطعن ان يقبلن الى معرفة الحق ابدا.
7 (B21) které se pořád chtějí učit, ale nikdy nemohou dojít k poznání pravdy.
8 (KJV) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
8 (SVD) وكما قاوم ينّيس ويمبريس موسى كذلك هؤلاء ايضا يقاومون الحق. اناس فاسدة اذهانهم ومن جهة الايمان مرفوضون.
8 (B21) Tito lidé se zkaženou myslí a falešnou vírou nyní odporují pravdě, tak jako kdysi Jannes a Jambres odporovali Mojžíšovi.
9 (KJV) But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
9 (SVD) لكنهم لا يتقدمون اكثر لان حمقهم سيكون واضحا للجميع كما كان حمق ذينك ايضا
9 (B21) Daleko se však nedostanou; jejich pošetilost bude zřejmá všem tak jako kdysi pošetilost těch dvou.
10 (KJV) But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
10 (SVD) واما انت فقد تبعت تعليمي وسيرتي وقصدي وايماني واناتي ومحبتي وصبري
10 (B21) Ty sis však osvojil mé učení, můj způsob života, můj záměr, mou víru, trpělivost, lásku a vytrvalost.
11 (KJV) Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
11 (SVD) واضطهاداتي وآلامي مثل ما اصابني في انطاكية وايقونية ولسترة. ايّة اضطهادات احتملت. ومن الجميع انقذني الرب.
11 (B21) Poznal jsi pronásledování a utrpení, která mě potkala v Antiochii, v Ikoniu a v Lystře. Jaká pronásledování jsem přestál! Pán mě ale ze všech vysvobodil.
12 (KJV) Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
12 (SVD) وجميع الذين يريدون ان يعيشوا بالتقوى في المسيح يسوع يضطهدون.
12 (B21) Právě tak budou pronásledováni všichni, kdo chtějí žít zbožně v Kristu Ježíši.
13 (KJV) But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
13 (SVD) ولكن الناس الاشرار المزوّرين سيتقدمون الى اردأ مضلّين ومضلّين.
13 (B21) Se zlými lidmi a šarlatány to bude stále horší - budou svádět druhé, sami svedeni.
14 (KJV) But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
14 (SVD) واما انت فاثبت على ما تعلمت وايقنت عارفا ممن تعلمت.
14 (B21) Ty však zůstávej v tom, čemu ses naučil. Víš, že je to pravda, neboť víš, od koho ses učil.
15 (KJV) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
15 (SVD) وانك منذ الطفولية تعرف الكتب المقدسة القادرة ان تحكّمك للخلاص بالايمان الذي في المسيح يسوع.
15 (B21) Od dětství přece znáš svatá Písma, která ti dokáží dát moudrost ke spasení skrze víru v Krista Ježíše.
16 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
16 (SVD) كل الكتاب هو موحى به من الله ونافع للتعليم والتوبيخ للتقويم والتأديب الذي في البر
16 (B21) Veškeré Písmo je vdechnuté Bohem a je nanejvýš užitečné. Vyučuje nás a usvědčuje, napravuje a vychovává ve spravedlnosti,
17 (KJV) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
17 (SVD) لكي يكون انسان الله كاملا متأهبا لكل عمل صالح
17 (B21) aby byl Boží člověk dokonale připraven a vybaven ke každému dobrému dílu.

Verš 1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
1Tim 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2Pt 2:3 - And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
Júd 1:18 - How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
Verš 5
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Mt 18:17 - And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
Rim 16:17 - Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
2Sol 3:6 - Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
Mt 23:14 - Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Tít 1:11 - Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
Ex 7:11 - Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

2Kor 1:10 - Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
Verš 12
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Mt 16:24 - Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Lk 24:26 - Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
Jn 17:14 - I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sk 14:22 - Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
1Sol 3:3 - That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
Verš 16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Pt 1:20 - Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Tim 3,1 - "Posledné dni" podľa niektorých označujú čas pred príchodom Krista (Mt 24, 9–12). No pre Pavla sa eschatologické obdobie už začalo, ako to dosvedčuje záver v. 5.
2Tim 3,2-5 - Porov. Rim 1, 29 n.
2Tim 3,8 - Jannes a Jambres boli egyptskí čarodejníci, ktorí sa postavili proti Mojžišovi u faraóna. Porov. Ex 7, 11.22. Ich mená pochádzajú z hebrejskej tradície (apokryfy).
2Tim 3,11 - Pavol spomína, čo vytrpel počas svojej prvej apoštolskej cesty v Antiochii (Sk 13, 50), Ikóniu (Sk 14, 1–5) a v Lystre (Sk 14, 19–20). Lystra bola Timotejovým rodiskom.
2Tim 3,14 - Pavol tu pravdepodobne myslí na Timotejovu matku a starú matku, ktoré boli pôvodom židovky (porov. 1, 5), ale aj na seba.
2Tim 3,16 - Celé Sväté písmo je napísané z vnuknutia Ducha Svätého (inšpirácia). Ide o Starý zákon, ale nie je vylúčené, že sa myslí aj na niektoré texty Nového zákona (pozri poznámku k 1 Tim 5, 18)
