2. list Korinťanom

1 (KAT) Bratia, oznamujeme vám, akú milosť dal Boh macedónskym cirkvám:
1 (VUL) Notam autem facimus vobis, fratres, gratiam Dei, quae data est in ecclesiis Macedoniae,
1 (UKJV) "Moreover, brethren, we do you to know of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; "

2 (KAT) že v mnohých skúškach súženia z ich veľkej radosti a krajnej chudoby vzišlo bohatstvo ich štedrosti.
2 (VUL) quod in multo experimento tribulationis abundantia gaudii ipsorum et altissima paupertas eorum abundavit in divitias simplicitatis eorum;
2 (UKJV) How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

3 (KAT) Môžem dosvedčiť, že koľko mohli, ba aj viac, ako mohli, sami od seba
3 (VUL) quia secundum virtutem, testimonium reddo, et supra virtutem voluntarii fuerunt
3 (UKJV) "In order to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; "

4 (KAT) nás naliehavo prosili, aby sme im dopriali milosť mať účasť na službe svätým.
4 (VUL) cum multa exhortatione obsecrantes nos gratiam et communicationem ministerii, quod fit in sanctos.
4 (UKJV) Praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

5 (KAT) Ba nad naše očakávanie samých seba odovzdali najprv Pánovi a potom z Božej vôle aj nám;
5 (VUL) Et non sicut speravimus, sed semetipsos dederunt primum Domino, deinde nobis per voluntatem Dei,
5 (UKJV) And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

6 (KAT) takže sme poprosili Títa, aby tak, ako začal toto dielo lásky, aj ho u vás dokončil.
6 (VUL) ita ut rogaremus Titum, ut, quemadmodum coepit, ita et perficiat in vos etiam gratiam istam.
6 (UKJV) Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

7 (KAT) A ako vynikáte vo všetkom: vo viere, v slove, v poznaní, vo všetkej horlivosti a v láske, ktorú sme vo vás vzbudili, tak vyniknite aj v tomto diele lásky.
7 (VUL) Sed sicut in omnibus abundatis, fide et sermone et scientia et omni sollicitudine et caritate ex nobis in vobis, ut et in hac gratia abundetis.
7 (UKJV) Therefore, as all of you abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, (o. logos) and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love (o. agape) to us, see that all of you abound in this grace also.

8 (KAT) Nehovorím vám to ako rozkaz, ale horlivosťou iných skúšam pravosť aj vašej lásky.
8 (VUL) Non quasi imperans dico, sed per aliorum sollicitudinem etiam vestrae caritatis ingenitum bonum comprobans;
8 (UKJV) I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. (o. agape)

9 (KAT) Veď poznáte milosť nášho Pána Ježiša Krista, že hoci bol bohatý, stal sa pre vás chudobným, aby ste sa vy jeho chudobou obohatili.
9 (VUL) scitis enim gratiam Domini nostri Iesu Christi, quoniam propter vos egenus factus est, cum esset dives, ut illius inopia vos divites essetis.
9 (UKJV) For all of you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that all of you through his poverty might be rich.

10 (KAT) A v tomto dávam radu. Toto je vám na osoh, vám, čo ste už minulého roku začali nielen konať, ale aj chcieť.
10 (VUL) Et consilium in hoc do. Hoc enim vobis utile est, qui non solum facere, sed et velle coepistis ab anno priore;
10 (UKJV) And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.

11 (KAT) Teraz to teda aj uskutočnite, aby ako bol duch ochotný chcieť, tak bol ochotný aj vykonať, z toho, čo máte.
11 (VUL) nunc vero et facto perficite, ut, quemadmodum promptus est animus velle, ita sit et perficere ex eo, quod habetis.
11 (UKJV) "Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which all of you have. "

12 (KAT) Lebo ak je ochotná vôľa, cení sa podľa toho, čo kto má, a nie podľa toho, čo nemá.
12 (VUL) Si enim voluntas prompta est, secundum id quod habet, accepta est, non secundum quod non habet.
12 (UKJV) For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man has, and not according to that he has not.

13 (KAT) Veď nejde o to, aby sa iným poľahčilo a vám priťažilo, ale o isté vyrovnanie.
13 (VUL) Non enim, ut aliis sit remissio, vobis autem tribulatio; sed ex aequalitate
13 (UKJV) For I mean not that other men be eased, and all of you burdened:

14 (KAT) Teraz váš prebytok im pomôže v nedostatku, aby zasa ich prebytok pomohol v nedostatku vám; a tak sa to vyrovná, ako je napísané:
14 (VUL) in praesenti tempore vestra abundantia illorum inopiam suppleat, ut et illorum abundantia vestram inopiam suppleat, ut fiat aequalitas, sicut scriptum est:
14 (UKJV) But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their lack, that their abundance also may be a supply for your lack: that there may be equality:

15 (KAT) „Kto mal mnoho, nemal prebytok, a kto málo, nemal nedostatok.“
15 (VUL) “ Qui multum, non abundavit; et, qui modicum, non minoravit ”.
15 (UKJV) "As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. "

16 (KAT) Vďaka Bohu, že vložil do Títovho srdca takú istú starosť o vás.
16 (VUL) Gratias autem Deo, qui dedit eandem sollicitudinem pro vobis in corde Titi,
16 (UKJV) But thanks be to God, which put the same earn care into the heart of Titus for you.

17 (KAT) Lebo nielenže výzvu prijal, ale vo svojej veľkej horlivosti sám od seba šiel k vám.
17 (VUL) quoniam exhortationem quidem suscepit, sed, cum sollicitior esset, sua voluntate profectus est ad vos.
17 (UKJV) "For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you. "

18 (KAT) Poslali sme s ním aj brata, ktorý si evanjeliom získal chválu vo všetkých cirkvách.
18 (VUL) Misimus etiam cum illo fratrem, cuius laus est in evangelio per omnes ecclesias
18 (UKJV) "And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches; "

19 (KAT) A nielen to, ale cirkvi ho poverili, aby nás sprevádzal pri tomto diele lásky, ktoré konáme na Pánovu slávu a na prejavenie našej ochoty;
19 (VUL) — non solum autem, sed et ordinatus ab ecclesiis comes noster cum hac gratia, quae ministratur a nobis ad Domini gloriam et destinatam voluntatem nostram —
19 (UKJV) And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:

20 (KAT) pričom sa chránime, aby nám nik nemohol nič vyčítať pri týchto veľkých daroch, ktoré opatrujeme.
20 (VUL) devitantes hoc, ne quis nos vituperet in hac plenitudine, quae ministratur a nobis;
20 (UKJV) Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:

21 (KAT) Veď sa usilujeme robiť dobre nielen pred Pánom, ale aj pred ľuďmi.
21 (VUL) providemus enim bona non solum coram Domino sed etiam coram hominibus.
21 (UKJV) Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

22 (KAT) Poslali sme s nimi aj nášho brata, o ktorom sme sa veľa ráz presvedčili, že je horlivý v mnohých veciach - a teraz bude ešte horlivejší, lebo vám veľmi dôveruje.
22 (VUL) Misimus autem cum illis et fratrem nostrum, quem probavimus in multis saepe sollicitum esse, nunc autem multo sollicitiorem, confidentia multa in vos.
22 (UKJV) And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.

23 (KAT) Čo sa týka Títa, on je môj spoločník a spolupracovník u vás. A naši bratia sú apoštolmi cirkví, Kristovou slávou.
23 (VUL) Sive pro Tito, est socius meus et in vos adiutor; sive fratres nostri, apostoli ecclesiarum, gloria Christi.
23 (UKJV) Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellow-helper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.

24 (KAT) A tak im prejavte svoju lásku a pred cirkvami im ukážte, prečo sa vami chválime.
24 (VUL) Ostensionem ergo, quae est caritatis vestrae et nostrae gloriationis pro vobis, in illos ostendite in faciem ecclesiarum.
24 (UKJV) Wherefore show all of you to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, (o. agape) and of our boasting on your behalf.
