1 (HEM) פולוס וסלונוס וטימותיוס אל קהלת התסלוניקים באלהים אבינו ובאדנינו ישוע המשיח׃
1 (VUL) Paulus et Silvanus et Timo theus ecclesiae Thessalonicen sium in Deo Patre nostro et Domino Iesu Christo:
1 (UKJV) Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 (HEM) חסד לכם ושלום מאת אלהים אבינו ואדנינו ישוע המשיח׃
2 (VUL) gratia vobis et pax a Deo Patre nostro et Domino Iesu Christo.
2 (UKJV) Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 (HEM) חיבים אנחנו להודות בכל עת לאלהים עליכם אחי כראוי כי אמונתכם גדלה מאד ורבה אהבת כלכם איש לרעהו׃
3 (VUL) Gratias agere debemus Deo semper pro vobis, fratres, sicut dignum est, quoniam supercrescit fides vestra, et abundat caritas uniuscuiusque omnium vestrum in invicem,
3 (UKJV) "We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith grows exceedingly, and the love (o. agape) of every one of you all toward each other abounds; "

4 (HEM) עד כי נתהלל בכם אף אנחנו בקהלות אלהים על סבלנותכם ועל אמונתכם בכל הרדיפות ובכל הלחץ אשר סבלתם׃
4 (VUL) ita ut et nos ipsi in vobis gloriemur in ecclesiis Dei pro patientia vestra et fide in omnibus persecutionibus vestris et tribulationibus, quas sustinetis,
4 (UKJV) So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that all of you endure:

5 (HEM) לאות צדקת משפט אלהים למען תמצאו ראוים למלכות האלהים אשר בעבורה גם תענו׃
5 (VUL) indicium iusti iudicii Dei, ut digni habeamini regno Dei, pro quo et patimini;
5 (UKJV) Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that all of you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which all of you also suffer:

6 (HEM) באשר צדיק האלהים לגמל לחץ ללחציכם׃
6 (VUL) si quidem iustum est apud Deum retribuere tribulationem his, qui vos tribulant,
6 (UKJV) "Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; "

7 (HEM) ולכם הנלחצים רוחה אתנו יחד בהגלות האדון ישוע מן השמים עם מלאכי עזו׃
7 (VUL) et vobis, qui tribulamini, requiem nobiscum in revelatione Domini Iesu de caelo cum angelis virtutis eius,
7 (UKJV) And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 (HEM) באש להבה להשיב נקם לאשר לא ידעו את האלהים ולא שמעו לבשורת אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃
8 (VUL) in igne flammae, dantis vindictam his, qui non noverunt Deum et qui non oboediunt evangelio Domini nostri Iesu;
8 (UKJV) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 (HEM) אשר ישאו משפט אבדן עולם מאת פני האדון ומהדר גאונו׃
9 (VUL) qui poenas dabunt interitu aeterno a facie Domini et a gloria virtutis eius,
9 (UKJV) "Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; "

10 (HEM) בבאו ביום ההוא להכבד בקדשיו ולהתפלא בכל המאמינים כי האמנתם לעדותנו אליכם׃
10 (VUL) cum venerit glorificari in sanctis suis et admirabilis fieri in omnibus, qui crediderunt; quia creditum est testimonium nostrum super vos in die illo.
10 (UKJV) When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

11 (HEM) לכן גם נתפלל בעדכם בכל עת אשר יתן אתכם אלהינו ראוים אל אשר אתם מקראים וימלא בעז כל חפצכם בטוב וכל מעשה אמונתכם׃
11 (VUL) Ad quod etiam oramus semper pro vobis, ut dignetur vos vocatione sua Deus noster et impleat omnem voluntatem bonitatis et opus fidei in virtute;
11 (UKJV) Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

12 (HEM) למען יכבד בכם שם ישוע אדנינו ואתם תכבדו בו על פי חסד אלהינו ואדנינו ישוע המשיח׃
12 (VUL) ut glorificetur nomen Domini nostri Iesu Christi in vobis, et vos in illo, secundum gratiam Dei nostri et Domini Iesu Christi.
12 (UKJV) That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and all of you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
