1 (HEM) וזאת המצוה החקים והמשפטים אשר צוה יהוה אלהיכם ללמד אתכם לעשות בארץ אשר אתם עברים שמה לרשתה׃
1 (UKJV) Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that all of you might do them in the land where all of you go to possess it:

2 (HEM) למען תירא את יהוה אלהיך לשמר את כל חקתיו ומצותיו אשר אנכי מצוך אתה ובנך ובן בנך כל ימי חייך ולמען יארכן ימיך׃
2 (UKJV) "That you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged. "

3 (HEM) ושמעת ישראל ושמרת לעשות אשר ייטב לך ואשר תרבון מאד כאשר דבר יהוה אלהי אבתיך לך ארץ זבת חלב ודבש׃
3 (UKJV) "Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that all of you may increase mightily, as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you, in the land that flows with milk and honey. "

4 (HEM) שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד׃
4 (UKJV) Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

5 (HEM) ואהבת את יהוה אלהיך בכל לבבך ובכל נפשך ובכל מאדך׃
5 (UKJV) And you shall love the LORD your God with all of your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

6 (HEM) והיו הדברים האלה אשר אנכי מצוך היום על לבבך׃
6 (UKJV) And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart:

7 (HEM) ושננתם לבניך ודברת בם בשבתך בביתך ובלכתך בדרך ובשכבך ובקומך׃
7 (UKJV) And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

8 (HEM) וקשרתם לאות על ידך והיו לטטפת בין עיניך׃
8 (UKJV) And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

9 (HEM) וכתבתם על מזוזת ביתך ובשעריך׃
9 (UKJV) And you shall write them upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.

10 (HEM) והיה כי יביאך יהוה אלהיך אל הארץ אשר נשבע לאבתיך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב לתת לך ערים גדלת וטבת אשר לא בנית׃
10 (UKJV) And it shall be, when the LORD your God shall have brought you into the land which he swore unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and goodly cities, which you builded not,

11 (HEM) ובתים מלאים כל טוב אשר לא מלאת וברת חצובים אשר לא חצבת כרמים וזיתים אשר לא נטעת ואכלת ושבעת׃
11 (UKJV) "And houses full of all good things, which you filled not, and wells dug, which you dug not, vineyards and olive trees, which you planted not; when you shall have eaten and be full; "

12 (HEM) השמר לך פן תשכח את יהוה אשר הוציאך מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים׃
12 (UKJV) Then beware lest you forget the LORD, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

13 (HEM) את יהוה אלהיך תירא ואתו תעבד ובשמו תשבע׃
13 (UKJV) You shall fear the LORD your God, and serve him, and shall swear by his name.

14 (HEM) לא תלכון אחרי אלהים אחרים מאלהי העמים אשר סביבותיכם׃
14 (UKJV) "All of you shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you; "

15 (HEM) כי אל קנא יהוה אלהיך בקרבך פן יחרה אף יהוה אלהיך בך והשמידך מעל פני האדמה׃
15 (UKJV) (For the LORD your God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD your God be kindled against you, and destroy you from off the face of the earth.

16 (HEM) לא תנסו את יהוה אלהיכם כאשר נסיתם במסה׃
16 (UKJV) All of you shall not tempt the LORD your God, as all of you tempted him in Massah.

17 (HEM) שמור תשמרון את מצות יהוה אלהיכם ועדתיו וחקיו אשר צוך׃
17 (UKJV) All of you shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.

18 (HEM) ועשית הישר והטוב בעיני יהוה למען ייטב לך ובאת וירשת את הארץ הטבה אשר נשבע יהוה לאבתיך׃
18 (UKJV) And you shall do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which the LORD swore unto your fathers.

19 (HEM) להדף את כל איביך מפניך כאשר דבר יהוה׃
19 (UKJV) To cast out all of your enemies from before you, as the LORD has spoken.

20 (HEM) כי ישאלך בנך מחר לאמר מה העדת והחקים והמשפטים אשר צוה יהוה אלהינו אתכם׃
20 (UKJV) And when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God has commanded you?

21 (HEM) ואמרת לבנך עבדים היינו לפרעה במצרים ויוציאנו יהוה ממצרים ביד חזקה׃
21 (UKJV) "Then you shall say unto your son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: "

22 (HEM) ויתן יהוה אותת ומפתים גדלים ורעים במצרים בפרעה ובכל ביתו לעינינו׃
22 (UKJV) And the LORD showed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:

23 (HEM) ואותנו הוציא משם למען הביא אתנו לתת לנו את הארץ אשר נשבע לאבתינו׃
23 (UKJV) And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore unto our fathers.

24 (HEM) ויצונו יהוה לעשות את כל החקים האלה ליראה את יהוה אלהינו לטוב לנו כל הימים לחיתנו כהיום הזה׃
24 (UKJV) And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.

25 (HEM) וצדקה תהיה לנו כי נשמר לעשות את כל המצוה הזאת לפני יהוה אלהינו כאשר צונו׃
25 (UKJV) And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.
