1 (HEM) ונפן ונעל דרך הבשן ויצא עוג מלך הבשן לקראתנו הוא וכל עמו למלחמה אדרעי׃
1 (UKJV) Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

2 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה אלי אל תירא אתו כי בידך נתתי אתו ואת כל עמו ואת ארצו ועשית לו כאשר עשית לסיחן מלך האמרי אשר יושב בחשבון׃
2 (UKJV) "And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into your hand; and you shall do unto him as you did unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. "

3 (HEM) ויתן יהוה אלהינו בידנו גם את עוג מלך הבשן ואת כל עמו ונכהו עד בלתי השאיר לו שריד׃
3 (UKJV) So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we stroke him until none was left to him remaining.

4 (HEM) ונלכד את כל עריו בעת ההוא לא היתה קריה אשר לא לקחנו מאתם ששים עיר כל חבל ארגב ממלכת עוג בבשן׃
4 (UKJV) And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

5 (HEM) כל אלה ערים בצרות חומה גבהה דלתים ובריח לבד מערי הפרזי הרבה מאד׃
5 (UKJV) "All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside towns without protective walls a great many. "

6 (HEM) ונחרם אותם כאשר עשינו לסיחן מלך חשבון החרם כל עיר מתם הנשים והטף׃
6 (UKJV) And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.

7 (HEM) וכל הבהמה ושלל הערים בזונו לנו׃
7 (UKJV) But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

8 (HEM) ונקח בעת ההוא את הארץ מיד שני מלכי האמרי אשר בעבר הירדן מנחל ארנן עד הר חרמון׃
8 (UKJV) "And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon; "

9 (HEM) צידנים יקראו לחרמון שרין והאמרי יקראו לו שניר׃
9 (UKJV) "(Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;) "

10 (HEM) כל ערי המישר וכל הגלעד וכל הבשן עד סלכה ואדרעי ערי ממלכת עוג בבשן׃
10 (UKJV) All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

11 (HEM) כי רק עוג מלך הבשן נשאר מיתר הרפאים הנה ערשו ערש ברזל הלה הוא ברבת בני עמון תשע אמות ארכה וארבע אמות רחבה באמת איש׃
11 (UKJV) "For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man. "

12 (HEM) ואת הארץ הזאת ירשנו בעת ההוא מערער אשר על נחל ארנן וחצי הר הגלעד ועריו נתתי לראובני ולגדי׃
12 (UKJV) And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

13 (HEM) ויתר הגלעד וכל הבשן ממלכת עוג נתתי לחצי שבט המנשה כל חבל הארגב לכל הבשן ההוא יקרא ארץ רפאים׃
13 (UKJV) "And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants. "

14 (HEM) יאיר בן מנשה לקח את כל חבל ארגב עד גבול הגשורי והמעכתי ויקרא אתם על שמו את הבשן חות יאיר עד היום הזה׃
14 (UKJV) "Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day. "

15 (HEM) ולמכיר נתתי את הגלעד׃
15 (UKJV) And I gave Gilead unto Machir.

16 (HEM) ולראובני ולגדי נתתי מן הגלעד ועד נחל ארנן תוך הנחל וגבל ועד יבק הנחל גבול בני עמון׃
16 (UKJV) "And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon; "

17 (HEM) והערבה והירדן וגבל מכנרת ועד ים הערבה ים המלח תחת אשדת הפסגה מזרחה׃
17 (UKJV) The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.

18 (HEM) ואצו אתכם בעת ההוא לאמר יהוה אלהיכם נתן לכם את הארץ הזאת לרשתה חלוצים תעברו לפני אחיכם בני ישראל כל בני חיל׃
18 (UKJV) And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God has given you this land to possess it: all of you shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.

19 (HEM) רק נשיכם וטפכם ומקנכם ידעתי כי מקנה רב לכם ישבו בעריכם אשר נתתי לכם׃
19 (UKJV) "But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that all of you have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you; "

20 (HEM) עד אשר יניח יהוה לאחיכם ככם וירשו גם הם את הארץ אשר יהוה אלהיכם נתן להם בעבר הירדן ושבתם איש לירשתו אשר נתתי לכם׃
20 (UKJV) Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God has given them beyond Jordan: and then shall all of you return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.

21 (HEM) ואת יהושוע צויתי בעת ההוא לאמר עיניך הראת את כל אשר עשה יהוה אלהיכם לשני המלכים האלה כן יעשה יהוה לכל הממלכות אשר אתה עבר שמה׃
21 (UKJV) And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms where you pass.

22 (HEM) לא תיראום כי יהוה אלהיכם הוא הנלחם לכם׃
22 (UKJV) All of you shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

23 (HEM) ואתחנן אל יהוה בעת ההוא לאמר׃
23 (UKJV) And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

24 (HEM) אדני יהוה אתה החלות להראות את עבדך את גדלך ואת ידך החזקה אשר מי אל בשמים ובארץ אשר יעשה כמעשיך וכגבורתך׃
24 (UKJV) O Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works, and according to your might?

25 (HEM) אעברה נא ואראה את הארץ הטובה אשר בעבר הירדן ההר הטוב הזה והלבנון׃
25 (UKJV) I pray you, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

26 (HEM) ויתעבר יהוה בי למענכם ולא שמע אלי ויאמר יהוה אלי רב לך אל תוסף דבר אלי עוד בדבר הזה׃
26 (UKJV) "But the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice you; speak no more unto me of this matter. "

27 (HEM) עלה ראש הפסגה ושא עיניך ימה וצפנה ותימנה ומזרחה וראה בעיניך כי לא תעבר את הירדן הזה׃
27 (UKJV) Get you up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with your eyes: for you shall not go over this Jordan.

28 (HEM) וצו את יהושע וחזקהו ואמצהו כי הוא יעבר לפני העם הזה והוא ינחיל אותם את הארץ אשר תראה׃
28 (UKJV) But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.

29 (HEM) ונשב בגיא מול בית פעור׃
29 (UKJV) So we abode in the valley opposite to Bethpeor.
