1 (UKJV) When a man has taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he has found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
1 (LS) Lorsqu'un homme aura pris et épousé une femme qui viendrait à ne pas trouver grâce à ses yeux, parce qu'il a découvert en elle quelque chose de honteux, il écrira pour elle une lettre de divorce, et, après la lui avoir remise en main, il la renverra de sa maison.
2 (UKJV) And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
2 (LS) Elle sortira de chez lui, s'en ira, et pourra devenir la femme d'un autre homme.
3 (UKJV) "And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and gives it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife; "
3 (LS) Si ce dernier homme la prend en aversion, écrit pour elle une lettre de divorce, et, après la lui avoir remise en main, la renvoie de sa maison; ou bien, si ce dernier homme qui l'a prise pour femme vient à mourir,
4 (UKJV) "Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance. "
4 (LS) alors le premier mari qui l'avait renvoyée ne pourra pas la reprendre pour femme après qu'elle a été souillée, car c'est une abomination devant l'Eternel, et tu ne chargeras point de péché le pays que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, te donne pour héritage.
5 (UKJV) When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he has taken.
5 (LS) Lorsqu'un homme sera nouvellement marié, il n'ira point à l'armée, et on ne lui imposera aucune charge; il sera exempté par raison de famille pendant un an, et il réjouira la femme qu'il a prise.
6 (UKJV) No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: for he takes a man's life to pledge.
6 (LS) On ne prendra point pour gage les deux meules, ni la meule de dessus; car ce serait prendre pour gage la vie même.
7 (UKJV) "If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and makes merchandise of him, or sells him; then that thief shall die; and you shall put evil away from among you. "
7 (LS) Si l'on trouve un homme qui ait dérobé l'un de ses frères, l'un des enfants d'Israël, qui en ait fait son esclave ou qui l'ait vendu, ce voleur sera puni de mort. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu de toi.
8 (UKJV) Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so all of you shall observe to do.
8 (LS) Prends garde à la plaie de la lèpre, afin de bien observer et de faire tout ce que vous enseigneront les sacrificateurs, les Lévites; vous aurez soin d'agir d'après les ordres que je leur ai donnés.
9 (UKJV) Remember what the LORD your God did unto Miriam by the way, after that all of you were come forth out of Egypt.
9 (LS) Souviens-toi de ce que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, fit à Marie pendant la route, lors de votre sortie d'Egypte.
10 (UKJV) When you do lend your brother any thing, you shall not go into his house to fetch his pledge.
10 (LS) Si tu fais à ton prochain un prêt quelconque, tu n'entreras point dans sa maison pour te saisir de son gage;
11 (UKJV) You shall stand abroad, and the man to whom you do lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto you.
11 (LS) tu resteras dehors, et celui à qui tu fais le prêt t'apportera le gage dehors.
12 (UKJV) And if the man be poor, you shall not sleep with his pledge:
12 (LS) Si cet homme est pauvre, tu ne te coucheras point, en retenant son gage;
13 (UKJV) In any case you shall deliver him the pledge again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness unto you before the LORD your God.
13 (LS) tu le lui rendras au coucher du soleil, afin qu'il couche dans son vêtement et qu'il te bénisse; et cela te sera imputé à justice devant l'Eternel, ton Dieu.
14 (UKJV) You shall not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of your brethren, or of your strangers that are in your land within your gates:
14 (LS) Tu n'opprimeras point le mercenaire, pauvre et indigent, qu'il soit l'un de tes frères, ou l'un des étrangers demeurant dans ton pays, dans tes portes.
15 (UKJV) "At his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and sets his heart upon it: lest he cry against you unto the LORD, and it be sin unto you. "
15 (LS) Tu lui donneras le salaire de sa journée avant le coucher du soleil; car il est pauvre, et il lui tarde de le recevoir. Sans cela, il crierait à l'Eternel contre toi, et tu te chargerais d'un péché.
16 (UKJV) The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
16 (LS) On ne fera point mourir les pères pour les enfants, et l'on ne fera point mourir les enfants pour les pères; on fera mourir chacun pour son péché.
17 (UKJV) "You shall not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge: "
17 (LS) Tu ne porteras point atteinte au droit de l'étranger et de l'orphelin, et tu ne prendras point en gage le vêtement de la veuve.
18 (UKJV) But you shall remember that you were a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you thence: therefore I command you to do this thing.
18 (LS) Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave en Egypte, et que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, t'a racheté; c'est pourquoi je te donne ces commandements à mettre en pratique.
19 (UKJV) When you cut down your harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
19 (LS) Quand tu moissonneras ton champ, et que tu auras oublié une gerbe dans le champ, tu ne retourneras point la prendre: elle sera pour l'étranger, pour l'orphelin et pour la veuve, afin que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, te bénisse dans tout le travail de tes mains.
20 (UKJV) When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
20 (LS) Quand tu secoueras tes oliviers, tu ne cueilleras point ensuite les fruits restés aux branches: ils seront pour l'étranger, pour l'orphelin et pour la veuve.
21 (UKJV) When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21 (LS) Quand tu vendangeras ta vigne, tu ne cueilleras point ensuite les grappes qui y seront restées: elles seront pour l'étranger, pour l'orphelin et pour la veuve.
22 (UKJV) And you shall remember that you were a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command you to do this thing.
22 (LS) Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave dans le pays d'Egypte; c'est pourquoi je te donne ces commandements à mettre en pratique.

Dt 20:7 - And what man is there that has betrothed a wife, and has not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.

Remember what the LORD your God did unto Miriam by the way, after that all of you were come forth out of Egypt.
Nm 12:10 - "And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. "

In any case you shall deliver him the pledge again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness unto you before the LORD your God.

You shall not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of your brethren, or of your strangers that are in your land within your gates:
Lv 19:13 - You shall not defraud your neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with you all night until the morning.

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
2Kr 14:6 - "But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin. "
2Krn 25:4 - But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.
Jer 31:30 - But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eats the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.
Ez 18:20 - The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

"You shall not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge: "
Ex 22:21 - You shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for all of you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Prís 22:22 - Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
Iz 1:23 - Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loves gifts, and follows after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither does the cause of the widow come unto them.
Jer 5:28 - "They are becoming fat, they shine: yea, they pass over the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. "
Jer 22:3 - "Thus says the LORD; Execute all of you judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. "
Ez 22:29 - The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
Za 7:10 - "And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. "

When you cut down your harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
Lv 19:9 - And when all of you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
Lv 23:22 - And when all of you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not make clean purging of the corners of your field when you reap, neither shall you gather any gleaning of your harvest: you shall leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.
Dt 24,1-4 - Mojžišovské zákonodarstvo dovoľovalo manželskú rozluku. Muž mohol prepustiť manželku, keď u nej zbadal "niečo odporné", hebr. 'ervath-dábhár. Isteže to bola nejaká vážna chyba, či už telesná alebo mravná. V neskorších časoch však Židia prepúšťali svoje ženy pre hocaké malé nedorozumenie (Mt 19,3). Pre platnosť manželskej rozluky musel muž napísať, prípadne dal napísať kňazovi alebo pisárovi pre manželku zapudzujúci list, ktorý podpísali svedkovia. Tento úradný akt bol často príčinou, že muž si rozmyslel a ženu neprepustil, najmä keď ju chcel prepustiť pre nepatrnú vec. Muž musel list sám dať žene do rúk a z domu ju vystrčiť. Takto úradne prepustenú ženu nesmel si muž už neskoršie vziať za ženu, ak sa medzitým vydala za iného. O tom, či si mohol vziať takú zapudenú ženu, ktorá sa nevydala, v Písme nemáme zmienky. Zapudzujúcim, čiže prepúšťacím listom židovské manželstvo sa právne rozlučovalo a obe stránky boli voľné, mohli uzavrieť nové manželstvo. Kristus oproti tomu vyhlasuje manželský zväzok za nerozlučiteľný a dovolil len za určitých okolností rozvod, nie však manželskú rozluku. Pozri Gn 2,24.
Dt 24,5 - Pozri 20,7. Cieľom zákona je podporiť manželský zväzok a dovoliť užívať radosti, ktoré nie sú hriešne.
Dt 24,6 - Ručný mlynček bol v každej izraelskej domácnosti. Boli to dva kamene: spodný bol upevnený a vrchným sa po nasypanom obilí pohybovalo sem-tam a takto sa pripravovala múka.

Dt 24,8-9 - Porov. Lv 13,14.
Dt 24,12-13 - Odev je plášť, ktorým sa chudobní v noci prikrývali. Nemali iné, čím by sa prikryli (Ex 22,25 n.).
Dt 24,15 - Vyplácalo sa v naturáliách, preto je pochopiteľné, že robotník, ktorý nemal iný majetok a príjem, potreboval túto "plácu" k dennému živobytiu (Lv 19,13; Tob 4,14; Jak 5,4).
