2Tim 2, 1-26

1 (KJV) Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
1 (SVD) فتقوّ انت يا ابني بالنعمة التي في المسيح يسوع.
1 (B21) Synu můj, čerpej sílu z milosti, která je v Kristu Ježíši.

2 (KJV) And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
2 (SVD) وما سمعته مني بشهود كثيرين اودعه اناسا امناء يكونون اكفاء ان يعلّموا آخرين ايضا.
2 (B21) Co jsi ode mě slyšel před mnoha svědky, to svěřuj věrným lidem, kteří budou schopni učit zase další.

3 (KJV) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
3 (SVD) فاشترك انت في احتمال المشقات كجندي صالح ليسوع المسيح.
3 (B21) Snášej útrapy jako dobrý voják Ježíše Krista.

4 (KJV) No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
4 (SVD) ليس احد وهو يتجند يرتبك باعمال الحياة لكي يرضي من جنّده.
4 (B21) Nikdo v bojové službě se neplete do civilních záležitostí; jinak by s ním velitel nebyl spokojen.

5 (KJV) And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
5 (SVD) وايضا ان كان احد يجاهد لا يكلّل ان لم يجاهد قانونيا.
5 (B21) Ani žádný závodník nezíská věnec, nezávodí-li podle pravidel.

6 (KJV) The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
6 (SVD) يجب ان الحرّاث الذي يتعب يشترك هو اولا في الاثمار.
6 (B21) I rolník musí těžce pracovat předtím, než okusí úrodu.

7 (KJV) Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
7 (SVD) افهم ما اقول. فليعطك الرب فهما في كل شيء.
7 (B21) Přemýšlej o mých slovech; Pán ti dá, abys to všechno pochopil.

8 (KJV) Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
8 (SVD) اذكر يسوع المسيح المقام من الاموات من نسل داود بحسب انجيلي
8 (B21) Pamatuj, že Ježíš Kristus z Davidova semene byl vzkříšen z mrtvých - to je mé evangelium.

9 (KJV) Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
9 (SVD) الذي فيه احتمل المشقات حتى القيود كمذنب. لكن كلمة الله لا تقيّد.
9 (B21) Pro ně snáším útrapy, dokonce i okovy jako zločinec; ale Boží slovo není v okovech.

10 (KJV) Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
10 (SVD) لاجل ذلك انا اصبر على كل شيء لاجل المختارين لكي يحصلوا هم ايضا على الخلاص الذي في المسيح يسوع مع مجد ابدي.
10 (B21) Proto jsem ochoten všechno vydržet kvůli vyvoleným, aby i oni došli spásy a věčné slávy v Kristu Ježíši.

11 (KJV) It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
11 (SVD) صادقة هي الكلمة انه ان كنا قد متنا معه فسنحيا ايضا معه.
11 (B21) Toto je jistá pravda: Jestli jsme s ním zemřeli, budeme s ním žít.

12 (KJV) If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
12 (SVD) ان كنا نصبر فسنملك ايضا معه. ان كنا ننكره فهو ايضا سينكرنا.
12 (B21) Jestli vytrváme, budeme s ním kralovat. Jestli jej zapřeme, i on nás zapře.

13 (KJV) If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
13 (SVD) ان كنا غير امناء فهو يبقى امينا لن يقدر ان ينكر نفسه
13 (B21) Jestli jsme nevěrní, on zůstává věrný - nemůže přece popřít sám sebe!

14 (KJV) Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
14 (SVD) فكّر بهذه الامور مناشدا قدام الرب ان لا يتماحكوا بالكلام. الامر غير النافع لشيء. لهدم السامعين.
14 (B21) Tyto věci připomínej a zapřísahej bratry před Bohem, ať se nehádají o slova - nevede to k žádnému užitku, jen ke zkáze posluchačů.

15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
15 (SVD) اجتهد ان تقيم نفسك للّه مزكّى عاملا لا يخزى مفصّلا كلمة الحق بالاستقامة.
15 (B21) Usiluj, aby ses mohl před Bohem postavit jako osvědčený dělník, který se nemá zač stydět a který správně vykládá slovo pravdy.

16 (KJV) But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
16 (SVD) واما الاقوال الباطلة الدنسة فاجتنبها لانهم يتقدمون الى اكثر فجور.
16 (B21) Vyhýbej se světským tlachům, které odvádějí lidi stále dál od Boha.

17 (KJV) And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
17 (SVD) وكلمتهم ترعى كآكلة. الذين منهم هيمينايس وفيليتس
17 (B21) Takové řeči se šíří jako rakovina. Vedou je lidé jako Hymenaios a Filetos,

18 (KJV) Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
18 (SVD) اللذان زاغا عن الحق قائلين ان القيامة قد صارت فيقلبان ايمان قوم.
18 (B21) kteří zbloudili z cesty pravdy a podvracejí víru některých lidí řečmi o tom, že už nastalo vzkříšení.

19 (KJV) Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
19 (SVD) ولكن اساس الله الراسخ قد ثبت اذ له هذا الختم. يعلم الرب الذين هم له. وليتجنب الاثم كل من يسمّي اسم المسيح.
19 (B21) Boží základ však pevně stojí a nese tento nápis: "Hospodin ví, kdo mu patří," a "Každý, kdo vyznává Pánovo jméno, ať opustí nepravost."

20 (KJV) But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
20 (SVD) ولكن في بيت كبير ليس آنية من ذهب وفضة فقط بل من خشب وخزف ايضا وتلك للكرامة وهذه للهوان.
20 (B21) Ve velikém domě nejsou jen zlaté a stříbrné nádoby, ale také dřevěné a hliněné; některé jsou na ozdobu a jiné na smetí.

21 (KJV) If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
21 (SVD) فان طهّر احد نفسه من هذه يكون اناء للكرامة مقدسا نافعا للسيد مستعدا لكل عمل صالح
21 (B21) Kdo si zachová čistotu od věcí, které jsem zmínil, bude vzácnou nádobou, posvěcenou a velmi užitečnou pro Pána, připravenou pro každé dobré dílo.

22 (KJV) Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
22 (SVD) اما الشهوات الشبابية فاهرب منها واتبع البر والايمان والمحبة والسلام مع الذين يدعون الرب من قلب نقي.
22 (B21) Utíkej tedy od mladických tužeb a následuj spravedlnost, víru, lásku a pokoj spolu s ostatními, kdo vzývají Pána z čistého srdce.

23 (KJV) But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
23 (SVD) والمباحثات الغبية والسخيفة اجتنبها عالما انها تولّد خصومات.
23 (B21) Hloupé a nesmyslné spory však odmítej; víš přece, že plodí jen hádky.

24 (KJV) And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
24 (SVD) وعبد الرب لا يجب ان يخاصم بل يكون مترفقا بالجميع صالحا للتعليم صبورا على المشقات
24 (B21) A Pánův služebník nemá být hádavý, ale ke všem přívětivý a snášenlivý a má být schopen učit

25 (KJV) In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
25 (SVD) مؤدبا بالوداعة المقاومين عسى ان يعطيهم الله توبة لمعرفة الحق
25 (B21) a s vlídností napravovat odpůrce. Kdo ví? Bůh je může přivést k pokání, aby poznali pravdu

26 (KJV) And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
26 (SVD) فيستفيقوا من فخ ابليس اذ قد اقتنصهم لارادته
26 (B21) a probrali se z ďáblovy pasti, do níž se nechali lapit, aby konali jeho vůli.

Verš 2
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Tít 1:5 - For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

Verš 4
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
1Kor 9:25 - And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Verš 6
The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
1Kor 9:10 - Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

Verš 8
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
2Sam 7:12 - And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
Ž 132:11 - The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
Iz 11:1 - And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Mt 1:1 - The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
Rim 8:17 - And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
2Kor 4:10 - Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
Flp 3:10 - That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Nm 23:19 - God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Rim 3:3 - For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Rim 9:6 - Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

Verš 16
But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
1Tim 1:4 - Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1Tim 4:7 - But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
1Tim 6:20 - O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
Tít 1:14 - Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
Tít 3:9 - But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Jn 10:14 - I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Verš 20
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
Rim 9:21 - Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Verš 22
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
1Tim 6:11 - But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Verš 23
But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
1Tim 1:4 - Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1Tim 6:4 - He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
Tít 3:9 - But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
1Tim 3:2 - A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

Verš 25
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
Gal 6:1 - Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

2Tim 2,2 - Pavol dokazuje dôležitosť ústneho podania v živote Cirkvi.

2Tim 2,4-6 - Timotej sa má oddať apoštolátu celý ako vojak, disciplinovaný ako pretekár a usilovný ako roľník.

2Tim 2,11-13 - Asi ide o úryvok z nejakého liturgického hymnu. Porov. 1 Tim 3, 16; 6, 15–16.

2Tim 2,17 - Hymeneus sa spomína aj v 1 Tim 1, 20.

2Tim 2,19 - Nápisy na pohanských chrámoch označovali ich určenie. Pre budovu Božej Cirkvi Pavol vyberá nápisy z Nm 16, 5 a Iz 26, 13; 52, 11. Cirkev patrí Bohu a je povolaná k svätosti.

2Tim 2,20-21 - Nie všetci z tých, čo sú v Cirkvi, sú dokonalí.

2Tim 2,26 - Zmysel gréckej pôvodiny je nejasný. Môže ísť o Božiu vôľu alebo diablovu. Pravdepodobnejší je druhý význam.
