2Sol 1, 1-12

1 (CPDV) Paul and Sylvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians, in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 (KAT) Pavol, Silván a Timotej solúnskej cirkvi v Bohu, našom Otcovi, a v Pánu Ježišovi Kristovi:

2 (CPDV) Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 (KAT) Milosť vám a pokoj od Boha, nášho Otca, i od Pána Ježiša Krista.

3 (CPDV) We ought to give thanks always to God for you, brothers, in a fitting manner, because your faith is increasing greatly, and because the charity of each of you toward one another is abundant,
3 (KAT) Musíme ustavične vzdávať vďaky Bohu za vás, bratia, ako sa aj sluší, veď vaša viera veľmi vzrastá a vzájomná láska všetkých vás je čoraz väčšia.

4 (CPDV) so much so that we ourselves even glory in you among the churches of God, because of your patience and faith in all of your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,
4 (KAT) A tak sa aj my vami chválime po Božích cirkvách: pre vašu vytrvalosť a vieru vo všetkých prenasledovaniach a súženiach, ktoré znášate.

5 (CPDV) which are a sign of the just judgment of God, so that you may be held worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.
5 (KAT) A to je znamenie spravodlivého Božieho súdu, že budete uznaní za hodných Božieho kráľovstva, za ktoré trpíte.

6 (CPDV) For certainly, it is just for God to repay trouble to those who trouble you,
6 (KAT) A u Boha je spravodlivé, že odplatí súžením tým, čo vás sužujú,

7 (CPDV) and to repay you, who are being troubled, with a repose with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with the Angels of his virtue,
7 (KAT) a vám, sužovaným, odpočinkom s nami, keď sa z neba zjaví Pán Ježiš s anjelmi svojej moci,

8 (CPDV) granting vindication, by a flame of fire, against those who do not know God and who are not obedient to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8 (KAT) aby v ohnivom plameni potrestal tých, čo nepoznajú Boha, aj tých, čo odporujú evanjeliu nášho Pána Ježiša.

9 (CPDV) These shall be given the eternal punishment of destruction, apart from the face of the Lord and apart from the glory of his virtue,
9 (KAT) Za trest sa dostanú do večnej záhuby, ďaleko od Pánovej tváre a slávy jeho moci,

10 (CPDV) when he arrives to be glorified in his saints, and to become a wonder in all those who have believed, in that day, because our testimony has been believed by you.
10 (KAT) keď príde v onen deň, aby bol oslávený vo svojich svätých a obdivovaný vo všetkých veriacich; lebo u vás sa naše svedectvo stretlo s vierou.

11 (CPDV) Because of this, too, we pray always for you, so that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may complete every act of his goodness, as well as his work of faith in virtue,
11 (KAT) Preto sa aj ustavične modlíme za vás, aby vás náš Boh urobil hodnými svojho povolania a svojou mocou uskutočnil každý dobrý zámer a dielo viery,

12 (CPDV) in order that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
12 (KAT) aby bolo oslávené meno nášho Pána Ježiša Krista vo vás a vy v ňom, podľa milosti nášho Boha a Pána Ježiša Krista.

Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Kor 1:3 - Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Sol 1:1 - Paul and Sylvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians, in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Pt 1:2 - in accord with the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, with the obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: May grace and peace be multiplied for you.

Verš 3

We ought to give thanks always to God for you, brothers, in a fitting manner, because your faith is increasing greatly, and because the charity of each of you toward one another is abundant,

Ef 1:15 - Because of this, and hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus, and of your love toward all the saints,

Flp 1:3 - I give thanks to my God, with every remembrance of you,

Kol 1:3 - Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and 676 from the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying for you always.

1Sol 1:2 - Grace and peace to you. We give thanks to God always for all of you, keeping the memory of you in our prayers without ceasing,

Verš 4

so much so that we ourselves even glory in you among the churches of God, because of your patience and faith in all of your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,

1Sol 2:19 - For what is our hope, and our joy, and our crown of glory? Is it not you, before our Lord Jesus Christ at his return?

Verš 5

which are a sign of the just judgment of God, so that you may be held worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.

Júd 1:6 - And truly, the Angels, who did not keep to their first place, but instead abandoned their own domiciles, he has reserved with perpetual chains under darkness, unto the great day of judgment.

1Sol 2:14 - For you, brothers, have become imitators of the churches of God which are at Judea, in Christ Jesus. For you, too, have suffered the same things from your fellow countrymen as they have suffered from the Jews,

Verš 6

For certainly, it is just for God to repay trouble to those who trouble you,

Za 2:8 - For thus says the Lord of hosts: After the glory, he has sent me to the Gentiles, which have despoiled you. For he who touches you, touches the pupil of my eye.

Verš 7

and to repay you, who are being troubled, with a repose with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with the Angels of his virtue,

1Sol 4:16 - For the Lord himself, with a command and with the voice of an Archangel and with a trumpet of God, shall descend from heaven. And the dead, who are in Christ, shall rise up first.

Verš 8

granting vindication, by a flame of fire, against those who do not know God and who are not obedient to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Pt 3:7 - But the heavens and the earth that exist now were restored by the same Word, being reserved unto fire on the day of judgment, and unto the perdition of impious men.

Rim 2:8 - But to those who are contentious and who do not acquiesce to the truth, but instead trust in iniquity, he will render wrath and indignation.

Verš 9

These shall be given the eternal punishment of destruction, apart from the face of the Lord and apart from the glory of his virtue,

Iz 2:19 - And they will go into the caves of the rocks, and into the caverns of the earth, from the presence of the dread of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he will have risen up to strike the earth.

Verš 10

when he arrives to be glorified in his saints, and to become a wonder in all those who have believed, in that day, because our testimony has been believed by you.

Sk 1:11 - And they said: “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, shall return in just the same way that you have seen him going up to heaven.”

1Sol 1:10 - and to the expectation of his Son from heaven (whom he raised up from the dead), Jesus, who has rescued us from the approaching wrath.

Zjv 1:7 - Behold, he arrives with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall lament for themselves over him. Even so. Amen.
