1 (UKJV) He that is wounded in the stones, or has his private parts cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

2 (UKJV) "A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. "

3 (UKJV) "An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever: "

4 (UKJV) "Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when all of you came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. "

5 (UKJV) "Nevertheless the LORD your God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing unto you, because the LORD your God loved you. "

6 (UKJV) You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days for ever.

7 (UKJV) "You shall not detest an Edomite; for he is your brother: you shall not detest an Egyptian; because you were a stranger in his land. "

8 (UKJV) The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

9 (UKJV) When the host goes forth against your enemies, then keep you from every wicked thing.
9 (LS) Lorsque tu camperas contre tes ennemis, garde-toi de toute chose mauvaise.

10 (UKJV) If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chances him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
10 (LS) S'il y a chez toi un homme qui ne soit pas pur, par suite d'un accident nocturne, il sortira du camp, et n'entrera point dans le camp;

11 (UKJV) But it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

12 (UKJV) You shall have a place also without the camp, where you shall go forth abroad:

13 (UKJV) "And you shall have a paddle upon your weapon; and it shall be, when you will ease yourself abroad, you shall dig therewith, and shall turn back and cover that which comes from you: "

14 (UKJV) "For the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore shall your camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in you, and turn away from you. "

15 (UKJV) You shall not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto you:

16 (UKJV) He shall dwell with you, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of your gates, where it likes him best: you shall not oppress him.

17 (UKJV) There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

18 (UKJV) You shall not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD your God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD your God.

19 (UKJV) "You shall not lend upon interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of any thing that is lent upon interest: "

20 (UKJV) "Unto a stranger you may lend upon interest; but unto your brother you shall not lend upon interest: that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you set your hand to in the land where you go to possess it. "

21 (UKJV) "When you shall vow a vow unto the LORD your God, you shall not slack to pay it: for the LORD your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you. "
21 (LS) Si tu fais un voeu à l'Eternel, ton Dieu, tu ne tarderas point à l'accomplir: car l'Eternel, ton Dieu, t'en demanderait compte, et tu te chargerais d'un péché.

22 (UKJV) But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you.

23 (UKJV) "That which is gone out of your lips you shall keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as you have vowed unto the LORD your God, which you have promised with your mouth. "

24 (UKJV) "When you come into your neighbour's vineyard, then you may eat grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your vessel. "

25 (UKJV) "When you come into the standing corn of your neighbour, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle unto your neighbour's standing corn. "

Dt 23, 1-25

Verš 19
"You shall not lend upon interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of any thing that is lent upon interest: "
Ex 22:25 - If you lend money to any of my people that is poor by you, you shall not be to him as an usurer, neither shall you lay upon him interest.
Lv 25:36 - "Take you no interest of him, or increase: but fear your God; that your brother may live with you. "
Neh 5:2 - For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.
Lk 6:34 - And if all of you lend to them of whom all of you hope to receive, what thank have all of you? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

Verš 25
"When you come into the standing corn of your neighbour, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle unto your neighbour's standing corn. "
Mt 12:1 - "At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. "

Verš 3
"An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever: "
Neh 13:1 - "On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever; "

Verš 4
"Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when all of you came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. "
Lv 22:3 - Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goes unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the LORD.

Verš 21
"When you shall vow a vow unto the LORD your God, you shall not slack to pay it: for the LORD your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you. "
Nm 30:2 - "If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth. "

Dt 23,1 - Zohaveného človeka nepovažovali za úplného človeka. Ani obetné zviera, čo malo nejakú chybu, nesmelo sa obetovať. Porov. tiež Lv 21,17–24.

Dt 23,2 - Čo vlastne značí mamzer, je neisté. Podľa židovskej tradície by to bolo dieťa, splodené z cudzoložstva, krvismilstva alebo zo zakázaného manželstva (Zach 9,6 a Neh 13,27) s pohanskou ženou.

Dt 23,7-8 - Edomčania sú potomci Ezaua, brata Jakubovho, a preto, hoci odopreli Izraelitom prechod cez svoje územie (Nm 20,18.20), keď Izraeliti tiahli do zasľúbenej zeme, neslobodno ich nenávidieť.

Pozri Ex 32,19; 34,26; Joz 6,24. "Psí plat" je zárobok spomenutých mužov.

Dt 23,19 - Izraelitom bolo zakázané požadovať úroky od súkmeňovcov. Zákon o úrokoch nebol nespravodlivý, pretože peniaze v ten čas nemali taký význam ako dnes. Porov. Lv 25,37; Ex 22,25; Dt 15,10; Ž 15,5; Prís 28,8.

Dt 23,21 - Pozri Nm 30,3.
