2 (KAT) Poznám človeka v Kristovi, ktorý bol pred štrnástimi rokmi - neviem, či v tele, či mimo tela, tiež neviem, to vie Boh, - uchvátený až do tretieho neba.

6 (KAT) Veď ak sa aj budem chcieť chváliť, nebudem nerozumný, lebo budem hovoriť pravdu. Ale zdŕžam sa, aby si niekto nemyslel o mne viac, ako vidí na mne alebo počuje odo mňa,
6 (VUL) Nam, et si voluero gloriari, non ero insipiens, veritatem enim dicam; parco autem, ne quis in me existimet supra id, quod videt me aut audit ex me,
6 (UKJV) "For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he sees me to be, or that he hears of me. "

10 (KAT) Preto mám záľubu v slabostiach, v potupe, v núdzi, v prenasledovaní a v úzkostiach pre Krista; lebo keď som slabý, vtedy som silný.
10 (VUL) Propter quod placeo mihi in infirmitatibus, in contumeliis, in necessitatibus, in persecutionibus et in angustiis, pro Christo; cum enim infirmor, tunc potens sum.
10 (UKJV) Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

13 (KAT) Lebo o čo ste boli ukrátení v porovnaní s ostatnými cirkvami okrem toho, že som vám nebol na ťarchu? Odpusťte mi túto krivdu.
13 (VUL) Quid est enim quod minus habuistis prae ceteris ecclesiis, nisi quod ego ipse non gravavi vos? Donate mihi hanc iniuriam.

14 (KAT) A toto som už tretí raz pripravený ísť k vám a nebudem vám na ťarchu. Veď netúžim po vašich veciach, ale po vás; lebo nie deti sú povinné sporiť pre rodičov, ale rodičia pre deti.
14 (VUL) Ecce tertio hoc paratus sum venire ad vos et non ero gravis vobis; non enim quaero, quae vestra sunt, sed vos; nec enim debent filii parentibus thesaurizare, sed parentes filiis.
14 (UKJV) "Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not your's but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. "

15 (KAT) A ja veľmi rád vynaložím všetko, ba aj seba samého vydám za vaše duše. Ak vás ja tak veľmi milujem, mám byť menej milovaný?
15 (VUL) Ego autem libentissime impendam et superimpendar ipse pro animabus vestris. Si plus vos diligo, minus diligar?

19 (KAT) Už dávno si myslíte, že sa chceme pred vami vyhovárať? Hovoríme pred Bohom v Kristovi; a všetko, milovaní, pre vaše budovanie.
19 (VUL) Olim putatis quod excusemus nos apud vos? Coram Deo in Christo loquimur; omnia autem, carissimi, propter vestram aedificationem.
19 (UKJV) Again, think all of you that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

20 (KAT) Lebo sa bojím, aby som vás, až prídem, nenašiel azda takých, akých nechcem, a vy aby ste nenašli mňa, akého nechcete. Aby azda neboli sváry, žiarlivosť, hnevy, rozbroje, utŕhania, klebety, vystatovanie, nepokoje.

20 (UKJV) For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as all of you would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

21 (KAT) Aby ma zasa, až prídem, môj Boh u vás nepokoril, aby som nemusel žialiť nad mnohými z tých, čo predtým zhrešili a nerobili pokánie za nečistotu, smilstvo a necudnosť, ktorých sa dopustili.
21 (VUL) ne iterum, cum venero, humiliet me Deus meus apud vos, et lugeam multos ex his, qui ante peccaverunt et non egerunt paenitentiam super immunditia et fornicatione et impudicitia, quam gesserunt.
21 (UKJV) And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall mourn for many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
